Really Hello Fresh? Jumping on the Pride bandwagon and promoting your high fibre offering to gay men? Utterly grim.

I think it is quite crass. I thought these days Pride was meant to be a celebration of being able to not have to hide who you are and who you love, and this ad makes it sound like it’s just one big shagathon, which I’m sure is not the message the organisers want to promote.

Amie09 · 08/06/2026 00:22

It's a bit gross. It's not great marketing as I would think making people associate your food with that is doing to lose you far more customers than it gains. It's not what you really want to be thinking about when you're having dinner!

SabrinaThwaite · 07/06/2026 23:53

For a bonus, use the code BOTTOMSUP for a discount.

I shit you not.

myrtletrotter · 07/06/2026 23:49

HelloFresh food had got a bit manky anyway. Now everytimreI see it I just think shit...it looks desperate

Bikenutz · 07/06/2026 23:47

As an ad it’s probably done what the creator intended!

SapphOhNo · 07/06/2026 23:47

Lighten up

Darlia96 · 07/06/2026 23:44

No, I think they might ask what the punchline means.

My 7 year old needs to know what everything he reads means.

It's just unnecessary.

YankSplaining · 07/06/2026 23:43

It’s kind of crude, but the idea of advertising high-fiber food to gay men isn’t a bad one. It might have been better to just mention the high-fiber meals without being so explicit.

Darlia96 · 07/06/2026 23:30

If that's real it's pretty awful tbh
Im not prudish, I'm not homophobic, I'm just disgusted by an unfunny joke.
And when young children see the ad?

Do you think young children will understand the joke?

ChloeCannotCanCan · 07/06/2026 23:40

Awful - why the fuck is that necessary to plaster over SM?

ScrollingLeaves · 07/06/2026 23:39

Anyahyacinth · 07/06/2026 23:15

Who cares? If it doesnt apply to you? Or you want high fibre for a health reason jump in.

Seriously only a mind wanting to be outraged or clutch pearls would latch on to that

Not resorting to the cliche ‘clutch pearls’ would be great.

ScrollingLeaves · 07/06/2026 23:34

Repulsive.
How would you ever see a Hello Fresh box again without thinking of this too?

Pride just pushes and pushes.

Weird. It doesn't make sense anyway... Why wouldn't eating be a priority any more just because it's Pride month?

Also their whole selling point is that it's food that's quick and easy to make when you're busy, so even if you were just having sex 18 hours a day because it's June, isn't that where Hello Fresh should shine on its supposed merits?

LasersInTheJungle · 07/06/2026 23:25

Regardless of Pride, if you're promoting food I really don't want you to make me think of shit. Funnily enough it's a tad off-putting.

Ah well, if your product can't sell itself, trying desperately to "go viral" is probably not a bad way of getting clicks

rivalsbinge · 07/06/2026 23:25

I’d give them a massive swerve without even reading post that all of the meat they provide is halal so religiously slaughtered, for anyone using the food delivery brands gusto etc they all use RS meats. 🤮

Zov · 07/06/2026 23:21

Well, if they are talking about having anal sex, that's stupid anyway. You don't have to empty your bowel to have anal sex.

Daft. 🙄

ClayPotaLot · 07/06/2026 23:16

I think that’s brilliant.

I wish companies would give as much oxygen to the women for whom Pride should be a celebration instead of it always being about the men. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a funny post.

Omg!!! That’s a bit below the belt (if you pardon the pun!).

Hello Freshs SM post says:

“We know eating isn't always a top priority this month.
We respect that.
But for those of you who are... prepping... we have an extensive lineup of high-fiber recipes available.
Happy Pride”

It’s a reference to emptying the bowels in preparation for anal sex

They are discussing how their high fibre food is going to give you a big shit so that you can be bummed. Isn't that pleasant. The world is going to hell in a handcart.
