John Lewis pushing this advert on my social media. Do they support oppression of women or is this a symbol of women’s right to choose .

That was a typo - it should have said that she converted to Islam about 18 months BEFORE not ago.

She started a relationship with a Muslim man about a year after she converted, who she subsequently married. He played no part in her decision to convert - she wasn’t in a relationship at the time and hadn’t even met her husband.

It’s not trendy at all. She hasn’t lived in London permanently for several years now - she currently lives in a small town in Germany, where she has experienced quite a bit of prejudice. However there are very few women who you can tell are obviously Muslim from their clothing in my area. Quite honestly I woukd rather my daughter dresses how she does now than her wearing the sort of clothing she wore ten years ago. My dream for her when she was a little girl was for her to be happy - she is now happier than I could ever have imagined and has grown into a lovely person , so yes, she has fulfilled my dreams.

Women unfortunately are oppressed everywhere - for many reasons - through different cultures and traditions and or religions. So attempting to address/correct a stereo type means I don't have a thought for women who are oppressed? You have zero idea of the work I do and the efforts I put into creating a just environment for everyone. I just highlighted that we don't need to keep jumping on the same bandwagon of Muslim
women who cover up are oppressed rather than recognising that actually maybe they are braver and bolder than most women by actually making such a statement in public knowing such views exist and doing it despite the negativity.

Totally this!! and the racism will be the end of the UK as we know it if Reform/ restore get into Government. The end of workers rights, womens's rights, including potentially abortions and maternity leave. Then the end of the NHS as most will be unable to afford healthcare.
Farage received £80,000 in funding from US anti abortion groups last year and also said that the NHS would not be funded by taxation. so who pays??
