To wonder why so many male migrants have committed sexual assaults:even if they are evil people, wouldn't staying in the UK be an incentive to abide by the law?

I KNOW that plenty of the men who come are not evil and don't want to commit sexual assault. But clearly a number who have come are, and there's strong evidence that male migrants are disproportionately lileky to do so.

This almost surely at least partly caused by misogynistic culture in various areas meaning back home they perceived uncovered women as permissible to assault. But surely they know it's different here? That they will likely be caught? They are at least more likely to be punished here for assault.

Or are they convinced our police system will let them off?

Or they're not aware our norms are different?

Or just don't care about the consequences?

I wonder also if criminals are in a sense selected for since they may have little to tie them to their home countries, or even be escaping punishment there.

Backwards culture incompatible with the west. There are European nations who do have clear per capita state on SA. The data is clear. I think we have data here as well.

People need to stop ignoring the issue that exists.

We should learn from Germany and Sweden and not follow the same path- the consequences of importing men with very different values is awful for the women on the streets. Best case scenario near where I work is that they shout at me for having a dog. I shouldn’t have to accommodate them - it’s ok to have pets in the UK. They are always sleazing on women in our town and nobody walks alone unless it’s a 2 min walk between the gym/shopping centre and the bus.tube.

Edited

How dare they shout at you for having a dog! If they want to live here, they should accept that the British love dogs and other pets. The country has been too soft, they should be made to learn and accept the culture here. As for sleazing on women to the point nobody walks alone, just disgusting.

Because the narrative goes that if you don't agree then you are obviously far right and racist.

We are not importing people ffs - they’re not cattle -,with asylum we are meeting our obligations under UNCHR, other international laws, and even abiding by our own case law on the matter.

I mean I could go on and say we hardly helped matters in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq lately but that’s too big a concept here I think.

If you’re talking about legal migration we are still not ‘importing’ - people apply to come here, for various reasons, and they are granted entry or refused.

Yes we do need to integrate people better.

Well - you do you and ignore all the data, information etc on Afghanistan under the Taliban.

Please note I am specifically discussing the state of affairs there in this instance and not the rights/wrongs of immigration.

You could hold 2 thoughts in your head at once if you tried - maybe.

I’m perfectly capable of holding 2 thoughts but that does not mean this. Afghan men are hideously misogynistic and their country comes out time and time and time again as the worst in the world for women who are treated like dirt. I make NO apologies for blaming THE MEN for how THE WOMEN are treated.

And yes they are cowards who ran away when given the best opportunity to defend their country that they had ever had. Because they don’t give a shit.

They won’t listen to you, they don’t care, it doesn’t fit the narrative which women are the price of propping up

I know! Its a left wing bloody fantasy where the whole world thinks like elite, educated ,progressive ,white people. Its hilarious and tragic as I used to think the same way before actually living in a few of the countries and coming back so grateful that I was born a woman in the west and not in those hell holes!

Posts like this are such a trigger for me, it makes me feel like being abused as a child by a white english man is minimised, that its only migrants who do such things. The problem is men.

Then you need to reframe because people are allowed to discuss other types of sexual offending despite your sad experience, which I’m sorry to hear of.

Sorry, are you actually saying people from certain countries have very low IQs? Am I really reading that right?

Absolutely - but its a reflection of many factors:

  • malnutrition affecting development
  • poor education
  • western testing methods

Its not necessarily a reflection of underlying potential/capacity, its focussed on a very academic system.

Why are we bringing in people who need the law explaining to them. What is the obligation that the country has to import people and then teach them this stuff.

Because the system is incredibly male centric. And women and girls as collateral as a kind of vetting system is not important.

Are there actually people in this country that don't believe there are cultures that, at best, see women and girls as second class class citizens?

Wow.

Yes, look at misogyny in white British culture for instance. Women and girls are treated like crap. Raped. Abused. Murdered. The police do rock all about it and perpetrators, in the unlikely event they are brought to justice, get incredibly lenient sentences. Massive cultural problem.

A clear and harrowing account explaining why so many Afghani men want to leave and find a better future for their families. We were complicit in screwing their country up for 20 years before handing it back to the Taliban and abandoning them to their fate.

After the Soviets had spent the decade prior to the end of the USSR attempting to conquer Afghanistan. Not many trying to find asylum in Russia.

There are more non-migrant men attacking women in this country by far.
Our own men were raised here with our "values" and entire education system and free healthcare. They haven't seen active warfare, famine or homelessness and displacement like many migrants have. You should be asking why so many of our own hurt women.

Another poster that can't grasp the concept of per capita.

Don’t worry - I am not embarrassing myself.

Many Taliban were in prison/ended up in prison at the time of the war. Plus you really think the Afghan men left can match the US military plus NATO support against thousands more Taliban just released from prison? Now that is embarrassing!

FFS! None of the men I worked with knew what the law was! No one had told them. When I explained it to them in detail they actually couldnt believe it and thought I was making it up!!! Also, Im a woman so why would they listen to me?

I witnessed loads of domestic abuse in family accomodation and the prepetrator would clearly explain that his wife has her period so was being difficult and why am I interfering with his family life?? They were genuinely perplexed. This is after the law was explained. One family was middle class Jordanians!! Its not just Afghans ,it anyone who comes from a country where women are second class citizens. Do we really want to import this? In addition, it cost 10k to get to the UK on a small boat. 10k!! Money which could have been spent applying for a work visa.

It’s not an “encounter” if one person is under 16 and the other isn’t, it is assault. I really do believe most females are under 16 when they experience some type of sexual assault for the first time. It might be minor - Iwas 14 when I had my bum groped by a man at the funfair, but it’s still sexual assault.

I agree with you that its likely that more assaults happen to women when they are under sixteen than when they are over....I don't have the stats though.
But if you re read the post i quoted and the one that they quoted, what it actually said was that MOST FEMALES are assaulted or have "sexual encounters" as children and that I do not believe.

Umm I have to object to this.

Did you see the fall of Kabul? Did you see how the Taliban, under Trump’s arrangement, took control of Afghanistan?

Have you any, any idea of how the Taliban behave to whom they consider traitors?

It is simply not true the men left women and children then - many, even most, families who could get out/assistance from other countries stayed together. Of course many ran - anything to escape torture from the Taliban when there was no chance of winning - but many ran in family groups - some hoped if they ran then their family may possibly just be safer as well.

Nowadays any family requesting passports will only get so many - not all. Not that they can book travel. Women can’t travel without a man - I mean anywhere not just onto a plane - the men have the best, even only, chance of getting out. Afghanistan bordering countries are going to be no better for women/families escaping either.

So? The British Army fought them despite how ‘scary’ they are but Afghan men won’t to save their own wives and daughters? They’ve fucked their women over for generations stop embarrassing yourself trying to excuse it

50sandFabulous · 03/06/2026 09:23

And just to add also, I think that men from those cultures may try to present as respectable, but given half the chance they will attack.

Lara Logan found this out when she was reporting in Egypt. Her attack was utterly horrifying. Hundreds of men dragged her into the crowd and molested her, digitally raped her, and they also tried to rip her to shreds literally, by pulling all her limbs in opposite directions. They tore out all of her blonde hair. Hundreds of men - and no one objected. She was eventually rescued by a gang of women. She was hanging onto life by a thread.

We allow men here from that culture, and let them live alongside our young women. What could possibly go wrong? I have been saying this for years. I knew this would happen. I knew it. It amazes me that the Government didn't see this coming.

It's like allowing a fox into the chicken coop, because we are afraid of offending the fox.

50sandFabulous · 03/06/2026 09:14

They have lived in a country where women are covered from head to toe, so they are seeing for the first time : bare legs, lots of cleavage, pretty faces, long hair uncovered (blonde probably exciting, as never seen before).

They come from countries where women have no rights.

They come from countries where rape isn't a crime.

If they venture out late at night, in a City, they will have access to lots of women who are drunk, who will find it hard to fight off an attacker.

They can see from the news, that even if you get caught, and then convicted of rape, the sentence is non existent, or, even if you do go to jail, the jail is probably not that bad an option, as it'll be nicer than where they came from, they will get a roof over their head and 3 square meals a day for FREE.

AND

Many will be virgins, and those that aren't virgins haven't had sex for a VERY long time - they will be about as horny as it gets. Sexual urges and the raging horn, plus an erection in his pants, will override all common sense, in that moment.

I mean, how many times do men follow their dicks, without all the other stuff thrown in? We've seen it time, and time again, without all the extra factors listed above.

Yes, and throw porn into the mix... men from a simple village background probably see things like "Fake Taxi Driver" as a documentary.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 03/06/2026 09:16

That depends on whether they respect the law.
Those who commit these offences, foreign and local nationals don’t respect the law or women, they hope to get away with it too.
They are evil people who don’t care about others regardless of their race.
They are still a minority in society (I hope) the laws need to be changed and enforced. Proper sentencing for any violent crime, no sob stories about a bad past etc.
