That made you think - what a knob! And that you are well rid of them!

lighthearted thread -

I’ll go first -

Recently my ex changed his profile picture to this wanky AI generated image of him in the middle with a halo and two angels either side… he actually gave himself a halo 🤣 What a knobhead! Like he was Jesus 😳(He was a massive narcissist. My ex. Not Jesus)

I was dating a guy on and off for 8 years - by the end was more on than off but we lived in different cities so we saw each other about once per week. Found out on Twitter (then) he got MARRIED by seeing a post from his best man. blocked him after unloading my spleen. years later I got an email from him titled 'healing' as he'd been to therapy and claimed to be a better person who wanted absolution.

He still didn't say sorry he got married - said he was sorry he didn't tell me 'things were happening over there'. stewed for a few days then sent a short acerbic response calling him out for being a coward and saying I hope he becomes the person his therapy wants him to be. TWAT.

He would go out and buy something special to eat then come home and announce "I've got my snacks for the football game." He never asked me if I wanted anything.

Ngl...I'd have been tempted to drag my heels just enough in that divorce

And stood up when they asked if there were any impediments.

Porterpoets · 03/06/2026 21:46

Before we broke up we’d booked a very expensive holiday together and paid 50/50, but it was all done in my name (he was crap at planning, booking, organising). Afterwards we agreed that he’d send my half of the cash and go away with his mum instead, which I agreed to.

He sent the money, I sent the booking confirmation/ details over email. He replied to my email with something to the effect of ‘Now f off and die you b! Burn in hell… Hope i never see you again…’ blah blah blah. Sheepishly followed up two hours later with a very polite request to resend the email as he’d deleted it permanently by mistake…

Oh how I laughed!!!!

I discreetly forced him into premeditated wankerism.

When DD was in primary school, they all had to draw two pictures in art. A company came in and framed all the pictures and held an art gallery after school that parents were invited to view. Naturally you were pressured to buy the pictures at an extortionate price.

DD is absolutely rubbish at art. Her pictures were they usual style of pin on the fridge for a week then sneak it into the bin. I was ushered into the art gallery and pressured into buying the pictures but I didn't have any money with me. It was on again the following evening, so I said maybe we could come back.

My ex was picking her up after we got in from school and I suggested she took him to see her pictures. He popped her back to school and she said I was going to buy them tomorrow. He deliberately bought them to stop me buying them.

I knew he'd do that, so I got out of buying the pictures and DD was happy as someone bought them.

Brilliant.

i don’t know how they thought of it, but my DDs did similar with their Dad when they were 12.

He was visiting them because there was a family wedding coming up and they were going with his parents. Events like that brought him out of the woods for a couple of months.

He collected them from school on the Friday, took them to their grandparents, saw them at the wedding Saturday, took them to their swimming lessons Sunday and then demanded to drop them at school Monday instead of the GPs. In that timescale he paid for the school residential trip (I was paying by instalments), the next terms worth of swimming lessons and bought them a membership for a local roller skate place… all because the girls “accidentally” mentioned that they had overhead DH (I wasn’t married to him yet) offering to pay for them because he was going to do it for his DS.

When I asked them they just said “well he’s going to vanish again…” with a shrug. Their Granny, his mum, nearly injured herself laughing when she found out.

😲

Yup! My mouth dropped open when she told me what he was doing! How the hell do you tell a new girlfriend the truth??
what a muppet!

Not me, thankfully, but a girl I knew - her ex husband advertised himself on dating sites as being an animal lover and in his ‘dream job’ working with animals…
He was a slaughter man in the local abattoir!😱

I also dated (for about three weeks) a man who had been trying unsuccessfully to write a play for about 15 years. He then said (after three weeks) that he didn’t want to see me again as I was distracting him from writing his play 😂 it’s great when you hear that bullet whistling past…!

juldan · 03/06/2026 21:35

Demanded 50/50 childcare split on divorce and then kept going on holidays with his new girlfriend on the weeks DC were supposed to be with him, without even mentioning it to me. I was just expected to pick up the pieces. My older one was a uni student but the younger one was still at school.
Got outraged when I had enough and went to CMS and claimed maintenance as he was not providing any money for the extra weeks the younger DC was with me. Well, he gave DC £10 to cover three weeks stay.
I was apparently unreasonable and was going to make him homeless as he wouldn’t have enough for the bills if he had to pay maintenance. Funnily enough CMS disagreed with his calculations.

Two things. The very wankiest was getting a matching tattoo with his new wife, (the OW) of an infinity symbol. I wouldn't care but he professed to hate tattoos and said they were chavvy when married to me. 🤔

The other wanky thing was taking his new wife to the Maldives for their honeymoon. Guess where we went for our honeymoon 20 years earlier? Yup, the Maldives. 🙄

Snap! My ex has taken his girlfriend to holiday resorts - even the same hotels - that we went to as a family for years on end.

MrSchubertWhiskers · 03/06/2026 21:32

Lunde · 03/06/2026 16:38

My ex-h booked a church wedding to the OW and a full reception for 60 people .... when we weren't divorced!

In the end the Decree Absolute came through about 6 or 7 days before the wedding.

Ngl...I'd have been tempted to drag my heels just enough in that divorce

Moaning5 · 03/06/2026 21:31

Mine emergrated to Thailand when I was 6 months pregnant !

That’s not the best bit - he started posting photos online of the view from his condo - gorgeous beachy sunsets 😭
He didn’t live near a beach tho, he lived in a crumby town.
Knobhead !

YourZippyLion · 03/06/2026 21:29

My ex was quite racist, hated immigrants “taking our jobs” voted out of the EU etc, 3 months after we spilt he met an Eastern European lady, has been dating her for years now. Raised a lot of eyebrows between our friends.
Our teens don’t bother with him now, but I used to chuckle when they’d share that her parents were over from home country, didn’t speak any English and spoke in native language all evening whilst their dad sat there in silence 🤭

Flomingho · 03/06/2026 21:27

This was back in the 1990s.

My ex went on a lads holiday to Magaluf not long after we had split up. When he got back he came round to my house to show me the holiday photos and to see if I would like copies of any.

Um no, you''re OK thanks.

He accused he of having no sentimental feelings about him. He was right.

Twat.

Thats mad!! On what planet would anyone want photos of the ex on a lads holiday?😅🤣

Saracen · 03/06/2026 21:10

I was 18 and had been with my BF for six months. He announced he was spending a year abroad. There was no discussion of our future together, so of course I assumed we'd broken up. This idea was confirmed in my mind when his occasional letters and phone calls bragged about all the girls falling over themselves to go on dates with him.

A few months later he turned up on my doorstep. "Abroad" had not been a happy place. He admitted the dates had been fictitious. He'd been lonely. Could we pick up where we left off? Well no: I'd acquired a new boyfriend in the meantime.

My ex had been so sure I'd take him back that he'd missed the last train. It was a dangerous neighbourhood, so I let him stay and sleep on my sofa. He then proceeded to give me the lurid details of how he'd cheated with his best friend's girlfriend while abroad.

What a catch, eh?

Doggymummar · 03/06/2026 21:09

Mine (15years divorced after 10ywar years relationship) still has the same profile picture across social media as he had when we met ,. Him at 30. Hes 60 in December. If he's online dating it will be his dating profile too

OneGentleFinch · 03/06/2026 21:08

Posting tiktoks of her doing poses and flexing and doing dances wiggling her (non-existent, may I add) bum at the camera. She's 43 and a butch lesbian. It's ridiculous.

Honestly, this sounds hilarious though. Lea de Laria pole dancing...

What are the wankiest things your ex has ever done?

A player ex-work colleague of mine aged 40
years old got a girl pregnant. She had the kid. Cheated on her the whole time. Then when the kid was one year-old, he got her best friend pregnant. He ran off when his 2nd kid was about 1. He’s with a 3rd woman now - someone from his running club.

He’s basically good looking, looks years younger, and rich. He’s got women throwing themselves at him. He’s an absolute player. I can’t see him slowing down with age. He’s an absolute Narc.

I told him he’ll be penniless & lonely when he’s 80
with kids he never sees who he has to pay for.

I can see that happening, he’s already getting bitter.
