I honestly thank the PP to sent a link to the judgement. Okay this woman is now a citizen and okay she needs to bring her elderly parents over and they can easily stay in her house. Okay I get this.

But the 16 other relatives who need to come here and get social housing and get living cost help. Don't we have our own homeless and poor?

Maybe this will explain why the Gulf States won't take refugees,

It seems that the Arabs don't like the Palestinians 😮

They don’t have a liberal western bias, so they can see without blinds what happens when countries took on Palestinian refugees, they import their violent bickering and destabilise your country, they ruined Lebanon and Jordan, the Egyptians are tired of their sh*t, the Gulf states don’t want to deal with them etc.

@ChunkyMonkey36 I don’t think we need to go very far to work out why you wouldn’t go to Iran, Iraq, Syria etc if you were fleeing your own country due to war.

What about the other countries I mentioned ?

Jordan has no war on nor has Egypt

UAE is loaded, and also the other Gulf States so why don't they help?

No wars there.🙄

You realise you’ve tagged me in a post saying Arabic speaking countries do take a higher number…. right?

Where are the facts that say how many refugees the Gulf States took during the conflict in Gaza.?

Pertinent information, you would think.

Thanks but I don't rely on stats from an organisation which harboured Hamas operatives. That's also an inaccurate picture given it is 11 years old.

The number of UNRWA registered Palestine refugees by country or territory in January 2015 were as follows:

Jordan 2,117,361
Gaza Strip 1,276,929
West Bank 774,167
Syria 528,616
Lebanon 452,669
Total 5,149,742

It's not "racist" to suggest that people who are refugees are supported by a culture whose culture aligns with theirs.
All those countries have a common language in Arabic, for a start.

Exactly. Like coming to the UK must feel and be a massive shock and change to them.

You asked about Arabic nations. I gave evidence of Arabic nations. Still not good enough?

sunshinesuzey · 18/07/2026 10:08

ChristmasStars · 18/07/2026 10:01

The number of refugees taken in by surrounding Arabic speaking countries is far higher than the number taken in by anywhere in Europe.

This is what I feel as well. And especially the gulf nations. Funnily enough many of these nations don't have refugee and asylum laws...... I wonder why.

There are several Muslim countries in the area (Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon) that could take them, so ask yourself why they don't help out their Muslim brothers & sisters?

They don't need to come to UK.

I suppose we should be grateful for the ECHR for one thing. It's afforded antisemites no protection in their hate speech.
