OP, I think you need to go with your gut. You like these things. Put them up! Being "tasteful", "timeless", "elegant", "quite luxury", etc., all are in order to be seen in a particular kind of way or to live a particular kind of lifestyle. It's not the BEST lifestyle, it's just one option out of so, so many. Everyone needs to focus in on what they really like, and anyone who might be judgemental needs to keep it to themselves. It's boring.

We have one halfway up the stairs - we converted stairs number 5-9 to make it, and it's really difficult to get around the side; as well as a slightly cramped one inside the larder fridge.

I am not a big fan of mass-produced art anyway and particularly on bathroom walls. But my very much loved sister-in-law is a huge lover of having things like 'Eat' in the kitchen and 'Live Laugh Love' in the living room so I've learned to just not look. Their wall, their style, so you do you, OP. It shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks.
