Kier and Kemi showed the best of British politics today

I do miss the days that every political interaction was like that. We’ve become so nasty in politics these days, it’s nice to see some mutual respect again.

I agree @thefireinyourheart - it was good to see. A fine example of how decent politicians should behave. That orange w~nk-goblin currently polluting the White House could learn much from it.

It made me realise a lot of the horrible words they say to each other at PMQs is just theatre - I thought they really did hate each other!

I liked to see the more humorous, human side to Starmer, Badenoch and others.

Being Prime Minister is a shit job but worth it for the annual wage once they’ve left. That’s about the only good thing about it. They all get vilified by the press no matter what. It’s a thankless task

i dont thnk any of them do it for the £, they already have billionair friends etc, its at a guess more about power, influence, control etc especially on the world stage influencing events shaping global politics, being more in the know about different projects than the average joe public and so on

personally id like her as pm and give it a crack, yes they are all in one way or another restricted by deals , alliances, the bigger picture etc but overall would be intresting

Yes it came across very warm. I don’t understand the hate for Starmer. I hope it’s a great relief for him to step down. Kemi came across really well and yes we saw her more as a person than a politician which is good

This is the Kemi I remember from the Conservative leadership debate. Somewhere along the way she turned quite nasty, unnecessarily so.

Her and Andy have a really good chance to reset here and try and win back voters for both sides by showing the advantages of politics of yore and how both parties can work effectively together rather than just exchanging social media soundbite insults.

They need to show that there's an alternative to third party solutions because voters are fed up of the tit for tat and the mudslinging with no tangible action.

I am raging at Labour for skewering KS. I'm a Labour member and I think there have been mistakes but there was time to get back on track.
By the way I accidentally pressed YABU when I meant to say YANBU. Sorry but factor that into the vote.

I had a lump in my throat when he talked about how Kemi had reached out to him personally. The human side we don’t always see. I felt sorry for RR too. it must have been a hard day.

I agree op. It was really nice to see and actually civilised for once. I hate the divisive left/right nasty politics of today..Trump started it and certain people are pushing that agenda in this country too

I do. She was shite and didn’t know what she was doing. She is to blame for job reductions by employers. Not all of them are sleeping on mattresses stuffed full of money.

I didn't like Ed Davey comments about Reform. Could've been phrase better. Seems like part of the kind of politics of hate that's going on at the moment. And today was really really terrible day for that.

I do respect KS. I thought he had some credibility on the international stage. I feel he could have done a better job with a more competent team.
