Ckear support for proscribed terrorist groups must be treated very seriously

72 pro Palestine protesters arrested outside a court in London for showing support for proscribed terrorist organisations.

Doesn't help our society and doesn't help people thousands of miles away. Fed up with individuals showing support for terrorist groups. Peaceful protest but its crossing the line actually supporting proscribed groups. It further divides our already polarised society.

Sky News today.

@FSCEme that is literally what I say, an odd group to stand together. Like the Green party. I think the hilarity is odd, you know Jewish people have been killed recently in the UK?

They are an odd group aren't they?
Hard line Islamists, raging anti semites and attention seeking middle class 'hippies' who love the drama. Look at the smug self righteousness of them as they are carried off, it'd be hilarious if it wasn't for the raging antisemitism blighting our country at the moment.

Describing them as Islamists tells me all I need to know, lol. It gives off the vibe that you are the type that would’ve called the suffragettes and slavery protestors “terrorists” too.

”islamists” 🤣 when many of the arrested are non Muslim, white, privileged and nothing to do with Islam as a religion.

Palestine Action should never have been designated as a terrorist group.

I don't like PA and people could find other ways to support the Palestinan cause, but the proscription was ridiculously disproportionate and a mistake by the government.

Many disagree. They for the 3 basic acts required. The violence alone is really unnecessary.

Governments and international bodies strictly define "terrorist organizations" by:

  1. their engagement in violence - tick
  2. intent to cause harm - tick
  3. efforts to further ideological or political goals .....

Firstly in February 2026, the High Court ruled that the government's proscription of Palestone action as a terrorist organisation was "disproportionate and unlawful," as it doesn't really meet a lot of the guidelines for a prescribed terrorist group.

Every bad event in the world happens while people close their eyes and ignore it. It's fine that it's not an issue that you care about but people do feel strongly about it and for good reason.

The suffragettes were considered terrorists.

"Governments and international bodies strictly define "terrorist organizations" by their engagement in violence, intent to cause harm, and efforts to further ideological or political goals. Rather than guidelines for operating, these groups are defined by criminal codes and restricted by strict national and global laws."

If the cap fits!

There's a lot of legal opinion and a high court ruling that Palestine Action should not be classed as a terrorist organization. So it's not as simple as "don't support terrorist organizations." A lot of supporters were supporters before it was banned and don't consider themselves terrorists or sympathisers.

Promotion of hatred, criminal damage to 'further' their cause, chanting hatred in slogans, doesn't sound a great thing to do.

Indeed, raging antisemitism isn't something that appears to bother them.

Indeed, they are very self righteous in their following of a proscribed terrorist organisation. Is it so difficult to support Palestinians without supporting terrorist organisations?

Perhaps useful to find out why so many ordinary men and women are willing to face arrest for this and support these organisations?

Frankly I wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole but my friends 79 year old mum has been arrested, so has my 62 year old friend and another 58 year old.

Yes why do people happily bang the drum for terrorist organisations? Odd thing to do.

"A terrorism sentence carries restrictions that stay with a person for the rest of their life."

Easy to avoid - stop showing support for terrorist organisations. Simple.

Didn't realise in court were idiots who think smashing things up and assaulting a police officer with a sledgehammer is appropriate in order to 'free' Palestine 🙄
