To think Nigel Farage should be locked up?

He was inciting violence with his “address to the nation” speech, calling for rage.

Meanwhile, he doesn’t care when women are actually murdered by the police

Surely enough is enough and they need to take action?

Nigel Farage MP (@Nigel_Farage) on X

We must not allow the tragic murder of a young woman turn into attacks on men and attacks on the police.

What do you want to happen? Who do you want the rage directed towards? The police? Police dogs? Maybe Henry Novak’s father?

I suppose I'd like to see the government in the UK and the US recognize this rage and acknowledge that 1) the majority matter just as much as the minority, 2) the experience of poor whites is is just as challenging as any other struggle, 3) that working-class whites are not guilty simply because of being western and white.

I'm not familiar enough with the history British politics, but in the US, accusations of racism have been used against conservative people for 60+ years. Not just conservative politicians. But conservative voters. And it just doesn't work anymore. So are we really surprised that the younger generation are speaking positively about "the Austrian painter?" I could never have imagined that the younger generation would embrace the painter and long-standing anti-Semitic tropes. That they would openly talk of "Black Fatigue." But here we are. And rather than condemn these people, let's understand how we got here. Simply dismissing these folks as stupid racists only reinforces their beliefs. It radicalizes people. This path is untenable. And the sooner our governments understand this, the better.

measuretwicecutonce · 04/06/2026 08:49

No @FabiaQuintillathe documents actually state it and the police force have admitted that they are being reviewed because of it. People are more and more aware of things like this being covered up or data not being collected correctly to cover things up. Trust is gone.

Someone is a bit salty that Farage is right. And you can no longer deny it. The proof is undeniable.

And unless your called out Starmer for stoking racial violence after St. Floyd, you have no moral authority to lecture anyone about Farage encouraging "rage." Perhaps rage from the working class majority is exactly what is needed.

Your rage at the police is only triggered when you perceive them taking the side of a non-white person over a white person. They have been doing the exact same thing to non-white people for decades.

If it was the abysmal policing itself that was being protested we would have seen the same riots for Sarah Everard and again a couple of weeks ago when serial rapists were allowed to walk free.

ERthree · 04/06/2026 08:48

OP do you not feel cold hard rage against Henry's killer, the murders family and the Police officers that handcuffed Henry and to brass that lied to Henry's family for months? I certainly feel it and i don't need to wait until i am told by a politician. Farage is not someone i would vote for but he has the right to highlight just what is going on in this country. There is a two tier system in Policing, the justice system and housing. We have a Prime minister that won't support our country's values or heritage and takes great delight in making sure our veterans are prosecuted. British people are fed up and have the right to voice their opinion and take to the streets in peaceful protest. I don't agree with the violence but i can understand why it happens.

Luddite26 · 04/06/2026 08:48

Why is Farage "addressing the nation" anyway? He is not head of state. Not PM (yet before everyone posts yet).
He's MP for Clacton. He's taking his orders from Elon. The nation is not his priority.

Seymour5 · 04/06/2026 08:47

Have people forgotten why grooming gangs, certainly in Rotherham, were not tackled? The police and council officials were frightened of being thought racist, of upsetting a specific community. Plenty of evidence proved that to be the case.

From the Lawrence murder, never investigated properly due to institutional racism, to the Nowak murder, where a young white man is disbelieved because the coppers believed the perpetrators, the pendulum has swung too far.

Naunet · 04/06/2026 08:47

Pippin2017 · 04/06/2026 08:38

Henry Nowak's death is an absolute tragedy which could have been avoided. However Farage's use of the death of a teenager (and absolutely against Henry Nowak's family's wishes) to incite violence and unrest is reprehensible and he should be ashamed. I think Farage doesn't feel rage, but glee that his followers are in a violent frenzy.

This tragedy occurred because of this country's history of racism, homophobia and misogyny.

This tragedy occurred because of this country's history of racism, homophobia and misogyny

What? How has this case got anything to do with homophobia and misogyny?

BackToLurk · 04/06/2026 08:43

That is due to police incompetence, not diversity training.

Listen to police on this and read Jack Straw’s article.

DeftGoldHedgehog · 04/06/2026 08:46

If there is anything two tier (which is only used from 2024 because it rhymes with Kier, btw, it's not actually a thing) or let's say uneven about the way the law is applied in the country it's that the multi millionaire and billionaire class that Farage is sponsored by are effectively above the law.

They want him to carry on pointing fingers and shifting the blame elsewhere. Poor people, immigrants, woke, anyone convenient and anything to cause people to be divided and not united against those who have all the money and real power, far more than governments.

TirednessOnToast · 04/06/2026 08:46

I listened carefully to KS, KN & NF yesterday.KS was in his HoC remarks - 'at his best in..'. Genuine integrity. KB made an interesting clip later about 'positive race bias' & how she doesn't think it works - she thinks ALL lives matter & would like to see a 'colourblind' society (this sounds ideal, but how to ensure implementation in reality?)
NF was using dog whistle tactics & his 'cold rage' incitement was just that. Reprehensible.
Glad to see him booed in the HoC but it's on the streets that we really need him to be shunned. There was, & is, Institutional racism in the Police. There may now be a clumsy attempt to address that which has resulted in an over adjustment in some cases so justice has not been done. HN's death was appalling. His family's wishes that it is not appropriated for the gain of others (looking at you NF) should be paramount. (apologies for typos, App playing up, as ever)

FabiaQuintilla · 04/06/2026 08:45

Many feel
there is 2 tier policing and despite documents coming out proving it over the past few days, the government still deny it.

Yes, because they are repeatedly being told there is by people who are skilled in exploiting division and emotion and highly determined when it comes to their goals.

He died because Digwa stabbed him in the chest, ffs. The judge was clear in his sentencing comments that the wound was not survivable.

Sentencing remakrds

I think it's in para 16.

How is "police diversity training" responsible for the actions of Digwa, and how could it possibly have prevented someone dying from an unsurvivable wound?

Ah well, i dont know what all the fuss is about then if he wouldn't have survived anyway 🙄

Disliking someone isn't enough to lock them up. If there's actual incitement, that's for the courts to decide based on evidence, not because people find his politics irritating. Otherwise half of Parliament would be in trouble every week.

Are you angry that Starmer and Raynor took the knee over the murder of a black criminal and neither did this or yesterday, called for a minute's silence over the murder of a white teenager?

Well, I am and so are millions of others.

Farage addresses this and that is why Reform UK are now the opposition in this country, despite being hampered every step of the way by the establishment and useful idiots.

Go Nigel! He is the face of right wing politics-not far right- and he has lit a fire under the far left.

Were people on MN and the likes of Farage, Tommy Robinson etc talking about pure cold rage when two tier policing was the other way round and white people were less likely to be stopped and searched etc. The prison population in UK pretty much shows two tier policing as the percentage of ethnic minority prisoners is much higher than the percentage of the population in UK as a whole. When the police were shown to be institutionalised racist was Farage talking about pure cold rage?

(Sigh), have you ever heard the saying correlation is not causation? Different ethnicities have different propensities for crime whether you like it or not. Which is why Chinese people are under represented in prison. Do you suggest putting more innocent Chinese in prison to remedy this?

No mention of the treatment if Henry in the last moments. Nine times he said I can’t breathe, four times I’ve been stabbed.

Surrounded by liars and the perpetrator he was dismissed, handcuffed, arrested and ‘don’t think you have mate’.

That is due to police incompetence, not diversity training.

YourGoldSquid · 04/06/2026 08:18

I'm assuming you condemned the BLM riots as well? If not, you are not acting on principle, but political expediency.

All violence is horrible. It should not happen in any political context. But violence in this case is not surprising. And condemning this violence, while embracing BLM violence further demonstrates a double standard. Those dumb white Britons just need to read Robin Diangelo, right? If they weren't so damn stupid, they would understand that the color of their skin and the place of their birth is responsible for all problems in the world.

You can't sh*t on people for years and then be surprised when they finally react. No sensible person condones violence. But no intelligent person denies why it occurs.

Why have you quoted me to offer rhetoric that doesn't address my comment? Your argument here is based solely on your incorrect assumption that I do not condemn all riots, when I assure you I do.
My comment to you was to make the point that you are stupid to support Farages rabble rousing and cowardly to hide this behind your lie that its the 'majority working class' who want to see riots on our streets.
And you are quite wrong in your belief that its the way people who have been treated that has led to this violence.
The majority of working class people will have had no experience of police bias against them because they are white. They are multiple times more likely to have been exploited by landlords, employers and lost opportunities to the wealthy and privileged. So by your logic there should be riots every day.
This violence has happened because Farage has marshalled a bunch of thugs looking for an excuse. Don't try to excuse him or them.

“Salty”.

He is completely wrong. Henry Nowak’s family have called for his death to not be used for political gain.

The case of George Floyd was entirely different. He was murdered by a police officer. Whatever happened in his life, he did not deserve to be murdered by police.

Henry Nowak was stabbed by a man, who then lied to the police. The police responded with pure incompetence but it’s not the same thing, is it?

George Floyd was American. Does our pathetic PM get down on his knees for all people murdered by the police, you know like Sarah Everard, or just black, male Americans for some reason ?

sittingonabeach · 04/06/2026 08:40

@1dayatatime but Farage knows that using that term, many people (especially those who like to throw bricks at certain parts of the population) will only see the word ‘rage’, he knows exactly what he is doing.

And again I ask where was Farage when two tier policing was the other way round?

Someone is a bit salty that Farage is right. And you can no longer deny it. The proof is undeniable.

Proof of what? Even if you could prove ‘it’ (and it is genuinely unclear what you mean, although obviously I get the rough racial gist), rioting, violence and hatred cannot be the answer.

And because we clearly have to keep stating the bleeding obvious, no, I’m not in favour of it elsewhere on the political spectrum.

DeftGoldHedgehog · 04/06/2026 08:39

It's so fucking laughable (if it were not so serious) to say that the police are so woke and that's why Nowak died. Anti-racist policies are needed because so many people are actually racists and given a voice and pumped up by people like Farage and their lies. If you could trace a line to anyone (other than the murderer) to be responsible for the murder and the society in which this is allowed to happen it's Farage and his ilk.

The murder of Sarah Everard and multiple other events have shown that the police desperately need reform (not Reform), particularly the Met, I'm not defending the police. There are absolutely riven with misogyny and racism. Every time Farage pops up he is more revolting than the last time. WTF he is doing in between who knows. Spending the millions of pounds he got as a private "gift" from a billionaire, no doubt.
