To think Nigel Farage should be locked up?

He was inciting violence with his “address to the nation” speech, calling for rage.

Meanwhile, he doesn’t care when women are actually murdered by the police

Surely enough is enough and they need to take action?

Nigel Farage MP (@Nigel_Farage) on X

We must not allow the tragic murder of a young woman turn into attacks on men and attacks on the police.

So much irony in this thread.

Those going on harping on about the right/ far right/ whoever politicising this - are the ones also politicising this!

Something very serious has happened here. It’s not a left or right issue. It’s not even a divisive issue which people keep saying. Where’s the division. No one is going on about Sikhs. This is quite clearly being seen as a one off.

But it has bought up the issue about the racial guidance. It is wrong. It needs changing.

The police also need retrainining. They did a horrendous job on nearly every front.

Politicians need to get a grip. This is simply about right and wrong.

Edited

Yes. The police will be investigated and the training / guidelines probably changed.

No idea why you are fixating on Farage or George Floyd or anything apart from the actual incident and the actual issues. I have heard hours of discussion on this topic by now and not once have I actually heard Farage speak.

There are plenty of people having serious conversations.

The title of the thread is about Nigel Farage. Do you think that might have something to do with why I mentioned him? You also asked where is the division, I answered and also gave an explanation on why it was divisive, it’s because he, and members of the public, are making it so. Is that alright with you?

Tortoisel · 05/06/2026 02:16

Teanbiscuits33 · 05/06/2026 01:43

It’s being made a divisive issue by Farage and everyone who is suddenly claiming the police are anti white and they’re scared for themselves/their sons.

Making false equivalence between this and the George Floyd case. It just smacks of blatant desperate opportunism to paint themselves as victims and justify their prejudices. It’s just not reality, but fingers will be in ears about that.

When a police officer makes an awful, tragic mistake during the first five minutes of coming on a fairly chaotic situation at night time in winter, Farage demands cold rage against the police. When a police officer murders a woman, Farage says that anger against the police would be wrong.

So for Farage and his supporters, apparently only white men's lives matter.

How do you know Henry was killed because of his race? All we know is that the murderer accused Henry of racism to try and justify stabbing him? We don’t know that Henry was stabbed for racial reasons.

It could have been a case of the murderer being a mad man going about finding someone to stab just because he could. It could have been any number of things that caused the murderer to fly into a rage. Has the reason been reported?

Edited

Exactly. And we also don’t know whether the police didn’t properly check the victim because of race either. What we do know is that the killer and his family attempted to confuse, obfuscate or otherwise mislead the police, who still made a massive error in diagnosing the victim’s condition, that’s undisputed, but that they attempted to arrest him “because of woke” or whatever is a leap.

Listen to police on their take on the training.

That is irrelevant to the point I made.

JuliaBraverman · 04/06/2026 23:45

Surely the point is NOBODY should be killed because of their race like Henry was and when they need help, they should be protected by the police no matter what ethnicity they are as that is their job

I bet you now Nigel will use this tragedy to justify their stripping of the Equalities Act, so that when/if he gets into power and wants to make himself and his billionaire backers richer, he can do what he likes, he makes the rules. Ordinary citizens have no recourse. No workers rights either, and no ECHR. People will be cheering for all our rights to be taken off the back of this.

All our rights that have been fought for since the end of WW2 to stop governments abusing their powers will all be gone. Now, I wonder what he wants to do such a thing for! If you think he’s just going to take certain rights away, I would think again.

Exactly NOBODY should be killed, but nobody shows the same level of empathy dependant upon what colour their skin is, or what their religion is, or their ancestry, that’s my point. And to suggest the police are against white people is just ridiculous.

People unfortunately just use tragedies such as this to justify their own biases and cruelty towards people.

JuliaBraverman · 04/06/2026 23:45

Teanbiscuits33 · 04/06/2026 23:26

I used DARVO expression because racial bias has been happening in the police for years against minorities but funnily enough you don’t give a shiny shit about that, but God forbid a person with white skin is tragically killed and it’s somehow different now. It is sickening.

Vile post

I’m not downplaying anything. I’ve said on the other thread today it’s tragic and heads should roll in the police, like what else do you want? Blood? Am I not showing enough rage for you? Would you show this amount of outrage no matter who is stabbed, by whom?

By calling out the contrast in responses between crimes against different races, why does that mean I’m downplaying a tragedy? What nonsense.

What have those two murders got to do with that?

The police? Nothing. But you can bet your last penny that if the tables were turned, Farage et al. would be all over it crowing about immigration. He cares only if the skin colour, religion or the ancestry of a perpetrator can further his cause.

Skin colour comes first on the list as it’s the most notable ‘other’ characteristic, followed closely by religion and then if neither of those apply, he will target their name to see if he can use that to claim they’re not British. If it’s white British on British or white on black and doesn’t in any way involve a minority that has caused harm, he won’t care. Just like he also didn’t care about the Sikh woman who was raped in a racially aggravated attack.

Used to be about Eastern Europeans. It’s the same old tricks.

I see we've now for several ethnic minority murder cases being quoted. I'm nor sure why in this instance. Unless police were negligent in both cases?

The police have always been biased towards ethnic minorities. There are plenty of instances of this and even the police accept it. It’s just people don’t want to know and deny it. It’s definitely happening against white people though! Definitely!

Good thing that person isn’t our PM then.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/60213975?app-referrer=deep-link

Anyone who believes that such a high profile case didnt cross the desk of the DPP must be deluded. Apparently the grooming gangs files didn't either.
Oh and not forgetting nobody told the PM that Mandy had failed his vetting !!
There seems to be a theme here 🤔

So why is it okay for people to suggest Black man bad like white people including NF have been doing for decades, but if anyone counters it and points out your very selective rage, you don’t like it 😄 talk about DARVO
