AIBU to let my children use all inclusive on a group holiday?

Life is about the choices we make. Your brother in law has chosen to book the cheaper holiday. He had the option to book the more expensive AI, but he made the conscious decision to book the cheaper one,
you didn’t force him. I wonder whether his plan all along was to try and share the AI bands? If so, he should bugger off, what a cheapskate.

I seriously cannot believe that someone self catering had the absolute front to tell you your children cannot use the AI, and you would have to pay for their drinks, snacks etc, because they have to pay for their kids and its unfair. OMG, I am lost for words. I don't think I have ever heard of such an unreasonable and ridiculously stupid demand. Tell them to do one and say, maybe they now realise why you went AI and not self catering. And, that your children will be enjoying all the free snacks and drinks they want. How dare they even suggest such a thing.

Still , seems a lot . I would have expected hotels would like people to upgrade seeing as they are there anyway .

This is why you shouldn’t ever go on holiday with anyone that you don’t live with normally - even the ones you think are normal turn out to be quite mad when your stuck with ‘em 24/7!

No, hotels that do a mix of SC and AI are VERY hot on watching for people doing this and you can be kicked out - it is stealing.

Oh I'd tell him 'you'll have to explain to your kids that they can't have all the AI stuff as their Dad is a miserable tight-arse'. And then carry on as you were, enjoying the benefits of AI that you've paid for!

We have sometimes made friends with people who’ve gone all-inclusive when we’re self-catering - when they’ve gone to the bar they’ve just offered to get us a drink too. It’s no skin off their nose.
After I had bern given a ridiculous demand by BIL and they were too tight to go AI, I honestly think its on them to sirt their own kids out rather than op bailing them.

What's not fair is you even thinking about, never mind considering, depriving your own kids of their already paid for treats..it's their holiday too!...all because some skin flints want them to suffer and make them and you feel bad!
