If you are Reform are you ok with this repulsive man potentially becoming an MP and representing women in parliament?

Robert Kenyon, the “cheeky local chappie” who is standing for Reform in Makerfield is on record as making some shockingly sexist comments and statements. Reform are standing by him.

Can I ask the women on here who are Reform voters if they are ok with the him remaining a candidate given what I cite below. Btw I am absolutely not, but I’m not and never will be a Reform voter for a variety of reasons.

  1. Retweeting a post about performing a (graphic description) of a sexual act on Carol Voderman.
  2. He has attacked women as being promiscuous and accused them of taking any decision to have an abortion lightly. He wrote, “reproductive rights, women's rights, they can dress it up all they want.
  3. They're deciding to kill a baby inside the womb. What they mean is they want to shag anyone they want. And if they get caught, they get a second chance and treat it as a secondary, last form of contraception.”

Either you think this is ok (don’t understand how anyone let alone a woman could be ok with it) or presumably you’ll be contacting Tice and Farage etc to drop him.

Interested in your thoughts.

Sexist, racist, some just really bloody stupid but they still get voted in. It's all about the boats innit?

Christ this is some people’s answer to literally every political question isn’t it? Like a speak and spell machine.

”At least he knows what a woman is.”

Hoorah for people who know what a woman is and still believe women don’t have the right to birth control. Not.

Or abortion. Or rights from the Human Rights Act.

All political parties seem to be equally bad at the moment. The nutters are taking over from every side. Where are the politicians who stand up for normal, law abiding, hard- working people?

Clavinova · 27/05/2026 18:37

I understood he would like to bring the cut-off date down to 22 weeks for normal pregnancies - I think I agree with him. Most of Europe have cut-off dates as low as 12 or 14 weeks.

And, trying to point score is your only concern?

No, the Telegraph ran an article yesterday warning us of Andy Burnham's 'true radical Left-wing views'.

Did it now? Do you think it was impartial?

Clavinova · 27/05/2026 18:37

Happyjoe · 27/05/2026 18:20

Semantics. He's against latter stage abortions. So even with a risk to mum, he's against it.

So, no matter the risk to mothers is perfectly acceptable.

And, trying to point score is your only concern? No wonder this country is fucked.

That certainly does happen, agreed, but I think with crimes of Kenyon’s magnitude, any other party would have him out the door so quick his arse wouldn’t touch. They wouldn’t be defending him, even initially.

Of course they will
Peter Mandelson hung out within the worlds biggest sex abuser😂 considered him a dear friend and took money from him for his partner

They tried to keep him in place at the most important diplomatic post their is until it got to much shit at thrown

Kenyons tweet Is bad but nothing compared to what PM did and how labour tried to hide it sack people till they had no one left to sack 😂

DaisyDooley · 27/05/2026 17:56

I didn’t say anything about support.
I said he knows what a woman is -which is more than Andy Burnham or whoever represents the Greens.
Or the Lib Dem’s.
By knowing what a woman is -one would assume - that he supports women’s sex based spaces/jails/hospital wards/sports/refuges would be for women only which frankly is a huge win compared to the other parties.
I could never and will never vote for a candidate or party who supports men accessing women’s spaces or services. Ever.

Every misogynist in the world knows what a woman is.
Rapists know what a woman is.
The government of Afghanistan know what a woman is.
What reason do you have to suppose this particular misogynist would have women's interests at heart?
He won't have any influence at all over women's single sex spaces. Nor need he. The SC has spoken.

@BIossomtoes I don't think anyone believes those figures, as there are so many people unaccounted for.

Like it or not, the fact remains that while tax payers are waiting years for outpatient appointments, and boat arrivals are housed and fed from day 1, people will vote for someone who'll stop it. It astounds me that politicians can't see this. It's like Nazi Germany. Watching a car crash in slow motion, and doing nothing to stop it.

And that’s always the response when the facts don’t fit someone’s narrative - the figures are false. I bet you wouldn’t be questioning the figures if they said net migration was now double the level in 2024.

LuckyHazelFox · 27/05/2026 18:04

Nah, just the usual pile on by all the posters who are on every Reform thread. There are some sad bastards who do nothing but think about Reform. It's like no other party has bad apples.

Has any other party have as many bad apples though?

WildEnergySupplier · 27/05/2026 18:24

He's vile.

If I was in Makerfield I'd be voting for Andy Burnham - who will make a fantastic prime minister.

So if the figures had been really high, I bet you would've believed them.

Honestly. The idiocy around now.
It's not the people on boats who are responsible for the state of the hospitals. You've been taken in.

Happyjoe · 27/05/2026 18:22

Johnogroats · 27/05/2026 17:27

I don’t live there so no skin in the game. But I really don’t think a sexist misogynist has a place anywhere near parliament.

How very dare you have some standards!! Grins. Do you not understand it's the boat people? It's all anyone cares about. I think they're in for a big shock if Farage gets in.

They only get rid of them when the public really get mad
they normally try to brush it under the carpet with “ I have upmost confidence in Xxx “
then 2 weeks later Xxx is gone 😂

Clearly nobody’s told Reform voters that net migration is now at its lowest level since 2012. Or that the party that preceded the current government decimated public services through lack of investment. The wrong people are being blamed here.

OP if you're genuinely interested in the perspectives of others (and not just wanting to have a go a Reform voters on MN because you don't have access to the actual Reform MPs) - this is my view.

I've never voted Reform and I doubt I ever will. But this is ALL about immigration.

Services are stretched to the limit in this country, schools and the NHS are overwhelmed, police don't come out to burglaries etc etc - you know the issues. Meanwhile, we hear daily about the cost of processing asylum seekers, housing them, providing immigrants with life's necessities while taking years to decide if they're allowed to stay here. Court/prison costs of punishing immigrant criminals, as if we didn't have enough home grown ones.

Rightly or wrongly people associate their own lack of money/services with immigrants and asylum seekers, and they don't like it. And the only party who seem to take this issue seriously is Reform.

Most Reform voters don't actually know any of their other policies. But even if they knew and disliked them, they're prepared to make the sacrifice, to reduce immigration.

Successive governments have ignored this massive issue. It was the undoing of the Tories, and it'll be the undoing of Labour too.

I mostly agree with you on this
and reform has made it clear that they won’t rejoin the Eu
and seeing that Spain just gave 500k illegal immigrates a “ temporary visa “ that’s another reason for many to vote reform

i wouldn’t vote for them ( I think) but i do agree with some of their immigration policies

i do like Kemi B
but I think she is tainted by her party being pretty crap

i absolutely love watching her in PMQT

Stop the boats. Stop the scapegoating. Bastards.

Stop the boats

BBC
Almost 1,000 migrants crossed the English Channel over the bank holiday weekend.

BunfightBetty · 27/05/2026 18:14

Kenyon is clearly an utterly repellent disgrace of a man who isn't fit to fill the office of MP. It beggars belief that anybody could vote for him

I'm feeling quite thankful I don't live in Makerfield. Imagine having to choose between the vile misogyny and racism of Reform, the misogyny and antisemitism of the Greens, the misogyny and all-round cluster fuck of this inept current iteration of Labour, and the misogynist Lib Dems.

As a centre Left voter I would find myself in the extraordinary position of coming to the conclusion that currently the Tories under Kemi look like the best bet. Yet they were a disaster in government and I've never voted Tory in my life....

Our current political landscape is the absolute worst - by far - that I've ever known it. At a time when we need top-tier calibre politicians to get us out of the mire we're in, against a backdrop of difficult global circumstances.

What a time to be alive.

This post feels a bit of a labour spin post - let's focus on the issues with the other candidates to draw attention away from the comments made by Burnham in favour of biological men being in women only spaces.

So what are you suggesting? That because the Labour candidate said four years ago he believed women who objected to biological men in their spaces were a minority, and has since said his opinion has changed, we should talk only about that, and not discuss the disgusting misogyny of the Reform candidate, or indeed, the anti semiticism of the former Green candidate?

Clavinova · 27/05/2026 18:04
