To think Nigel Farage should be locked up?

He was inciting violence with his “address to the nation” speech, calling for rage.

Meanwhile, he doesn’t care when women are actually murdered by the police

Surely enough is enough and they need to take action?

Nigel Farage MP (@Nigel_Farage) on X

We must not allow the tragic murder of a young woman turn into attacks on men and attacks on the police.

As awful as that case is, I don't see the relevance to Farage's words @PoppyFleur

PoppyFleur · 04/06/2026 22:45

@JuliaBraverman when does the pure cold rage start for this?

Any murder is deplorable

We have its just not Headline news….

You will not see Henry's words stencilled on a mural. No politician will quote them in the Commons. No corporation will change its logo. The same establishment that made four words immortal when spoken by a black man in Minneapolis has met the same four words, spoken by a white boy dying on a Southampton street, with what can only be described as a determined, institutional silence.
That silence is not neutral. It is a statement. It tells you exactly whose suffering the system has decided counts, and whose does not.
And it was produced not by the old racism - not by skinheads and yobs - but by the people who spent six years telling you they had abolished it.

The quote to respond with "pure cold rage" is the exact opposite to an incitement to violence or unrest. It's a call for "focused calm anger".

How many of Farage’s followers are going to have known the true definition? It’s well known that they generally aren’t the most educated people in the country, and given that a not insignificant number of his followers enjoy partaking in violence and will use any excuse for a fight, it was pretty obvious what was going to ensue.

All those people will have heard is the word ‘’rage’’ and taken that as a command and he knew that full well.
The ambiguity of the language was completely deliberate so that he could achieve the desired outcome whilst giving himself plausible deniability. He’s a complete hate mongering piece of shit.

Yes let's lock up Nigel and let two violent rapists go free. What was that about two tier policing.

There's plenty of room for him in prison though due to Starmer's wonderful idea of freeing up room. Another bonkers Labour idea.

Oh dear - perhaps a little more reading of history would help.

Stalinist gulags - fascism?
North Korean Labour camps - fascism?
Iranian political prisoners from recent protests- fascism?

Honestly the intellectual quality of debate on MN just gets progressively worse.

Intellectual quality of debate - would that be wishing people dead?

Yes, the police locking up Farage right now would be a fabulous idea.

Do you want a civil war?

He must be pleased for a distraction from the Mandelson affair.

More to come from that me thinks.

Corrupt from the top down… although the Mandelson affair is now proving that anyway.

Did I just read somebody wishing Farage dead the same as a poster did of Tommy Robinson? These are the ones who think they are better than everyone who thinks differently to them. Not nice people at all really but certainly vile hypocrites.

vetting row raises fresh concerns over Starmer's judgement

... the prime minister was told to his face by one of his own MPs, Emma Lewell, that the last few weeks had led to people "screaming at me in the street that I am a member of the paedo protectors party".

Bonkers reply. Not arrogance just fact. Siding with right wing fascists has never ended well. Maybe try reading a history book or two.

Maybe try keeping up with the changing face of fascism.

BIossomtoes · 04/06/2026 22:07

I’m not going to engage with your tiresome whataboutery any more.
