British behaviour in holiday hotel

We are staying at a good all inclusive resort (yes, I know all inclusive is not high end, but this is about as good a one as you can get). I am just shocked and ashamed at fellow british people at breakfast time. Letting their kids make a huge mess by allowing them to get their own food. Huge amounts of wasted food. Multiple untouched plates left on tables. Total disregard for others barging round, blocking walkways etc. When did this become ok?? AIBU with expectations? Bear in mind this is not a cheap rubbish tui-blue type place. I dread to think what they are like!

Isn't that just for premium users? And how would a quick search prove anything. It would just prove that you have both posted before

I am not that poster.

The worst I've seen was a French man who was honking snot out of his nose in the pool.

Ugh! Why....

We are currently in a nice resort in the UK (estimate about 75% british occupancy). I haven't seen any young children helping themselves to the breakfast buffet without parental supervision so it seems surprising that you see this is a feature of brits staying in hotels

Because they are not Brits abroad. They are in their own country. People behave better in their own country , as the liklihood of bumping into someone they knowing is higher

You both need to get a room, of one kind or another. But take it away from here

Is that a room with half board and a balcony view?!

See again bit weird when a quick search would show you otherwise

Yes they are. Another poster on here told goldenbear that she was being strange and ridiculous.

Let me guess -you are goldenbear's second account?

I was thinking this. I recently had a beautiful holiday in a Tui blue. The people in the restaurant were very well behaved, too; even the Brits. 🙄

I am glad that you had a nice holiday!

You are being really weird. I don’t think other people are seeing what you’re seeing in these posts

I'm concerned about you perhaps leave the thread as you are full of prejudices that are deeply disturbing

Please don’t call TUI blue type places cheap and rubbish. They are still over £3k for a holiday and is the best that people can afford - don’t shit on others!

Go away golden earth. Your posts are unhinged and disturbing. I said I do not want to talk to you anymore.

Disturbing? In what way? I'm really disturbed by your xenophobic responses.

Goldenbear · 26/05/2026 22:15

Scarlettjune · 26/05/2026 22:11

@goldenbear go away now. I am bored of talking to you.

Mumsnet is a public forum, what nationality are you from where you think you can tell people what to do! Don't worry, even if you stated it I wouldn't believe lazy stereotypes about your collective bossiness.

Scarlettjune · 26/05/2026 22:14

Goldenbear · 26/05/2026 22:13

This doesn't read like you understand it to be a different language more disdain and disgust!

It is not an insult, don't judge me by your own behaviour

Scarlettjune · 26/05/2026 22:02

Ah how you like speaking for other people! You are very arrogant!

If you had asked me, I did know it was another language. I didnt know what it meant and I asked you what it meant. You didn't reply. I presume, from your overall behaviour, that it's an insult

Scarlettjune · 26/05/2026 22:03

Show me where on mumsnet it says that we are not allowed to reply to posts directed at another poster.

Oh yes, you made that up too

It’s a bit weird tho.

hahabahbag · 26/05/2026 22:08

The one thing I like about the TUI hotels is there’s a good mix of nationalities and everyone is friendly, Germans, Dutch, Belgiun’s, the nordics, but also Spanish, Italians, Irish of course… German v British silent disco was fun as was German vs British rep dance off… no drunkenness that I saw, nothing beyond just having a good time

Scarlettjune · 26/05/2026 22:07

Goldenbear · 26/05/2026 22:06

You speak for all apparently, all of the world who collectively dislikes the Brits. Hilarious when you don't even recognise languages that aren't English.

Where did I not recognise a language that isn't English?

I wrote above that I did know that it was another language,

Have you been drinking? Your posts don't make any sense
