Letter from HA about loud music?

So basically I received a letter from my HA about loud music causing a disturbance to other residents here.

I am the only one who received it.

I suspect my NDN reported me as I don't think who else it could be?

Surely they could have just left a polite note or approached me?

I assume this will be on my file now?

I do play music in the garden at times but surely if it was a nuisance they could have asked me via the neighbours hood WhatsApp group/ Facebook group?

They might have worried about your potential reaction.

Better get headphones.

Yes it will be kept on record but wont do you any harm unless the noise complaints continue.

I wouldn't speak to the neighbours directly about noise unless I knew them pretty well.

I'd probably move house before I'd complain though. I live in a terrace property and have quite a high tolerance of other people's day to day noise.

Do you play loud music?
If so, turn it down.
If not, either ignore the letter, or query it with the HA as you don't play loud music.

well, the housing association will have a copy of the letter on your account, yes. That doesn’t mean anything though.

it would’ve been better if they’d spoken to you but loads and loads of people don’t have the confidence to do that and would rather waste a companies time instead 🙄
why don’t you pop round say sorry and keep it down? That’s the mature thing to do
