To be totally APPALLED by how Robinson referred to Henry Nowak in his “speech” in Southampton on Tuesday?

Whereismyjoiedevivre · 04/06/2026 09:22

I’ve just seen a clip of this in a Guardian article on the main agitators in Southampton on Tuesday.
TR refers to Henry Nowak in this way: “White privilege?! Does Henry swear word beginning with F Nowak look as if he had white privilege when he was lying on the floor?”
He then smirks as he looks down, clearly proud of himself for delivering such an eloquent speech [sarcasm].
I’m beyond disgusted by how the name of this beautiful young man, who has lost his life in the most brutal way, was used in such a disrespectful way in order to rouse a rabble and boost TR’s ego.
AIBU to say that over the last two days TR, NF and their ilk are really showing us who they are and what motivates them?

OMG! You are so right. How is everyone else missing this obvious point?

Putting a swear word between his first and second names is by far the worst thing that ever happened to Henry Nowak.

What have we all been thinking? We must immediately forget that Henry Nowak was violently murdered and left to die with the Police looking on, arresting him and accusing him of racism and mocking him when he begged for help. Surely that is nothing in comparison with inserting a swear word in his name.

Thank God we've got you to give put perspective on the real problem.

Nasty unwarranted sarcasm. Did you enjoy writing this?

No it isn't pointless to be concerned and upset about TR hijacking the murder of Henry Kovak. And your accusation is daft. I am writing words on a screen not terrorising people in their own homes and attacking police.

A FAMILY lying. A FAMILY. Just like so many other families of all races do.

Why do you need to call out that they’re a Sikh family? White families do the same and you would’ve have called their race out.

Err, maybe because it was a Sikh family on this occasion. 🤔 white families wouldn't have played the race card because apparently white people can only be the racists. Have you got it now?

What? You agree it’s okay to refer to Henry Nowak using an offensive swear word?

A bridge too far this time. White men can't campaign against white privilege because it upsets the left. Hurty words are way more unsettling than a Sikh family lying about a young white boy while he lay dying. Not bothered by a police force who have been trained like robots to police with fear and favour.

Mumsnet has thanks, not likes, so excuse me for not being a mind reader.

Regardless, it's not too difficult to be concerned by more than one thing at a time.

Edited

No mind reading required. You asked a question and I answered you.

I, like most people, am concerned about multiple things. The OP’s point is not one of them. As stated.

Owlsintheforest · 04/06/2026 14:20

Whereismyjoiedevivre · 04/06/2026 13:21

Please can you answer my question: how did you infer that?

This post makes you look deranged btw.

I’m Deranged? Lol for suggesting that you’re wasting your energy on Robinson which is absolutely pointless and distracts from the actual problem.

If you had actually been more productive than complaining about the words of an angry man you would easily be able to show us. But because you haven’t, I will conclude that you’ve done no such thing because it’s easier to just complain about the like of Farage and Robinson. Slow clap…

Riled Up Man Swears Shocker 🙄

If he's not to your taste, just ignore him. Just as I ignore whining leftists who believe they hold moral superiority over everyone else.

I’ve said before that the issue here has nothing to do with left, right or centre. Are you calling me a “whining leftist”?!

did you read the chain with OP? OP suggested that I had assumed she hadn’t done these things so I simply asked OP to prove it which isn’t unreasonable

I'm actually wondering if the family have expressed their real views.. Or just an airbrushed version of what they have been told to say.
The godmother has been very vocal on her opinions.. Especially anger directed towards the police and the treatment of their family during the investigation.

This whole thing stinks, keir using it as an excuse the snipe at the far right stinks, the difference in how the government are reacting trying to sweep it under the rug compared to what happened to George floyd is apparent.
And people like the op will ensure that no one can ever complain about it, you will be labelled as trying to stir up hate.

I think that we need to cut the police some slack here as they were presented with an unusual circumstance when they attended the scene. It is very unusual for the person who has carried out the stabbing in a random street attack to be involved in requesting police presence and remain on the scene awaiting their arrival. it’s usually a domestic abuse victim situation and self defence is the defence.

It is understandable that the police believed the murderer was the victim because he stayed on the scene. If you are guilty you run especially if There was no cctv or independent witness.

If the murderer wanted to play the race card and claim self defence following a racially aggravated attack they would admit the stabbing but claim self defence.

Irrespective of whether they thought he was victim or perpetrator, the way he was treated was abhorrent. In my early career I worked with some of the countries most dangerous offenders and they were all treated with dignity as human beings, even when being physically managed for violence and aggression.

Agreed. After watching the video I felt less like the police had actually done anything wrong. They called an ambulance within 4 mins and it was a very very confusing situation as you say.

(and generally, I hate the police!)

Yes, and? It wasn't said referencing Henry in a derogatory or insulting way, it was to emphasise his point/speech/words.

For the record I think TR should have respected Henry's parents wishes. But I also cant help but wonder if Id also say the same just because its expected. I also wouldnt be surprised if they were asked to say what they did tbh.

They weren’t asked to say it.

Henry despised the likes of TR and others trying to create a divide in this country.

He had many friends of different cultures, including those from the Sikh religion.

Even if you didn’t know him personally then there are many examples online of screenshots of his SM accounts etc showing how supportive he was of the BLM movement and disliking people like TR and Farage.

Even the judge in the case, said he doesn’t believe he would have said anything racist because he wasn’t like that and everyone can agree to that who knew him or know about it.

The family didn’t say this because ‘they were asked to’, they said it because they know their son and knew that he would have hated it.

Megifer · 04/06/2026 13:57

GregoryFluff · 04/06/2026 13:50

They were filming Henry, you know. He climbed over a fence and managed to land on a parked car, all after being stabbed. That monster was taunting him, taking the piss.
The Police arrive and the relief he must have felt. All to be handcuffed, his condition ignored, and likely worsened.
For the Police to taunt him as well. It's horrifying. And all because of the racism accusation.
Like the Manchester Arena bombing, when they didn't want to racially profile, so they let him blow a load of kids up. Or the Rudakabuna case. They didn't want to brand him a black boy with a knife, so he slaughtered those poor angels. Or Nottingham, when locking up another black boy would reflect poorly in statistics, so he was allowed the murder three innocent souls. Or the Muslim rape gang. That was allowed to continue, because we wouldn't want to stir up community tensions. Should I keep going...?
I imagine Henry's love ones are more upset about that to be honest
But yeah, Tommy swearing is the real fucking issue here

Hush now with your examples, Marjorie on Mumsnet says 2 tier policing isnt a thing, so it must be true.

Anyname25 · 04/06/2026 13:57

likelysuspect · 04/06/2026 13:15

Thats true about the way he died

The horrible fact is also that even if they had got him medical attention straight away, he would have died, a medic in the case confirmed he would not have survived the stabbing no matter what treatment he had.

The police actions didnt cause him to die but they caused him to die in an incredibly undignified, frightening, painful manner that might have been avoided he medical care had been forthcoming. I dont know if that is true though.

The thing is, the word fucking has probably not even hit Henrys families radar. What will haunt them for the rest of their days is exactly how their son died. Yes the police didn't kill him but when Henry was begging them for help, they not only let him down but treated him like an animal. It's not about whether the police could have saved his life. It seems pretty clear from all I've read that they couldn't. It's the way they treated him as he lay dying. They were told his mouth was full of blood before they arrested him, how did they think that happened? There were multiple police there and judging by the photos of Henry, he wasn't a big guy, he wasn't being aggressive in any way. He didn't need to be restrained.

The fact the family have had to watch that video. I can't even begin to imagine the horror and the trauma inflicted on them. It broke my heart and I didn't know Henry. To those that loved him, well I just don't even have the words for how traumatic that must have been.

I don't want any violence to come from this but I do want action. I'm sick of the term "dog whistle" being thrown around to shut people up. I wish we had better people demanding answers but answers do need to be demanded.

If it was my 18 year old son, murdered I. The same way and in the same circumstance as Henry Nowak then it would be me making a similar speech. I wouldn’t need Tommy Robinson to do it for me. But, no, I wouldn’t find it unacceptable.

Nobody “needs” TR to speak for them, he does it completely unnecessarily.

Whataflippincircus · 04/06/2026 13:43

When I grew up, generally people didn’t swear, or there was the occasional bugger or bloody spoken.

These days, fuck/fucking have become everyday words for many people. At one time I would have been shocked to hear those words but those days are long gone.

The OP should perhaps consider that when clutching her pearls at the language used.

Like the vast majority of posters I believe this word used, pales into insignificance compared with what has actually happened.

bloooooberry · 04/06/2026 13:43
