To be driven crazy by a few very, very common expressions on Mumsnet?

Here are two to start with:

"Just that really." after the initial title of the post, sometimes accompanied by shrug emoji.

The word "surely".

Do you have any that irrationally irritate you?

Like someone is going to track them down, I don’t even get it, I don’t think you can see peoples other posts like Reddit. Or I don’t know how!

also abbreviations that I don’t actually understand what they mean at all and whilst I’m at at honestly I hate the whole DP DH DC D stupid abbreviations!

Another one for “gently”, I just think “oh fuck off” as soon as I read it. This may be unwarranted but it drives me nuts.

Hardly exclusive to Mumsnet but when I see a mention of “quality fabric” or in particular “pure cotton”. I have no idea why it gets to me so much but it instantly ends my engagement with the thread.

a hard stare is a Look.

Paddington Bear had a particular Look that he would use, possibly on Mr Brown, possibly on Mr Curry, possibly on random policemen... anyway the Hard Stare became a bit of a quoty thing in a certain generation

I actually think weirdly that’s why I don’t like them? I appreciate that about CF’ers but I don’t like that kind of retribution (eg leaving them blocked in etc) even tho I realise it’s deserved!
