My child dropped their Fanta bottle at the theatre as soon as they got it. It exploded everywhere. It was expensive. I turned around and asked for another one. It was my childs fault it burst. I had my purse out to pay and the bar staff checked with the manager and gave me one for free without me having to ask (with 4 proseccos I'd paid for!). Shout out to the Palace Manchester!

Sorry, why should they give you a second portion of chips for free? I thought you were going to say your friend said they had been on the floor for less than 5 seconds and so were perfectly edible. That would have been a much more sensible answer. No sorry you pay for your own mistakes and it is a terrible attitude to expect others to pay for your mistakes.

I live about a 3 minute walk from my nearest Sainsburys.. If I went shopping and dropped a 2 pint milk bottle and it went everywhere shall I walk back and ask for a replacement 🙄? as it’s been under 5 minutes!! The audacity of done people 🤦🏼‍♀️

So you were at the food hall at 8 pm, had food there to survive the journey home and then you made brown rice and spinach stew for your toddler (because at 2 they are not a baby) when you got in! What time was your child eating said stew and why weren’t they asleep or going to by bed that time of night?
How about next time you don’t report someone for not pandering to your entitlement and you make sure your child cannot kick over their food because you are not supervising them properly.
Just because head office refunded your money does not mean they thought you were correct in asking for a replacement. It would just be a goodwill gesture, even though they really thought you were being an entitled idiot.

Some places would automatically give a replacement. I have had it happen without asking in the past. Difference is, that I never asked.

I actually don’t believe a refund was given like that immediately after an email. With no ‘investigation’ or them discussing with the staff first. It didn’t happen.
