To ask how old your 13 year olds are

I have 5 kids. when they were 13 they ranged in age between 13 years 0 days old and 13 years 364 days old. 😆
Height wise my boys all had big growth spurts towards the end of being 13. They were all around 5ft 1 when they turned 13, and were around 5ft 8 turning 14. Now at age 23 and 21 (twins) the twins are 5ft 11 and 5ft 10 and my 23 year old is 6ft.
My girls are vastly different in height, one is 5ft tall (age 20) and the other 5ft 8 (age 19) they were similar heights at 11 (around 4ft 11) but dd1 pretty much stopped growing there and dd2 did not. at 13 they were 5ft and 5ft 3

I haven't measured my just turned 13 year old for a long time, but when he stands next to his mates, he is about 3 inches or so taller than the majority so tall, but not massively so. He wears age 14-15 trousers for length and wears a size 7 shoe.

My 15 year old, however, is 6ft 3, still seems to be growing and is in size 11 shoes! He was of a couple of inches or so taller than his friends until about 18 months ago when he suddenly shot up, so I guess that could.happen to him too. He is stocky.though, while 13 years old is lanky and gangly.

Me and their dad are tall though - dad is 6f2 and im 5f11 so I think all the kids.will be tall.

My son was 5ft 8 at 13, I thought he was going to be over 6ft, but he never grew any more and he's 23 now.

Yes, I have a 12 year old and an 11 year old DD and generally the girls are taller than the boys at this age. A lot of the boys still look like babies, whereas
the girls are starting to look like young women.

Mine is a DD so might not count but she will be 13 in October and she’s the same height as me, 5ft5.
At this age they all grow at different rates though, some are almost fully grown and some still have a lot of growth left in them. It’s impossible to compare.

I've got a photo of DS2 on his 13th birthday and he only came up to my shoulder, and I’m only 5’2” tall. A year later, a photo shows he’s grown a bit, but he was still shorter than me.

He finally had a massive growth spurt when he went to college at 16 and carried on growing till he was 21. He’s now 23 and 6’1”, which took us by surprise as I’m quite small and DH is only 5’7”.

My DD was 5ft 3” at 10. She was taller than me when she was still at juniors .. (I’m 5ft 7”).. I’d say she was 5ft 8 at 12 and now at 15 is 5ft 10”.
my nephew was also really tall, when he was 12/13 he was nearing 6ft! As an adult he’s now 6ft 5”.
We all grow at different rates.. my older brother was always tall, stopped growing shy of 6ft.. my little brother was always quite small, he shot up later and grew till he was 22!… stopped at 6ft 4”

My DS was tiny at 13. He only shit up in Y10-11. He's now going on 18 and six foot. He's caught up or overtaken most of his tall friends, which he's highly chuffed about. So height at 13 can just mean you developed earlier. Not an indication of future height.

5ft 4" he turned 13 in April. His Dads 5"5 and his much older sister is only 5ft 2 so it's a bit of a surprise.

DS isn't 13 till January and is 5 foot 6 inches currently. I'd say he's on the taller end of average for his year group but by no means is he amongst the very tall kids. Though I have noticed that it's the girls who seem to be tallest in his year group.

My 11 year old is 5ft 7in and a size 9 shoe. He currently has a risser score of 0, so he hasn’t started growing yet, but his spinal consultant has suggested he will be at least 6ft 7.

Is it? There’s often ‘what height are your 4/7/14 year old?’ threads. I’m not sure it’s that weird. I remember there being many threads asking about baby/toddler/child weights and shoe sizes too

My 12 year old DS is 5’8”.

Ds1 was tiny at age 13 (5’ 2?). He shot up in his late teens and is now about 6 feet tall. He grew a lot 19 -20 years old.

12yo is 5ft 9.5.
Hes the tallest in his class.

13 is a funny age, some kids have shot up and are almost adult sized, I was, some are still little little kids....it will even out

But clearly your lads going to be tall...but he could also well not grow more than a inch or two

to add some balance to this, mine is 5 foot nothing, maybe even 4’11 and a size 5-6 shoe. He does not loook out of place with his peers

My younger DS has just finished year 7, will be 13 in September and is 5’7 or so. He’s much taller than his big brother was at the same age; he was this height in year 9 if not the start of year 10. They all grow at different paces and not much point worrying!

He turned 13 in April; 5”9 & size 13 shoe size. He keeps growing and it’s expensive!

My DS was 5ft8 in year 7. He was one of the tallest in his year and looked a lot older than was. He hasn't grown since and is now 18. His dad is over 6ft so we were expecting him to grow more. It's similar to my growth, I was the tallest in my class in primary school but then ended up a very average 5ft5.

My ds was 5ft 8 and a size 13 men’s shoe at 13.

He is now 23 and is 6ft 2 and thankfully still a size 13.

the range of heights in 13 year olds is massive. Ds has the same friendship group now as he did at 13 and some of them have hardly grown, others loads. My brother was 6ft at 13 and stopped at 6ft 6. His friends were all smaller than him but it wasn’t an issue.
