What size are you if you’re 5’8” and 10 and a half stone?

Posting here for traffic. If you’re 5’8” and around 10st 8lbs what size are you? And what’s your BMI? My bmi is 22 and I’m between a 10 and a 12 but I think I must have a large frame or something cos I thought I’d be an 8-10 at this weight/this bmi

I'm 5'5 and 9.5 stone and I'm a size 8 so yours sounds about right

I’m not sure what category my body shape fits into..I’ve always described myself as a rectangle 🤣 don’t have many curves and narrow hips, average size boobs. I have skinny arms and when I put weight on I carry it all around my middle - giant belly and love handles. Basically more like a middle-aged man shape! I was always skinny and lanky as a kid but have been a size 14 for most of my adult life (and between 12 & 13st). I’ve only recently lost weight. I do a lot of exercise so I’m more solidly built and stronger looking now (although I wouldn’t say muscular- that’s the goal but it’s very hard to get muscular as a woman I’m finding). Since I lost weight people keep saying, “you’ll never be a 10 because you’re tall, so your body’s not built that way”. I think that’s bollocks though, what about all the 6ft size zero supermodels?!

I am you - a rectangle and 5ft 8. I weigh 9st1 and am a size 8-10 (shop dependent). My BMI hasn't changed since I was 21, other than pregnancies, but my fat has redistributed from sub-cutaneous to around the middle (I am approx 50). To keep a flattish belly, I have made my peace with looking a bit gaunt. But I am now weight training as well as running to keep strength, but also definition.

I’m also 5’8” and I weight just under 10 stone. I’m a size 10 on bottoms but usually a size 12 on top due to larger boobs. No way would I fit into a size 8. I would say a size 10/12 is right for your height and weight.

I'm 5'10.5" and hover around 10 and a half stone. I'm a 10-12, depending on brand, sometimes an 8. I'm quite athletic build with quite broad shoulders and big boobs.

Brand sizes are all over the place.

Size 12. I have a straight shaoe body, no hips or boobs and I'm an apple shape, so every pound is on my belly, never my legs or face

I'm a size 12 anywhere between 9 - 11 stone, based on buying from Zara and H&M.

The sizes on me drop rapidly below 9 stone.

I was once, very brielfy, 8 stone and a size 6 from New Look fell off me (due to an unrelated illness).

My body likes being 9.5 stone.

It’s entirely dependent on so many things. I’m 5 foot 3, 15 stone 9 and I’m a size 16-18.

I’m 5 ft 3, just under 12 stone and I’m a 16.

When I was 10 1/2 stone at that height I was about a smallish 12. The skinniest I've ever been. I'm now 12st and size 14

When I was 10.7 stone and 5”7 I was a size 8-10

however I was also doing a lot of exercise and weight lifting so I think it will depend on your body composition

I'm an inch taller and a stone lighter, and my BMI is 19.9.

You can easily figure out your BMI on the NHS calculator.

Sizing is absolute nonsense. I'm a 6 in Primark and a 12 in H&M.

I do and I am? Not an 8 but definitely a 10. Very rarely a 12.

5/7 and 10.4-10.7 and size 12/10 depending on fit. Many dresses /tops are a 10 but trousers /skirts a 12 due to child bearing hips

slightly taller and 8 st 8 I am a size 8. My BMI is not good as it is too low and have been trying to put a bit of weight on. I def am too skinny. Keep the size 8 for the shorter ladies

I'm just under 5’10, 61kg (9 st 10 I think?) size 8 or an XS usually, if it’s long enough. BMI 19. I was around 67 kg for a long time and was more a 10. I do a lot of exercise so am lean with it which probably means smaller clothes sizes, plus a slight build.

I'm 5'8" and weigh 12.5 stone. All my clothes are size 12. I'd definitely be a size 10 at 10.5 stone (not that I'll probably ever stop eating biscuits for long enough to find out though!)

Im 5ft 9.5 and weigh 9 1/2 stone. BMI 20ish. Im size 10 in pretty much everything (occasionally 8 on top but never on bottom!). I’d say Im medium framed. I think you need to be very slight framed to be an 8 if tall.

I'm 5'8" and about 10 stone. I'm a standard 12 in most shops. In cheaper makes I might be a 14. Long Tall Sally, 10. I get more boggled with small and medium sizes tbh. And the sleeves are never long enough in anything apart from LTS.
