I am not sure whether to treat this as a drunken comment or something a bit more sinister. Early hours of this morning with my boyfriend, waiting for a taxi after a night out. He suggested getting a kebab - I said I was never keen on these as I was worried what was in the meat. He said that never concerned him as he ‘used to eat the arses of women he’d just met on nights out’ so he wasn’t screamish about kebabs. I told him I found the comment disgusting and he did apologise and said it was many years ago.

I find it immature at best. He’s early 30’s now!

I know men have always talked like this, but did they used to talk like it to women they planned ro romance and seduce?

We've had a load of them over on a thread where some dickhead made a revolting comment about a "whiffy growler" when his date mentioned freshening up; basically making themselves even bigger turn offs by trying to whine, lecture and moralise us into accepting this and even find it funny on their orders. I can't really believe they could be this stupid over how humour and romance work - surely nobody has this little instinct - so I'm wondering if it's actually some manosphere-led conspiracy to bring about the end of the species.

This really happened didn’t it. At least make up something that isn’t currently viral on social media

Maybe it’s gone vital and he was jumping on the moment to use it himself!

Vile thing to say. Would he like it if you said “I sucked the cock of loads of strange men” when debating the merits of a sausage roll? Is he always such a tool?

😂

Many would call it humour.

The prudeness on MN never fails to shock me. Its a very normal sexual act.

Most people aren’t bothered about the act itself, it’s the way it was said. It’s not prudish to not want an Inbetweener as a partner. Sex is so much better with a real grown up.

Some people, often men, mistake speaking like this as being sexually uninhibited and think it makes them sound experienced. In reality they just sound like inexperienced teen boys trying to impress, and they’re also usually shite in bed.

I find calling women prudish is usually done by men on the sex board whilst trying to push their boundaries, so interesting you would use that term.

Sure, kebab meat is currently in the news. But having never been keen on kebabs due to not being worried about the content of kebab meat doesn’t strike you as even potentially disparaging to „another culture’s food“?

Are the kebabs getting made and served in the UK? Are the people who are serving the kebabs generally British (regardless of colour or possibly birth place)? Do the kebabs from our dodgy take away places, remotely resemble the kebabs in Turkey etc? Has there just been a massive fine imposed on Kismet Kebabs? So no, not disparaging to another culture's food. Just like not wanting a £1 lasagne from Iceland isn't insulting Italy.

Sounds familiar

Yeah I know everyone has a past I just found that such a horrible term and unnecessary to bring up after a night out.

Many would call it humour.

Edenmum2 · 05/07/2026 18:57

I’m not sure I could think of anything else when kissing him after that

I read a Tweet with precisely those words, yesterday.
Is he just repeating that to sound ‘cool’?

Most likely, yes.. as for all those people going on about STDs: all sexual intercourse (including all forms of oral) comes with certain risks, especially if that’s unprotected intercourse.

I would hope that OP and her boyfriend both got tested (and or practice safe sex), so that really shouldn’t be a reason to clutch our collective pearls…🤷‍♀️

ElenOfTheWays · 05/07/2026 18:41

So it appears he was actually just repeating a meme that he thought was funny rather than telling you something about himself
He probably even expected you to get the reference if he's seen it a few times online.

This would change my reaction to it a bit as I'd assume he didn't mean it. More like when someone makes a pop culture reference.
It's a bit disgusting and it's not really funny but that might have been the point. He was making fun of it.

People are so stupid. This is so obviously not about this guy’s past-it’s about the crass way he expressed it. And, incidentally, the way he talked about another culture’s food. Which is borderline racist. He should apply to be a Reform MP.

NoSausage · 05/07/2026 18:30

I think its more that he doesn't sound like he has any respect - for what he ingests, sex itself, the women he's slept with and how he talks about them, his language to you and general cavalier manner. It's all just a bit pathetic, but more so for a man of that age. He could just do better, y'know?

JHound · 05/07/2026 18:28

Ew!

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 05/07/2026 18:26

BauhausOfEliott · 05/07/2026 18:16

I’d have laughed at that.

Yes, it’s extremely crass. It’s also the sort of thing I can slightly imagine wanting to say to someone if they were being a bit prissy and fussy at me for wanting a kebab. That sort of thing brings out the worst in me and makes me want to say something terrible in response.

Anyway - crass, yes. Sinister, no.

AnonSugar · 05/07/2026 18:05

That wording is awful 🤢

MyPantsAreFartCentral · 05/07/2026 17:54

So your boyfriend admitting to rimming complete strangers?
🤮🤮🤮

BagaChips · 05/07/2026 17:52

Yet another ‘man said something disgusting’ thread. They’re almost daily now

youalright · 05/07/2026 17:49

Yeah gross but a one off drunken comment I'd let it go but if he talks like this regularly then it would really put me off

EwwStew · 05/07/2026 17:47

A man that spoke like that about his past 'conquests' wouldn't be allowed within a six foot radius of me.

Everyone has a past, but someone who slept around so casually (some would say skank like if he was eating strangers arses out in back alleys) would not be compatible with me.

Limpopdotoy · 05/07/2026 17:45

What a charmer.

That said, if it was an uncharacteristic one off remark made whilst drunk, I’d let it pass.

If it’s the act described that’s the problem, then as long as it was between consenting adults, I don’t see the problem.

VerifiedAccount · 05/07/2026 17:45

I'd think yuk and would tell him that. However, he was drunk and took your feedback on board and apologised. Assuming he really was sorry and it's a drunken one off I'd let it go.
