Parking at school is a nightmare. I’m disabled as is my son so I try to park as close to school as possible although it’s not always possible. Yesterday I found a spot but it looked a little tight for cars getting passed I parked and got out to check. Immediately a women sat in a car opposite says cars won’t be able to get through. I agree and go to get in my car. She say you will have to move, I look at her car parking and she’s left a two foot gap between her car and the car behind . I ask her to move back as that would create a big enough gap. She says no and winds her window up!
i get back in my car and find somewhere in the next street.
Is she an arse?

The school will have an area onsite for deliveries, since both you and your child are disabled can you ask the school for special permission to park in the school grounds?

Someone not doing what you want them to do doesn’t make them an arse if they’re not doing anything unreasonable to start with.

Perhaps she would have been blocked in if she moved back to let another car in. Perhaps she has her own reasons for needing space.

Well if she could have moved back and chose not to then she was being unreasonable.

My local school got the local authority to mark up a designated disabled parking space near enough to the school for this reason.
Maybe you could ask the school to look into this then you’d have the right to park there if you have a blue badge.

I do have a blue badge all the parking is street parking there’s no disabled parking at all
