That’s my Friday rant.
Far right men thinking they’re sorting everything out with their riots to protect the women. Maybe women should riot about just men.

also I know it’s not all men, but it is men.

Well I’m all over this website saying I think welfare should be cut so…

So what? You were out rioting when it happened then were you?

Fillies4DeclanRice · 12/06/2026 19:12

They're immigrants and they're men.

It's both.

(Although there was a thread on here this week about a girl who was trying to behead Jews and Muslims, and last year another girl was jailed for planning a mass murder on school children in Edinburgh, and a girl was charged this week with attempted murder in a seriously violent case, and the Brianna Ghey main killer was female..)

Yes, and men have tried to help victims of these attacks too. Given that on a site called mumsnet, many of us have at least one son, and love them just as much as our daughters, we should stop blaming all of them for what a minority do. It's just as annoying as those who say all terrorists are black and brown-there are white people, and women, who are evil-the majority of all people are good. Having a go at young boys/men telling them they're all bad is hardly likely to make the world a better place-and remember you're effectively insulting all the mums who have at least one boy. Might as well say they're all heroes like Mc Kiernan.

This is pointless.
No acceptance that people are worried and afraid in their home towns.
We have a local FB page giving out warnings and descriptions…it’s hard to comprehend.
We can’t walk home from the train station after dark.
No one asked for any of this.

I hear you.

Stay safe.

As you can see from this thread, people care about VAWG until it’s a narrative they find uncomfortable.

Well let me see here, the fact that the government from police to justice don’t give a shit about VAWGs. That the laws prohibiting sexual assault and domestic violence aren't worth the paper they are written on.

There has been a massive push on VAWG in recent years. It’s an incredibly complex area with many reasons why conviction rates might not be as high as you would like. It isn’t as simple as ‘more money needed and nobody cares’.

SleeplessInWherever · 12/06/2026 22:03

I might riot against the government not convicting arsonist violent thugs quickly enough.

I’m busy tomorrow, but Monday maybe.

RedRosesParmaViolets · 12/06/2026 22:03

@HobGobblynne we live in an open and transparent society ,can you even begin to imagine what's happening in a closed society where women have no rights at all.

Walkyrie · 12/06/2026 22:02

SleeplessInWherever · 12/06/2026 22:00

VAWG generally is enabled by underfunding of support services and lack of police and legal procedures to properly convict.

Your turn.

Which service is underfunded?

LoremIpsumCici · 12/06/2026 22:01

What government policy would be rioted against?

Immigration from misogynistic countries is enabled by immigration policy.

If these men are not oppressing the women in Afghanistan, then who is? Or do you think they’re lying?

You’re saying asylum seekers in the UK are oppressing women in Afghanistan? Wow they must be living a double life and have a way to go back and forth when having an asylum application means you’re not allowed to travel outside the UK.

Walkyrie · 12/06/2026 21:58

LoremIpsumCici · 12/06/2026 21:57

Sure, celebrity then. Whatever word you prefer, people like him are not being rioted against.

Walkyrie · 12/06/2026 21:56

I wouldn’t call Russell Brand a film star.

You ignored that poster’s actual point, that there haven’t been any riots in response. (Obviously there shouldn’t be riots full stop, but the difference is telling.)

Men aren’t enabled by policy?

Have you heard of the patriarchy? It’s fairly old.

No one is calling on SM for hotels that film stars stay in to be burned down because Russell Brand has been arrested for multiple rapes. No one is setting cars on fire in Oxfordshire or Hollywood outside his home. Long haired white men aren’t being assaulted in the streets.

Edited

Let me explain my point from a different angle; imagine your child asks you why are adults always committing terrible crimes, why are your kind like this mummy? You might think, well you shouldn’t be sick of adults, there are good ones and bad ones. This is probably how the men feel when you make your misandrist statements.

And likely how law abiding asylum seekers and other immigrants feel when baying mobs are setting fire to their homes and cars

Sarah Everard? Me Too? Epstein and his accomplices? John Worboys, who has been the focus this last few weeks? Russell Brand? Are you sure?

It’s my real lived experience and I wish it wasn’t! Believe me.
Young girls flashed at is the least worst thing that’s been done. Would you accept that? Nope they view them as fair game from very young. 😢
locals are arranging patrols how did it come to this …

They won’t believe you.

They’ll say they ‘believe women’ on other things. But not this.
