What's something that men think is impressive, but really isn't?

Beep beep, come on traffic

Speaking of traffic, mine is when men (or boys, rather) rev their bloody engines on their cars that sound like they're about to explode. No, please, don't speed off, open the boot to your clapped out Corsa, I want to get in.

Also since going back to the gym, forgot how awful the men are there for showing off. There's this one in particular at my gym and idk if he's just mentally deranged or what but anytime he does any exercise he roars like a buffoon and I feel my vagina drying up a little more each time. It is so unnecessary. He will be easing his way through bicep curls, pretty much screaming and grunting for each one. Also has a horrifically embarassing habit of punching his chest, twice, every so often.

Give me your opinions and stories; what is something that men do that they think is impressive, but really, really isn't...

Mannn nothing turns me off faster than a man in lycra. It's always fluorescent yellow. It's always awful.

(I know it's for visibility, it's still awful)

I'm sorry I have to add, I have just googled what those yellow shorts are and was met with the stuff of nightmares. Please tell me this image is not what they're actually wearing. Please tell me this is not real? It has to be a joke. I feel nauseous, I'm horrified. Considering phoning the police. Whoever made this article of clothing needs to be arrested

It's not related to male or female, anyone showing off with noise or attention seeking behaviour is boring.

Find the thread about the performance parents, usually the mums. No one gives a shit either, but they think they are impressive!

Their driving skills are always them speeding or sharp fast turns. Like yes, I'm so impressed that you almost killed me to show off. My place or yours. 😐

My ex would not shut up talking for fucking hours about the same 3 boring topics. I felt like screaming and actually started screaming one time to get him to shut up. He responded with "sorry, Im almost finished..." then proceeded to talk for a further 30+ minutes about it until I was literally walking out of the door to leave for work. Hence the 'ex' 🫠

I’ve been impressed by few cocks tbh.

Cars, in general. Car designers and engineers are impressive. Buying one and driving it are not in themselves impressive activities.

Men’s watches. I never notice them. They seem to cost a lot. But I presume those who buy them like them.

A nice man at work is always trying to be impressive with knowledge re things I already know and I do actually find it cute, like he's a little boy wanting applause, but also it's getting exhausting having to think up ways to respond that aren't a lie but also aren't snapping "I already knew that obviously" because he is nice at the end of the day.

Ehk this would grind on me like madddd. He sounds like he wants to be your son. "Mummy, look what I learned at school today!"

I'm the same though if someone is nice to me I can't be mean whatsoever no matter how annoying they are hahah

Hahaha god I swear anything they do is so obnoxious, but in sports it's just ridiculous. Like they're tryna cause a tsunami with each stroke. That'll impress the ladies, if they haven't drowned

The only TV I ever noticed was significantly clearer than any other I've seen was a random one in John Lewis years ago. It was so strange, like looking into the future, very clear, colourful, crisp and bright. The rest just look the same to me

Absolutely! So much splashing because I’m such a good swimmer and so powerful…! Just a complete waste of energy and poor technique. My Dd glides through the water and just keeps on going!
