I’m 68 and went to see the Cure in another city by myself when my sister was ill at the last minute . I’ve never done it before boy I had a brilliant time

Well done! I went to see Daryl Hall on my own as I really wanted to see him. I'm glad I went although sadly his voice isn't that good anymore.

Fantastic. I do it regularly, especially midweek gigs and theatre. I love going with friends but so much easier sometimes to go myself.

I really want to do more of this I am recently divorced at 52 and getting better at doing things by myself. I LOVE music and live gigs and I am going to keep going until I drop! Well done you, and I too am very jealous you got to see the Cure this time round, they still sound amazing

Ah amazing! I almost prefer going to gigs alone actually. i can sing along (badly 😂) without feeling self conscious about my friends seeing me. i went to see Biffy Clyro for the first time as a wheelchair user alone recently and i had an amazing time.

You are def not being unreasonable! Hope it was good, The Cure are brilliant. I need to take this as inspiration to do things alone and not wait/miss out if others aren't interested.

Oh wow. Lucky you. Robert’s voice is still as good as it ever was. Absolute legend .

Oh I’d have come with you. I’m 67. Love the Cure. It’s our era isn’t it?

Thats great! I often think there should be an app to find last minute companions for things like that but then maybe there already is
