He’s been married for about 15 years!

He’s actually lovely,
Funny, a good listener and intensely private -but he’s great with fans and will pose for pictures & give autographs no matter how long it takes.
Charlotte is also lovely.
He had a drug problem before he was famous and had to do things he’s neither ashamed nor proud of to finance his habit.

I obviously don’t know the man so I have no idea whether he’s a misogynist or any of the other things he’s been accused of being on here, and he’s a bit posh for me, so definitely not my cup of tea, but I do know that he publicly apologised to Charlize Theron and that she has since said positive things about him, and that Helen Mirren just stuck a post on social media saying she loves him now and always.

Both of those women strike me as having the courage of their convictions and being able to stand by their opinions if they thought he was a massive arsehole.

Someone above mentioned Tobey Maguire- he doesn’t have the best rep either. Maybe Charlize Theron has no time for arrogant men, given her upbringing. Good on her.

Because he may just not like Charlize because he doesn't like her, not soley because of her sex. He has co-starred with countless women. Watch his interactions with Jessica Chastain, who sang his gentlemanly praises.

A misogynist would treat EVERY female co-worker like shit because he has a problem with all women.

People don't always get along. Somebody can be difficult or have personality clashes with others without being a misogynist, especially actors/musicians/artists.

He hasn't broken the law, he hasn't harmed anybody, he's acknowledged he can be difficult and talked about previous struggles/issues. Nobody's perfect.

Watch his stuff or don't, it's up to you but it's weird you're spending 10 plus pages on mn trashing somebody you've never met / will never know the whole story on to be honest. There's plenty of other ways to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon.

The crap in papers is one thing. A thread asking if you think it's true Hardy is difficult to work with would be one thing. Many actors are; he himself has said he is. That's fair game. It's also possible that some of that could be due to anxiety and depression which he suffers from.

But you didn't just do that. You began with possible misogyny and moved on to his marriage being over, that the reason for this was because he's gay really, and he's back on drugs.

Just because someone earns their living in the public eye you think it's ok to make vile insinuations. For all you know, his lovely wife might be on bloody MN and read your shit.

He has a long standing rep for keeping people waiting and holding up productions. A friend of mine was a location manager for something TH was in a few years ago and he had some choice language about TH’s unprofessional behaviour and timekeeping. He would happily not work with him again.

You're not just speculating, though, are you? There's been insinuations about his sexuality, his marriage, that he's back on drugs. All because of some nonsense about one TV show in a shit rag that's been picked up by other media and mostly since discredited.

I’ve never heard anything bad about Tom Hardy before this tbh. I think he is a brilliant actor. We’ll never know the full truth.
