What is the wankiest thing you’ve seen your ex do?

That made you think - what a knob! And that you are well rid of them!

lighthearted thread -

I’ll go first -

Recently my ex changed his profile picture to this wanky AI generated image of him in the middle with a halo and two angels either side… he actually gave himself a halo 🤣 What a knobhead! Like he was Jesus 😳(He was a massive narcissist. My ex. Not Jesus)

What are the wankiest things your ex has ever done?

Like the poster that's boyfriend accused her of chewing on the placemats, my sister's exH accused her of chewing up and ruining his iPod headphones. Of course it had to be an adult woman, not the cat, who was prone to chewing anything left around their home.

My H and I are currently separated. He loves to be an expert on everything, doesn't matter if it is something he knows nothing about. One time I told him that my dad's mop was broken and he informed me that it wasn't. Quite clairvoyant of him, given that he hadn't actually seen the mop. When I told him that I needed to get glasses as my eye sight had deteriorated he informed me that he didn't agree and he thought that my eyesight was fine. It drives me absolutely crazy.

Since separating he will come around and drop off his very sad fruit and vegetables when they are ready for the compost "so I can do something with them". I just look at him blankly and he can't understand why I don't say thank you. I have asked him not to and he still does it. I don't want to fight in front of the kids though.

He also informed me that there was nothing wrong with our sex life and doesn't understand why I had any complaints. Surely if 50% of the participants have negative feedback then that's a bad review.

Wankiest is a great word 🤣

Agree 100%!
Some other favourites of mine come from my dear now deceased Grandpa:
”wouldn’t cross the street to meet them (insert random v well known celebrity here)”
”wouldn’t pee on them if they were on fire (insert name of someone who had wronged the family here)”
”tell them to go pee up a rope” (still no idea where this comes from but it always makes me laugh 🤭)…

BoopeanLogic · 07/06/2026 01:51

@Delladuck There is this on eBay, but it’s just a chart, not a kit.

What is the wankiest thing you’ve seen your ex do?

Wouldn’t it be amazing if, after all the hilarious, horrible and heartbreaking tales told on this thread, in the cathartic safe space that was formed…this cross stitch was found, and this thread gave one lovely @Delladuckso happy…

I feel like I’m living in a RomCom, but with friends! What’s that called? And how do I help find the cross stitch?

My ex turned up to our Dds birthday party having never been interested in designer clothing but had obviously taken fashion advice from new younger girlfriend. He was clad head to toe in that monogram LV pattern. My mum asked him why he had come dressed as a suitcase when it wasn’t fancy dress.

I’m crying laughing at this. Your mum is awesome!

Ex forged my signature to resign me from our business

Wow! I hope he didn’t get away with it

No problem, I know how good it feels when you complete a kit that you really love, and to have some cock knocking scumbag ruin it just to hurt you pisses me off on your behalf 😅 obviously I tried googling but it kept coming up with Christmas ones. Was it a light or darker colours pattern?

I seem to remember a lot of mid to dark greys and a very red letterbox but that was made up of about 5 reds (just to liven things up)
I think there was a 'v' on the letterbox but a swirly 'v'
Im sure her dress had pinks in it
Thank you so much

Delladuck · 06/06/2026 08:52

Thank you, thats not the one though (I've already stitched that one-it lives in my bedroom)

It was a grey, rainy day,the little girl was more to the right and she was reaching up to the letterbox (I hated red after that!) with a load of victorian buildings behind her (I may have got a few details slightly out but it was definitely just the one girl-i remember whinging about her dress to a friend)

Im not sure if she was wearing a hat or not

(Im painting this out to be a real miserable picture!)

Im sure it was by the same lady, all our yesterday's does ring a bell (I have done a few of that range and they are lovely-i love the seaside ones)

Is not this one, is it?

Oh my gosh I so hope it is!! I’m so invested in mumsnet power finding this for you!

Very,very similar
I remember it having buildings-like a victorian winter day
Lots of greys and blacks (i think!)
I like that one tho-i might hunt it down and give it a go
(not that I dont have a few packed away already!haha)

I used to do cross stitch so will have a look in my old box of cross stitch goodies as that pattern seems weirdly familiar. Your ex was a pure dickhead doing that to you. Mine had the temerity to berate me for breaking a dinner plate and making a mess. The whole thing was caused by him throwing the dinner plate loaded with a Sunday dinner and covered in boiling hot gravy at my head. The plate broke from hitting me in the head and I was burned with the gravy. But obviously it was all my fault 🙄 as I said at the start of the thread, at least he did the world a favour by dropping dead😂

I have gone around the Internet so many times, looking for it

The problem is,my memory is slightly hazy-I remember the victorian girl, the postbox (how can I forget that bloody postbox?) and the buildings but im not 100% on any other details (it was in a sale bin in a shop)

Ill keep looking on the details I can remember but I do it as a hobby and have made loads more

His time will come-hes in his 50's,can only get young girls that have no self esteem and that he can bend to his demands (his personality is now illegal thanks to the new coercive control laws-i hope one stands up to him and goes to the police)

He'll die a lonely man where nobody will mourn him and he knows it

Might be worth joining any cross stitch and sewing groups on FB. I know a lot of hobbyists (me included!) often buy far more stuff for projects than they have a hope of doing, so you might strike lucky!

ETA is it like this? https://creativecraftingworld.co.uk/product/victorian-post-box-sampler/

About 27 years ago,he walked out leaving me with 2 small kids,a shit load of debt and no money

He would come round to my house (to check i wasnt shagging anyone else or heaven forbid, have some sort of peace from him) and would sit there smirking at me (I was so scared of him as he was violent and controlling)

Anyway,id scraped enough cash together to buy myself a cross stitch just for something to do on an evening when the kids had gone to bed

I spent the best part of 9 months stitching it-it was a victorian girl putting letter in a postbox and very detailed

I put blood, sweat, tears and my soul into making it and when the kids where about,it lived in a drawer away from small hands

I was about 20/25 stitches away from finishing it when he swaggered in,that smirk on his face and the attitude of 'im here to see my kids and you cant stop me'

He went into the kitchen to make himself a black coffee and a poke about in my cupboards/drawers

He found my cross stitch, made his coffee and poured the whole lot in the drawer deliberately

It was ruined (i tried to save it,but it was too stained) and his smirk didnt match the 'I just dropped my coffee by mistake, soz'

Daft thing now,he knows im not scared of him at all and runs away when he sees me but I never did replace that cross stitch as it was one from an end of line sale, which is how I been able to afford it-I've trawled Ebay but have never found it again in kit form

He never came into my home again-he knew he'd gone too far and that was my death by the last cut

Didn't stop him dragging me through the courts to control me until he lost interest

He knows that if I get within arms length of him,ill have him by his tiny bollocks and i'll launch him into space

I’m so sorry; what a cruel bastard. I’m so angry for you and the cross stitch! Keep searching. I hope one comes up some day x

There are so many terrible stories on here, but the cruelty in this one really stood out to me...

My ex (while we were going out) used to read The Economist during sex. Described women as "receptacles". Mocked me endlessly for having gone to state school and for not doing PPE, like him.

Absolute, stone-cold wanker. Sad thing is that his type run our country.

Oh my word is he called Charlie? Knew a guy like that (friend of a friend) when I was young and would not put this list past him. This is wild. How bloody weird on the Economist front! That’s so grim!

My ex used to buy a cigar from behind the bar (when that was a thing) and then sit there puffing away and going on about his “fine cigar”. It was not a fine cigar, it was a shitty one (probably Hamlet).

He was 22 or 23 at the time.

Becuriousnotjudgemental1980 · 06/06/2026 17:52

Had a wanky tattoo with a girls name underneath. Told me it was his dead cousins name. Turns out it was his very current girlfriend’s name. 🤦🏻‍♀️

No way! Like, bunny hops? Not just stamping his foot? They were REALLY loud thuds. I literally thought someone was on the roof. (To be fair, he described them as bunny hops. I didn't actually see it!)

Yes. Well he did both, to be fair. I could write a book. Just about him. And another one about all the others who have unfortunately darkened my towels at any given time.

One woman left me because she didn't want to commit to me, as it would mean leaving her football team. There were football teams near me of course, that she could've joined. But she wanted to stay with her own team. I mean, fair enough? But she strung me along for several years with excuses of why she couldn't move in with me just yet, keeping me dangling. I was fed up of long distance.

Eventually she admitted it. I wouldn't mind, but I had never known a team as rubbish as them. The last match I was dragged to went to, they were beaten 20-1. I thought I was watching the rugby going by the scores. Had she been down to play for Manchester United or something I may have understood. She's too old to play now and has been single ever since I finally decided enough was enough. I had actually relented to moving to her end of the woods and had put an offer in on a house! When she admitted that the main reason she did not want to move to me was football. I decided that whereas I am not perfect, nor am I a supermodel, that I was worth a tad bit more than being second fiddle to a shite football team.
