To be upset my dd is dating a middle aged man

She dating a 30 year old he’s 30 late July and she’s 22 23 one Tuesday. He’s middle aged and she’s still so young

I was 23 and my husband was 31 when we met. I turned 24 before he turned 32 if that helps. We got married within 2 years of meeting and have recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary. Our daughter is 20 and a) we wouldn’t think twice about her dating someone 8 years older and b) we don’t police her dating life even if we did have an opinion. She’s an adult and we trust her to pick someone she likes.

I was 24 when I met DH, he was 30. That was 15 years ago 😂 I don’t think it’s a massive age gap. I was working in a professional role and living independently etc.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with 22 and 29 or 23 and 30.

They are both way over the legal age of consent. They are both adults.

29 is not middle age under anyone's defintion unless you're not planning on making it to 60!
Get a grip.

I thought you were going to say she's early 20s and he's well into his 40s or 50s.

This is a non-issue. Seven year gap between my DH and I. We met when I was in my 20s and him 30s. Couldn't imagine a better pairing. We're on the same page and have a great family life.

Let her get on with it and don't interfere.

At her age my bf was 28. At 30 I married my first husband. He was 53. His age had nothing to do with the end of our marriage, his overnight switch to a possessive abusive narcissist did.

Of 29 is middle aged I must be fucking ancient At 46.

Does he look after her
Are they good to each other
Because if u answer yes leave them be !
She could be with a guy same age that gaslights her makes her feel insecure could make her sad think about it differently!!!

That's the ages my parents were when they met and got married! My mum was 23 and my dad was 30. They were married for nearly 36 years until my dad passed away 11 years ago (would've been married 47 years this year).

Unless there's something you're not telling us (i.e. she's younger/innocent for her age or he's not treating her well/has a history of abuse), yes, you are being unreasonable.
