Interesting to see Teddy Williams, who is a similar age, on stage with Robbie. She looked relaxed and was dressed casually. Ayda and Robbie have largely kept their children out of the public eye, Teddy was first seen I think at Eugenie’s wedding

David is making serious wonga from the WC.

The boys plus girlfriends are on the payroll.

Harper doesn’t have the X factor but that won’t stop her going far, look at the likes of Molly May. I don’t understand such Influencers, I’m not the target audience, but it seems that utter mediocrity sells. Seems like a sweet kid, she’ll be everywhere this time next year.

Brooklyn was/is friends with Rocco Ritchie, Romeo's girlfriend hung about in that circle of friends too and supposedly dated Brooklyn, then Rocco, and now Romeo

No wonder Brooklyn had enough, imagine your ex dating your best friend and then your brother. Most people can forget their exes.

Personally I think the budding dj wants to further her career and dating a Beckham will keep her in the press.

DB did an amazing deal when he signed for LA Galaxy and his own franchise was part of it. He has done very well and I’m not sure he needs the family to help him with that? Lean in to the footballer schtick rather than the family man schtick

You can understand them bringing Harper along, she’s a minor. Why aren’t the others down the pub with mates instead of hanging on Daddy’s coattails?

I wish Victoria would stop dressing Harper in her fashion line as well. The poor girl has had to wear those cheap looking long satin dresses since she was about 10 and they look awful. Everything is just about making money for the brand. Even the jacket Harper wore at the football last night was from the range Romeo released prior to the World cup. Im absolutely sick of seeing David Beckham promoting everything but the kitchen sink during the world cup. Sick of seeing his face. Apparently hes made $25 million from endorsements this world cup, its staggering

I agree, it's really odd, almost cult like. I find the constant staged photos really creepy and weird that both girlfriends are like clones of Victoria. The sons are in their 20s and dont seem to exist socially outside of the family. Ive never seen photos of them out with a group of friends or on holiday with people their own age. Its very strange. Im happy for Brooklyn that he escaped it

They seem to control every aspect of their children’s lives. Partners, Friends (or lack of) career, finances, clothes, public appearances….. Even the rights to their own names.

I thought of this thread watching the football last night, it IS odd that those two young men in their 20s don’t appear to have lives outside their parents orbit.

I don’t really understand your point. All of these kids until 16 went to school private or state (not sure what the relevance is to pointing this out).

At this stage, academy kids don’t go to college or continue with a levels. They effectively do an apprenticeship and do the equivalent of three a levels - in fact one of the boys currently at the cat 1 academy my son is at is doing an economics degree at LSE. My son is doing two additional a levels funded by the club. The ckub have agreed to fund his uni if he continues at the club.

So yeah they are educated. They can go on academically. Academics are considered important. And private had nothing to do with it.

I have been to both and private wasn’t better and isn’t relevant to being educated while at an academy.

That’s not ‘doing education’. That’s sending someone to school.

When my dc were at school they knew that we valued what was happening there and supported it. We knew what they were learning about, who their friends and teachers were, what sort of marks they were getting.

I went to private school and there were plenty of parents who went their dc to school with a chauffeur and had the attitude that they paid for their education and that’s where their duties ended. Then there were parents who were saying how it was great that they got eight out of ten on their spellings because they had only ever got seven or would take their dc to the Roman Wall when they were learning about it.

Kids at academies until they are 18 have to do education- u16 have to do GCSE’s and the clib het a term report to ensure that football isn’t affecting achool as per premier league rules . After that if you get a scholar you do an apprenticeship and still have to do BTEC- so yeah they still do education.

It is just the typical 'blaming the spouse' thing.

Just like with Harry and Megan. Now Megan is a bad egg, but Harry very clearly has his own issues following his upbringing. Estrangement is only the top of the iceberg.

I was reading this thread last night when the education part came up

I'm dyslexic and have a narcissist mother/enabling father (she's ruined every relationship I've ever had with men,bar dp by meddling and shitstirring)

My mother thought education was a waste of time and somewhere to dump us through the day

She wouldn't have dreamed of backing up the teachers if we misbehaved (well,she'd have come down on me like a ton of bricks as the scapegoat but her precious golden child boys could do no wrong)

My father valued education and tried to teach us himself but was batted down from all angles by her

I left school with no gcses and just thought I was thick

Grew up,had dc and decided I wanted to learn a trade and went back to collage

She went mental (I was in my 30's by this point) and suddenly found i wasn't thick-i started passing exams so she started telling lies like I only passed because I was handing bjs out to the tutors and cheating

I passed the course,which set her off on another narc rant

I was nc by this point so she cut me off from everyone I loved and turned them against me

She uses guilt,money,blackmail and fear of being the next scapegoat to control the rest of them-they are so caught up in the web shes span,they can't break free and she unleashes the flying monkeys on a regular basis (only a few weeks ago,my brother was full of 'i miss you!' we both know he doesn't,he just wants to report back to headquarters)

The other sons girlfriends will be 'safe' unless they move a toenail out of line and then they'll be out-they look like V which sounds weird but all 3 of my brothers have married women who look/behave like my mother

This seems to be what's happening here-thankfully brooklyn has untangled himself but it's a painful experience

You lose everyone dear to you and if you dare to make bonds with anyone else,they ruin that too until you meet someone who doesn't put up with their crap (in his case it's nicola and mine is dp and his family)

I feel for harper-she will be missing her brother dearly,cannot understand what is happening within her own family,uneducated and cannot break free

I hope she manages it one day-the boys are in too deep and will toe the line

Harper is 14 - my dd is a little older and started with make up a year or so ago but has commented on young girls raiding Sephora and doesn’t shop there anymore. The targeting of such young girls is deeply disturbing and I think 13/14 is the time it should naturally start (I remember in the 80s my sister and her friends with the ‘bold’ looks🤣) but the number of products they try and push on the kids these days is crazy

I agree that they’ve missed the boat here - they are trying to convince people they don’t exploit their children by exploiting other people’s children 🤔

The damage of Cosmeticorexia is now becoming well known and with the SM bans for children coming into place thankfully this vile market is going to be seriously impacted. I’d suggest Harper’s “business” is dead before it has even started. Not a nice look for the Beckham brand- fleecing and damaging young children.
