Honestly, so disappointed.
Tresemme was great value for money. I accepted when the 800ml bottles sneakily changed to 680 or whatever the volume of ozempic tresemme became. It was still okay - most supermarkets kept the offer price at £3.50, it smells nice, lasted a long time, I don’t need anything salon quality it did the job.
New bottles are 500 or so ml, look awful and no longer on offer, the price is easily hitting the £5 mark.

AIBU to be fed up of everything getting smaller and prices going up?

And yes, I understand companies can do what they want, I know prices go up. But what a sad little life for us consumers.

Does anyone find the small black flip top bottles leak easily? I had one leak in my gym bag which was annoying as I got there and my clothes were covered in shampoo.

Bought a new bottle and the next week, the new one did exactly the same!

YABU for using Tresemmé, my hairdresser says it’s the worst for hair. (And my haircut is £10 for a trim so she is not elite).

L’Oreal Paris Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic 1 litre bottle with a pump is £7.50 at Home Bargains. That should last you ages?

I had been buying this for ds so he stopped using my Ouai shampoo! He doesn’t care what brand it is, if it says shampoo and it’s within reach, he’s using it.
Ive switched to Aussie for him now, can usually get 2 bottles for a tenner and it lasts him a while.

I like Tresemme but I don’t like the plastic collar thing on the new bottle that you snap off. Seems very wasteful to me.

Same. It was the only brand that worked for my sensitive scalp and dry hair. Then when they changed the formula my head made it known :-(

Use Umberto Gianni Thirsty Curls now. More expensive, but no scalp reaction.

Aussie is very good for the cost. I particularly like the Gloss range & the serum is great & lasts forever. I find it much better than £££ bottles & it's one of a very few my sensitive skin can use (it has a scent, so no idea why, I reckon they avoid whatever ingredient that's in others that my body doesn't like- and I have tried soooooo many).

I really like the coconut ones. Mostly get them on Amazon as shop stock is often rubbish.

I decanted the contents of the new pump one into the old flip lid top bottle. As another poster said the pump tube doesn't reach fully to the bottom, so you are going to be left with stuff in the bottom anyway.

From an environmental perspective, it looks like more packaging to me as well, because as well as the plastic pump, you have a protective cuff on the pump, which is entirely useless apart from being a cuff for transporting the product. The bottle is also made of thicker plastic and has some really outdated 1980s look to it. Plus you get way less product!!!!!!

We get the 900ml bottles of conditioner in Home Bargains whenever we see them for about £3.50. 3 long haired curly co-washers here so we get through A LOT.

I bought a couple of pumps to fit the big bottles so I don’t have to pick them up. It also help DD manage portion control because she now counts the pumps rather than using handfuls of shampoo which took hours to rinse out.
I’m going to stock up if they are stopping!

There’s nothing like the excruciating pain of the huge bottles falling in the shower on one’s foot. Honestly, every time I went to wash my hair it felt like I was gambling on it being an opening scene from 90s episode of Casualty.

Think they still do the kettlebell weight bottles in Home Bargains etc.

The new bottles are awful! Because they are a pump design, the 'straw' doesn't reach all the way to the bottom of the bottle and there is 20% of the product still in there with no way of getting it out. 😡
I resorted to a pair of scissors and cut the bloody thing in half to get the remaining product. Not impressed.

I did see some of the old bottles in Home Bargains though

Noooo I’m still working through an old bottle but had no idea the new one is a pump!!

Agree @NCso ! Was horrified by the new bottle. Just so crap. I love the Lamellar Shine Shampoo and conditioner. They are the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used and I'm an ancient crone, so I've tried a few.

I am going to use SM to let Unilever know how much I dislike the new Tresemme packaging.

I think the product is okay for a lowish priced shampoo and conditioner, but I hate the bottles, I struggle squeezing them, and they get stuck in a squeezed shape and don’t go back to normal and then I can’t use all the product. Not a good design. Much prefer the Aussie range.

It's surprising (or perhaps not) how many bottles like this are really difficult to use. I decant my shampoo and conditioner into travel bottles, even when at home because I was sick of struggling with the bottles with wet hands in the shower.

But it's not that surprising that the price has gone up. 800 ml of shampoo must last forever and if you're only paying £3.50 for it, your shampoo spend will be tiny so likely not profitable for them.

Haven’t used it for years, I think they altered it and it gave me dandruff.
