AIBU to compare pro-Palestine and Tommy Robinson-led protests? Both involve hatred antisemitism or racism and both end up in trouble. Two cheeks of the same ass as I've heard on here before!

Pro-Palestine and Tommy Robinson-led protests this Saturday with yet again thousands of officers having to spend the day controling these protests. Surely there is a better way. Static protest or once a month for Gaza? I think Tommy's lot isn't weekly like the Gaza lot.

Antisemitism is a major problem and general racism also up. Armoured vehicles are needed now with the first time in 15 years to use them. Terror incidents have risen yet what have either of these 'protests' achieved apart from further divisions!

Stick them in separate areas and tell them to stand with their various placards and keep them there. They ave their virtue signalling and hate fuelled moments but stop annoying the rest of us and keep the costs down - it's costing millions of pounds.

Met call up armoured cars as London braces for a day of protests

In a package of measures billed as the toughest ever, 4,000 officers will be deployed to deal with the Tommy Robinson-led Unite the Kingdom rally and a pro-Palestine gathering to mark Nakba Day.

Please don’t try and tell me that I am not aware of the claim about antisemitism on the Marches.

You cannot handle the fact that your antisemitism claims are false…. “you’ve been on some of the Marches”…. why did you go on them?

Because I wanted to show my support for the Palestinian people and believe the Israeli GOVERNMENT are wrong in what they are doing

I have been on a number of marches over the years not just the past few years and not just about Gaza

The Iraq war, NHS, women’s march I believe in democracy I believe that people’s voices can make a change

I don’t believe prejudice has any place on such marches

Wanting the Israeli army to stop killing children doesn't make you antisemitic. It's a view share by many Jews

Agree with this.

You can’t possibly have been at ‘every’ march. They happen worldwide 😂

There have been marches that are near synagogues - I know of plenty in the states from family and read this about today’s protest in London. I don’t know London at all to know how close the routes are to the synagogue mentioned but it sounds like a regular issue if they keep having to have the police alter their planned routes.

and yet you haven’t been aware of it

right ….

the antisemitism is there and it absolutely shouldn’t be

and I’ve been on a few and it became more apparent at first it was shut down

it had no place on the marches fall stop

Baffling how some people think October 7th (horrible as it was) happened in a vacuum.

Baffling to think that launching a large scale terror attack on civilians in Israel would somehow improve the life in Gaza.

HRTQueen · 16/05/2026 22:51

Cheeks4970 · 16/05/2026 22:44

Lies.

Have you been on the marches

I have

and know many others who have who have all witnessed this

but continue with your thinly veiled attacks

Not sure about marching through Jewish areas

but the antisemitism on the marches is shameful

so not marching through a Jewish area
is irrelevant the issue is the outspoken antisemitism that is prevalent and should not be acceptable

What are you needing proof about marching through Jewish areas when it’s now common knowledge just how bad these marches have become

Lies.

inamarina · 16/05/2026 21:36

Why did Hamas attack on October 7th then?
Sure they must have known sneaky Israel would use it as an excuse to build a theme park?

It’s a very messed up world when protesting against genocide makes you anti Semitic. When did believing that blowing up, shooting, burning alive, raping and starving babies, children, women and male civilians make you anti semitic?

It’s doesn’t

but many people use this atrocity to be now more open with their antisemitism a few years ago it was all about banking and finance

just like racists will use their concerns about immigration to make racist statements

its not hard for others to see through this

What on earth are you on about. Have you actually read any of the thread.

The slogans, the placards, the hate speech, the marching through Jewish areas.

Nothing wrong with protests at all. Many have said it countless times, static ones that don't cause fear to Jewish people don't include hate speech, all good.

Edited

You’ve still not been able to show me one route map of a March that went through a Jewish area?

I’m still waiting.

Since when was anti terrorism deemed at hate? Oh dear lord.....

.
..

Since @Cheeks4970 suggested anti terrorism was hatred. Strange, most people dislike terrorists. Even terrorists have supporters

Wolf fleece! There’s another current thread on MN right now, by a woman whose mum keeps buying her wolf-related blankets and jackets - maybe she could donate a few for the march?

Pretty fucking sick hate filled thing to say given what is happening to Jewish people in the UK recently who are not responsible for Gaza.

Anyone who has seen the pro pal marches knows damned well that are not uplifting or useful.

They're just a load of ill educated wokies who view Jewish people through an ethnically white lens and Palestinian people as brown and therefore they simply MUST march for them because good old Jacinta and Rupert simply must express their lack of racism and indulge their white saviour complex.

All they achieve is disruption, wasting public funds and persecuting our British Jewish communities all whilst conveniently forgetting that Hamas murdered people, raped women and beheaded babies, and who would happily oppress Jacinta and Rupert within an inch of their lives at the drop of a hat if they could. Luckily for them they are here in the West so they are just useful idiots to Hamas rather than cannon fodder.

If the events that happened in Israel happened here to a similar percentage of the population, people would be BAYING for blood.

Excellent post well said 👏 Jacinta and Rupert!😂😂
