Why does David Beckham need to be seen everywhere?

He's into gardening and bee keeping apparently, and mates with the King.
I don't mind him. Preferable to the likes of the no talent reality TV lot.

Fully agree that he is gunning for National Treasure status. I'm sure I read somewhere that he basically paid/lobbied for his honour.

Whether you like him or loathe him, the fact is that he was part of a group that had input into a garden for the Chelsea Flower Show, on behalf of the King’s Foundation. Clearly, the hard work of design and planting was done by Frances Tophill, with input from the others, Alan Titchmarsh in particular. Nevertheless, there was input from King Charles and from David Beckham.

You don’t have to be a fan to see that there was collaboration; the majority of the effort being from the people who are professional horticulturalists.

I'm sorry but he may have been a good footballer but his attitude on the football pitch was disgusting.
He is a known cheat and womaniser.
He had a hissy fit when he was passed over on the honours list and so revealed that all his so called charity work was about his social ambitions rather than any good he might do.
And he really really is so love with himself it's a total then off.
And the endless coverage in the media of him and his entitled but boring family would be laughable if wasn't so tedious.

Need I go on? I think you will have realised I can't stand the man. But you are right in that there are lots of obnoxious people who are the face of advertising campaigns. Fortunately I don't know enough about them to be quite as annoyed by them as I am by Beckenham.

Brand Beckham everywhere all the time. In your face and hopefully in your wallet.

Also does poor harper bless her ever go to school. She always seems to be dragged here and there.

Maybe he has to do it as part of the deal he agreed when he sold Brand Beckham to some investors for ££££££.

He's the definition of thirsty. The need to be front and center is weird. He's also had work done on his face and it looks puffy and tight. I had no opinion before, now he's everywhere. For someone so well off, the need for validation is odd.

I agree with you. Whilst I do think he is absolutely gorgeous to see him simpering over the King makes me sick.

I like him! Good on him for doing his charity work. Tbf, he could do more philanthropy (read a lovely thing about Jack Johnson this morning - wish all the millionaires had his sense of community).

The David Rose or whatever it was called, I "urghed" when I saw his new face this morning, he would turn up to the opening of an envelope.

He is so contrived. He was outed saying the honours committee were a bunch of “c*nts” after repeatedly overlooking him for a knighthood due to his well known dubious tax affairs, and now he has finally made it, he is attempting to restyle himself as squeaky clean friend of the king countryside lover and beekeeper. Well he owns a pad in the Cotswolds but I doubt he really tends to his bees unless he’s being filmed, and I expect he employs a skivvy. His self-produced documentaries about him and Vic are just a massive marketing job - not one mention of the literally 1000’s of extra-marital affairs he has had!
He is reportedly seen out and about at events snogging various women still but NDA’s abound.

The inauthenticity of it is what I can’t stand. And they are training up their kids to repeat.

So he needs to hide away and come up only when required? I am neutral on him so dont care either way what he does but i presume he gets filmed by the photographers and doesn't request it himself?

What are some of you all watching that he’s ‘everywhere’?

I’ve only seen his name in my David Austin Roses email about roses named after him and know of him raising bees, and some charity work. Actually seeing him everywhere, social media, on tv, etc, nope.

Starting to think a mix of bots are on a good chunk of threads these days.

It’s to do with the King’s Foundation. He has bees and the beehives in the garden were something he wanted, I believe. I can’t get too bothered about him being at Chelsea. There are plenty of other well known faces who get a free pass every year and don’t have anything to do with gardening, except having one.

i mean i dont mind DB, but im a united fan and a massive spice girl fan 😂 - he wasnt that great a player though 😂 - hes always been around, and at least he has a skill, more than i can say about people on love island et al. Would you rather them?!

I'm more annoyed the way that he and his wife are merching out their teenage DD who never goes to school. I feel very sorry for Harper.

Or maybe he’s just living life to the fullest and people are giving him attention!!
