How do you feel about the fact that your support is being whipped up by Russia, in concerted attacks, for the specific purpose of sowing division and political instability in Britain? Is this giving you any pause for thought? Do you think you will go back to supporting traditional parties?

Do you think the party you support has a strong platform to defend the country against clear and present danger from very powerful nations which are taking active measures to harm us? Or put another way, are you prepared to entertain the very real possibility that the party you support is propped up by foreign influence and money that are actually using you as pawns in a political game that will destroy all of us, including yourself?

A composite image with a picture of Sir Keir Starmer on the left and on the right, a still from a video showing a car on fire, which was one of the arson attacks on property linked to him. Behind the image of Sir Keir is a Russian flag.

Russia was behind arson attacks targeting PM, BBC reveals

Evidence shows Russians directing the plot and stoking tensions with fake far-right and Muslim groups.

So, Zia Yusuf made an unfounded claim on Facebook and you are presenting this disinformation on MN firstly as "a report" and subsequently as a "statement of intent"?

Are you deliberately trying to spread disinformation or are you simply incapable of critically analysing and evaluating the nonsense that you see on social media?

Cornish has accused MN posters of "enforcing messages" put out by a "briefing unit".

Ironic, really.

Absolutely. Three of the most economically damaging policies of the last 50 years (right to buy, privatisation of our utilities, and Brexit) have all been Tory / right-wing policies.

FAR and away the most economically damaging policies of the last 50 years have been unsustainably high taxation (and often to pay for economically illiterate things like Net Zero).

Both parties were and are to blame for this.

I also have huge concerns about a government which won't spend on our own country's defense (armed forces) - but have miraculously found £4.5 billion from somewhere for......cycle paths!

Outrageous!

I'm sure they can find British Islamophobes to do their dirty work too

That's the whole point - they couldn't.

They had to recruit recent arrivals who literally didn't know what they were doing and pay them. The Ukrainian who set fire to Starmer's car was a rent boy who'd never heard of Keir Starmer.

Well in my 50 years of life we've had 36 of a RWP and its got us to where we are now, so I beg to differ.
Edited to add, the majority of countries with the best quality of life (Netherlands, and most of Scandinavian) have either had centrist or slightly left or slightly right coalitions). Extremes are never good for a long term economic or socially well functioning country.

Edited

Oh, swift change of tack there😁.

I haven't changed tack at all. I made a different point.

Yes, a report as in ‘he reported’. My grammar isn’t quite on point this morning as I am getting ready for work.

It is on his Facebook page. I am not prepared to link to Facebook on a forum like this.

If Burnham wins, it's more of the same of Starmer. I'm used to the rot after two years. Shame the economy will suffer even more for it though.

But, if the story is true, the Russians need poor foreigners here to give money to in exchange for posting anti Islam messages on Mosques

LuckyHazelFox · 16/06/2026 08:38

TemperanceWest · 16/06/2026 08:29

Well, whatever you believe did or didn't happen in G&D, even if family voting happens in Makerfield, it won't sway the vote. So one less excuse for Farage to fall back on if Reform loses.

Do you mean this? It all seems a storm in a tea cup as SERCO has clarified the claims are untrue.

So it's not a report, it's a statement from a Reform politician?

Could you link to whatever it is?

There was no evidence of criminal activity at G&D but that still doesn't refute the observations of polling staff.

Oh yes, I’d forgotten about the Prince of Darkness using his position to influence our Parliament for foreign gain, whereas pp seems to think that we are all being manipulated by shadowy Russian influences.

Maybe it doesn’t occur to PPs that we have the ability to look at stuff happening in our country from a vast range of sources and make up our own minds?

No it's far more smug to be condescending.

CornishDaughteroftheDawn · 16/06/2026 08:25

TemperanceWest · 16/06/2026 08:16

Well they usually are. If this is a reference to the false accusations of Muslim people "family voting" in G&D, Reform won't have that excuse to fall back on if it loses Makerfield.

why do you think the independent elections monitor is lying?

As the police force and councils in the area may well have had an interest in generating the results achieved, why do you assume they are not lying? Studies have shown that the risk of electoral fraud is far higher in areas where there is a higher population from countries where electoral fraud is common.

That’s the problem, all sources have their own agendas and are funded by someone. I think people will pick something that aligns with their political beliefs, for instance a Reform voter would probably watch GB News. The good thing is that people are starting to realise that the news can’t be trusted anymore because they all sway to one party.

Starmer himself was quick to reinforce that message. He also enforced it to try and shut Nigel Farage down over the Henry Nowak murder - albeit not immigration related. It's a ploy that was used in the Lee Rigby murder. Easy to hush the public's condemnation if you can tug at the old heart strings. I also have to laugh at this panic about Russian interference when our own PM appointed a man who was happy to sell our security secrets. Talk about an own goal.
