To think Nigel Farage should be locked up?

nobodyssons · 04/06/2026 07:05

He was inciting violence with his “address to the nation” speech, calling for rage.

Meanwhile, he doesn’t care when women are actually murdered by the police

Surely enough is enough and they need to take action?

Nigel Farage MP (@Nigel_Farage) on X

We must not allow the tragic murder of a young woman turn into attacks on men and attacks on the police.

I don't think Farage is as popular as many believe he is! However, they're all as bad as each other. Starmer has consistently labelled many concerned parents (mostly mothers in Epping) as 'far right racist thugs'...

It's all mud slinging from both sides - we need to rise above it and ignore these cretins. Ultimately, the safety of everyone is what is important.

Neverwatchedgameofthrones · 04/06/2026 09:40

I do not support any political party, I think they are all incompetent at best and dangerous ar worst. As a disabled person I am angry about Farages comments about me and my people.

But locked up? Yeah maybe when we start locking up other professionals whose lacklustre approach to their job results in jail time. Most of the time people don't even lose their jobs. So if we are going to apply the same rules to social workers, nurses, carers, ambulance staff etc by all means.

Lets start with the police that handcuffed a dying man. Rage doesn't begin to sum up how I feel about it. Am I going to go and protest though? No because nothing will change. Corrupt people protect corrupt people.

Sorry you don't like Farage but I think anyone who doesn't feel rage for the trayemebt of a dying young man and is using it to virtue signal a shitty individual actually.

This tragedy occurred because of this country's history of racism, homophobia and misogyny

What? How has this case got anything to do with homophobia and misogyny?

Because the police (and many in society as a whole) were/are racist, misogynist and homophobic. This is why DEI initiatives had to be put in place - to try and mitigate the ingrained behaviours of the police.

The police believed the perpetrator in this case because for generations, the accusation of racism would have been accurate. If it wasn't for the generations of racist, misogynistic and homophobic behaviour, from the police and wider society, there would be no need for anyone to automatically believe an accusation of racism because of historic behaviour.

The only reason people are able to claim 'two tier policing' now, is due to appalling behaviours in the past. If policing had been fair, there would be no need for DEI. I have assumed, possibly erroneously, that you are a woman. If you are a woman, you should be grateful for DEI.

This case may not be about misogyny and homophobia specifically, but discrimination in the past has led us to where we are today.

Portakalkedi · 04/06/2026 09:38

There is no doubt that there is absolutely two tier policing. The rules might not specify that the white person should be seen as the villain, but as we have seen in the news a lot recently, in addition to their woke policies, police officers and most public servants are (rightly) afraid of being seen as 'racist' - using that word in a loose sense - as it can end their career and ruin lives. Hence the many cases we see, such as the tragic one of Henry Nowak. The recent traveller rape cases also spring to mind, and perhaps you liberal types who hate Farage might consider that the public 'rage' is being manifested as support for Reform and Restore Britain.

PortSalutPlease · 04/06/2026 09:37

The only thing that matters in all of this is that Henry Nowak’s grieving family explicitly asked for Tommy Ten Names, Farage and their ilk not to exploit Henry’s death this way, and they have ignored it.

nobodyssons · 04/06/2026 07:28

No, it’s not.

The guidance calls for an equality of outcomes. I.e., if you have two people in front of you with the same facts (same suspected offences, same level of evidence), making sure they get the same treatment.

Isn’t that what we want in our justice system?

"Equality of outcomes" and "same treatment" are not the same thing at all.

According to some statistics some people of whatever group may need a bit of a push to get the same outcome as someone from a different group; ie what most of us wound call different treatment **

sussexman · 04/06/2026 09:35

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 04/06/2026 07:25

What is two-tier exactly about "equality of policing outcomes for people of different ethnic groups"?

There is some (limited) evidence for that, but not in the way Reform and many on here are claiming.

"All ethnic groups were significantly more likely to be sentenced to immediate custody for indictable offences compared to White offenders"

and

"there was a statistically significant association for offenders of Black and Other ethnic groups with increased odds of receiving a custodial sentence, compared to White offenders. In contrast, Asian offenders had statistically significant decreased odds of receiving custody."

Oh I am not a reformer whatsoever, and I can't stand Nigel Farage.

@Menopausalsourpuss you say Starmer doesn’t care as he has money and a gold plated pension. What do you think Farage has, do you think he really cares about people?

Well, he has £5 million.

Roomonthe3rdfloor · 04/06/2026 09:32

Menopausalsourpuss · 04/06/2026 09:28

All these left wing people like "Sir" Keir and people on here ranting on about "fascists" and "far right" remind me of Rick from the Young Ones (a long time ago but he was a parody of a left me wing student who called everyone fascist). Grow up! People have genuine concerns and if you think Lowe and Farage are "facists" or "Hitler" you really have lost your marbles.

On the contrary I think people have “lost their marbles” thinking someone like Farage gives a shit about the UK and its people.

Has he held any surgeries in Clacton yet

Did Farage say that?

No he didn't. The BBC misquoted him and had to apologise.

friedaklein · 04/06/2026 09:29

It's interesting how the Nowaks, a Polish family, are considered British while so many have argued that Digwa and his family are not British/ illegal immigrants/ foreigners/ Muslim!

Mantanora · 04/06/2026 09:28

Mugglingstrum · 04/06/2026 09:23

He may have money but for some it is never enough. The money is integral to his lifestyle.

I agree entirely with everything else you point out about him.

I didn't mean to disagree with you exactly. No doubt money is important to him but what I meant is I don't believe he is playing politics for the money. He is just an egotist like Trump.

AllaFieraDellEst · 04/06/2026 09:28

I'm no fan of Nigel Farage, but you are no fan of free speech either. A central tenant of our democracy.

There's no two-tier policing in the UK, is there?
Right, so I suppose we all imagined the incident where a visibly Jewish man was arrested at a counter-protest for having a Magen David necklace on display, while individuals carrying pro-Hamas signs and chanting for the destruction of the world's only Jewish state were allowed to continue without police intervention.

Do.you know what Luxury Beliefs are OP? Because you clearly hold them.

Someone is a bit salty that Farage is right. And you can no longer deny it. The proof is undeniable.

And unless your called out Starmer for stoking racial violence after St. Floyd, you have no moral authority to lecture anyone about Farage encouraging "rage." Perhaps rage from the working class majority is exactly what is needed.

Just a reminder that when Sarah Everard was murdered by a Policeman he (Farage) said "We must not allow the tragic murder of a young woman turn into attacks on men and attacks on the police" and called for calm.

northernspanishlass · 04/06/2026 09:05

What challenges?
What can you do that your partner cant?

to name a few:

It’s significantly harder for non white people to earn as much as white people (they work in the NHS, this might not be the same elsewhere). career progression is harder.

They need to try harder to present as white when around law enforcement for their own protection. Law enforcement has a racial disparity between how they treat white and non white people. And it’s in the opposite way then which Farage would have you believe.

They can be the victim or racial abuse because of how they appear, simply walking down the street.

The last point has got significantly worse in the past few years with the normalisation of extreme right wing viewpoints.

BIossomtoes · 04/06/2026 09:26

Greenwitchart · 04/06/2026 08:35

It is so immature to keep referring to people who are condemning Farage as ''lefties'' .

It is not about left or right, it is about common decency and not wanting some grifter to poison communities with his hate propaganda.

Kemi Badenoch criticised Farage for playing politics yesterday. She is hardly a ''lefty''...

Even Rupert Lowe has done the same. Now please someone say he’s a “lefty” so we can all have a good laugh.

sussexman · 04/06/2026 09:26

Lmnop22 · 04/06/2026 09:11

You keep asking for proof of everyone else’s comments but where’s your “proof” that two tier policing isn’t rife?

Henry was killed in December. The police were lied to late at night on the scene and initially missed the stabbing (that's on them). Once they realised they'd been lied to, they investigated properly, including the covert recording of the brothers' conversations and amassed enough evidence to get a conviction within 6 months.

AlternateLook · 04/06/2026 09:25

Dontcallmescarface · 04/06/2026 09:15

And then laughed and smirked at the answer. Farage really couldn't give a fat rat's crack about Henry Nowack, Henry's family or anybody else but himself. As far as he is concerned this is all a welcome distraction (for him), away from the £5m bung he took.

Oh, and Keir Starmer's positively heartbroken over the poor innocent lad's murder, isn't he?

Kitte321 · 04/06/2026 09:25

Ablondiebutagoody · 04/06/2026 07:15

Get a grip. Farage is right on this one. 2 tier policing based on race is undeniable. Its there in the polices own documentation and training material. Hence Labour trying to make this about Farage.

Even if Farage is right (which I don’t think has been explored fully), his response and behaviour is completely wrong.
He is pitting one section of society against another. He isn’t interested in being part of a constructive discussion or to be involved in the work to illicit change.
He just wants to provide a cause to stoke community division. I hope that at least some of his supporters turn away from him.

What’s political about calling for a response of “pure cold rage”?

Have you checked the definition of that phrase?
