He’s been watching football down the road, is absolutely bladdered and has fallen into bed and sharted right next to me.

Luckily still clothed but I’ve sent him downstairs. What is wrong with these men? I am dreading the rest of the tournament, it’s a bloody Wednesday night and he has work tomorrow!

I’m not anti England (or football). I was cheering them on last night (as was DH). But no drunken shits in bed or violence in this house. But others are not so fortunate.

Since when was this thread about violence??

“Best Armani boxers” eewwww I always binned my DCs’ pants when they had a big accident (lumps of poo, not just skid marks) during potty training.

I can’t believe a grown man wants to wash and then reuse pants that were full of his excrement!!

Was checking in for an update to see if you’d burnt the bed, bedding and his clothing and has packed his bags
wasn’t thinking you’d done an uber delivery for vanish!

why do people have such low standards @Walesss7

Clarefromwork · 18/06/2026 13:34

This must give you the biggest ick

Walesss7 · 18/06/2026 13:18

He is feeling very sorry for himself this morning. I think he’s most embarrassed that it was me who had to check after he refused when led next to me. He’s managed to salvage his boxers at least 🙄

I think most people have overindulged on occasion. If it’s every match, I’d be really pissed off!! I don’t care if DH gets tipsy, but not to the extent he can’t function properly the next day.

Shitting himself though??! That would be major ick forevermore. He’s revolting OP!! 🤢

Don't be silly.
The arsenic levels in cider are lower than in rice.
Stop making stuff up.
Apple pips contain arsenic to be sure, but then so do fifty million other ingestibles, in trace amounts.
If cider gets you dangerously pissed it's because it is alcoholic and easy to drink fast as it is intrinsically more palatable than beer, being sweeter.

It's sugary and acidic & alongside the alcohol wreaks havoc with your bowels.
I had an ex who drank a lot of cider.
It gave him chronic heartburn & explosive bowels every morning.

Sadly, it happens in other countries too, sorry to question your anti-England rhetoric!

Yes men are the problem.

But statistically it is seen more in white, British men living in the UK than in any other demographic or country.

However, this may be due to other countries not reporting it as much etc

It’s not anti-English to repeat statistics.
I am English myself.

chocoluv · 18/06/2026 11:51

So many MNers have partners who shit the bed!
I’ve heard of it in RL.

This wouldn’t be LTB territory as although I’ve never shit myself, I have vomited from drinking too much.

I am quite sensible when it comes to drinking but a couple of times I’ve been absolutely fine 1 minute and then suddenly get really poorly.

If this isn’t normal behaviour then his behaviour afterwards would be much more important to me - is he very apologetic, brought new bedding and changed it himself etc

Walesss7 · 17/06/2026 23:57

He didn’t go out until 8pm. Said he was drinking cider and had 6 pints and it must have been dodgy. Serious ick right now. I’ve told him he’s doing his washing.

Cider can be notoriously drunk making, it seems quite light and drinkable but is often really strong and when it hits it's evil, and can make you feel really ill as well. Tell him to stick to light beers next time.

Cloudysky81 · 18/06/2026 11:38

suki1964 · 18/06/2026 00:32

Cider is a killer, its much more potent then beer/lager and when it gets hold of you, causes arsenic poisoning, which shows itself as a kind of Alzheimers, its the apple seeds

Which is why its the street drinkers drink of choice - gets them totally bladdered for very little money , and why they become so abusive whilst under the influence

Dont get me wrong, I used to love the stuff. Still do but it has to be a very very hot day for me to have one, and it is only the one - maybe two max

This is all complete nonsense

ERthree · 18/06/2026 11:34

I mean, how on earth will you ever manage to sleep with him again OP?

DeedlessIndeed · 18/06/2026 11:29

Walesss7 · 18/06/2026 00:17

I said that. He won’t bin them until he tries to wash them as they are his best armani boxers he paid a lot of money for.

Also, (sorry to quote you twice).

These armani boxers that are so precious to him. Everytime he wears them for date night or a special occassion, you are going to remember that he shat himself in them... that is really going to get everyone in the mood.

Gosh, he is a realy Mr Darcy, isn't he?

Seriously OP - yuk. As a one off I could look the other way (whilst being absolutely grossed out). But if this happened regularly then I would be gone.

howwww did you not stop at any point whilst typing this out and think, no, there has to be more to life than typing these words out to a bunch of strangers on an internet forum about another stranger's husband's bowel movement (and not even getting paid for it)

Edited

I have to admit I found that line of questioning very weird 😂

Providing he washed his own shitty pants, I could move on from this pretty quickly.

Bloody disgusting. I’d leave him.

So do many of the men in my family, it's a one off so nobody cares our end lol...there enjoying themselves

Many of the men in your family shit themselves after drinking? And you think it's funny and okay because they're enjoying themselves? It's really not. It's disgusting and totally vile.
My husband had a few drinks last night watching the football but was able to control his bowels. Even when he's got absolutely pissed (which doesn't really happen anymore) he has never been so bad he's shit himself.
Actually I don't think I could get past that. Totally different if he was ill but he wasn't he was just pissed.

Bloody hell. The bar (and not the one where you get booze) is on the floor here. 😖

Snippit · 18/06/2026 11:08

When my husband was young and lived at home he’d kind of sleep walk when he’d had too much to drink. He once stood at the top of the stairs and peed, his dads hat was on the stairs and it was saturated 🤦‍♀️. Thankfully he’s never done this since we’ve been married.

Oioiqueen · 18/06/2026 11:07

I mean cider gives me an upset stomach so now I don't drink it. However I'd know not to go getting hammered on something I know that I don't drink often or had the potential to not agree with me. I wouldn't be divorcing him over it but I'd be having very strong words because quite frankly that's disgusting. It's the kind of behaviour that's bad enough when a pre schooler does it but a fully grown adult. Nope.

BillieWiper · 18/06/2026 11:07

That's grim. I can't say I've ever known anyone to crap themselves due to excess alcohol. And I've known some right pish heads.

Has he got some kind of gastro problems? IBS? No matter how drunk I'm pretty sure that's not normal. He may need to see the GP.

I hope he didn't mess anything other than his own drawers? And he'd better be apologising profusely today!

I lost interest in the game last night when there was a really dodgy penalty taken twice right at the beginning. There were loud people shouting up the road til about midnight while I was trying to sleep. Fuck football! 🤣

oh interesting, I thought it was less alcoholic! I only drink wine so it's a mystery to me 😆

I still have memories of camping in Cornwall about 50 years ago, we went to the local pub and I drank cider, I was fine until we walked outside and the cool air hit me, I was prevented from falling over by OH! I slept almost the whole of the next day.
During a trip to the States we went into a reenactment village in New England and watched 'cider' being made, at the end the person making it had obviously heard OH and I speaking and she asked us tell tell the school group there about our understanding of 'cider'. They were very surprised to hear it isn't simply warm apple juice.
