To think Taylor Swift is a big meanie for not releasing just 1 photo of her in her wedding dress?

Before anyone says "maybe she just wants to keep her entire wedding - including dress - private"...

  1. She's made her whole career about her personal life

  2. Her fans are often young girls who idolise her. (I have 2 nieces age 10 and 12 who are really disappointed they have seen nothing).

  3. Said fans have made her a billionaire and essentially therefore paid for the huge wedding!

  4. It's been over 2 weeks since said wedding so plenty of time for her to have relaxed afterwards and then selected a single sodding photo to release

  5. It's not like she needs to sell the photos for money

I think it's quite mean of her tbh. It would be less bad if she TOLD these young fans either "you will see the dress in my forthcoming documentary" or "I've decided to keep it private". At lease then they would know.

I guess she will wait until she needs another publicity boost/marketing or to hide something else. She might even wait until the 1st anniversairy- our Taylor is always business first.

She markets herself as the relatable everygirl, encourages fans to treat her life like an ongoing group chat and positions herself as someone little girls should adore, decode, and emotionally invest in. Then the second those same fans expect one wedding photo, suddenly everyone starts clutching pearls about parasocial entitlement and blaming the parents. Like, this is exactly what she wants. You do not spend twenty years monetizing intimacy, rewarding obsessive attention, planting clues, and turning your private life into communal lore only to act baffled when the audience feels personally invested. She built that machine brick by brick. Pretending the fans invented the relationship entirely on their own is absurd.

Well she's set up fans for expectation and disappointment by releasing photos of the proposal and then after the wedding just...nothing. That's not fair imho on your average young girl. Life is full of enough disappointments without learning at age 10 that your idol dgaf about you!

So your nieces arent being parented to understand that just because someone lets you have a photo of one moment, they dont owe you another? Wow, that'll set them up well in life...

I know it's her life and all that, but I agree @GallopingConsumption she needs to hurry up, she got married 2 weeks ago now!

I don't think it will be much longer though.

I am very impressed though, that out of 1000 guests, every one of them has managed to keep any pics they took under wraps.

I genuinely don’t think it will. She announced the engagement, publicized the entire fucking MSG debacle, and has spent years turning her private life into a carefully scheduled marketing campaign, but now everyone is apparently supposed to pretend the wedding is sacred classified information because Princess Taylor has decided nobody may know anything.

Photography isn't just a point and shoot job I'm afraid.

The photographer will take photos and then has the after-event job of processing them before presenting them to the client.

This processing can take a considerable amount of time.
Of course, a few select prior peek look book images can be given as first glance - but ultimately at the end of the day its T&Ts perogative as to if and when they release that first image to the press & public.
Bottom line @GallopingConsumption - we will all have to wait, we are low on the list of their priorities ...

Lol, what? Have you ever actually been married or dealt with a wedding photographer? Most brides receive teaser images within days, sometimes even the same day. Photography is not “point and shoot,” obviously, but nobody suggested the full gallery should already be finished. Producing one polished preview photo does not require the photographer to disappear into a candlelit editing crypt for six weeks.

I think we'll get a photo eventually. I'm sure a Dior spokesperson suggested so.

But if T&T want to keep it all private then fair play to them. It was their big day and choosing private MSG seems to have paid off beautifully.

Anyway, I'm not comparing the weddings and whether they were broadcast or not (relevance?) Just how much editing was done/how long it took on on the wedding photo portraits.

I mentioned the fact it was broadcast because that meant everyone had already seen all the outfits - it was a live public event, not a private event. So pictures from it straight away made sense. They’d probably prefer the official pictures used in reporting, rather than screenshots of the ceremony, or paparazzi outside the cathedral.

Taylor Swift may well want to have a bit more time before half the internet starts slagging off how she looked.

Like if you do someone a big favour, you're not OWED a card and flowers (or whatever) but it would be a POLITE THING TO DO. And although the driver legally has to let you across the pedestrian crossing, it's decent to acknowledge that.

Have you taken a step back and LOOKED at yourself? You are a grown adult grumping because someone wishes to keep something private for longer than a fortnight, it’s actually really sad that it bothers you so much.
