Did you vote and how did it go for your party?

Nope because I was part of the vast amount of the country who couldn’t vote. Don’t worry we’ll all be out in force during the next general election when the picture will look very different.

How did the last election go for your party Tory HQ?

EasternStandard · 09/05/2026 10:28

Caro7457 · 09/05/2026 10:24

Don’t make us all laugh. The only Tories that will be happy are those happy for their demise. They’re a non party now, of little political relevance and likely to stay that way under Badenoch.

The tories are happy today. I didn't insult or patronise you - just corrected you.

'Talking a lot of sense' didn't translate very well at the local elections.

Lost councils to the Lib Dems and a fair amount of voters to Reform.

If this was Labour, you'd be calling for her to resign.

Labour did worse, isn't a reason to celebrate.

Exactly this. Labour were second and Tories fourth, not much more than Greens!

You have not read the thread. The OP did insult and patronise me first. Quite a humbling day for the tories, as I predicted.

Labour’s grip on London has reduced. Wales gone for them after 100 years. Losing votes to everyone, everywhere. Starmer looking shaky.

Great stuff.

Good good. I think starmer should stay though. bit of stability. he's good at not moving.

You seem very angry about actual statistics based on previous terrorist attacks. I can't help that the figures don't back up the idea that people are putting their lives on the line everytime they leave the house because there is some crazy Islamist terrorist is waiting around every corner. If people want to live in fear based on minute risks then that's their choice but the truth is important here, 0.000009% is not a 'sizable' risk.

I could ream off many instances of husbands killing their wives and statistically that is far more common than being killed by a terrorist attack but it doesn't mean I am going to agree that your husband is a 'sizable risk' and ask you why you think it's OK to get married to a man, why is it OK for anyone to get married to a man, why is that OK with you 😱 That's just hysterical nonsense and serves no one.

Weird that you interpret my post as angry - I have just asked you a couple of questions. 🤷‍♀️

I’m not sure why you are going on about ‘sizeable risk’ - I have not mentioned that - I asked you about your ‘actual statistics’ and whether they are based on any current level of reality.

With large numbers of people entering the country that include terrorists among their number (plus increasing radicalisation in mosques and online) there is clearly a changing situation. MI5 have changed their threat level to ‘Severe’ so your historical statistics are no longer relevant.

If you have no current data it’s fine just to say that.

Do you understand that the actual threat of terrorism from actual terrorists living in this country is not the same as my husband being statically no risk to my safety?

FloralDeerPattern · 08/05/2026 23:02

CornishDaughteroftheDawn · 08/05/2026 13:19

Oh, that’s interesting- do you have current figures on how many terrorists we currently have in the country?

We know that some have come in on small boats (some have been caught, there are likely more - I mean they’d be silly not to) and some are being radicalised here in mosques and online but I’m not sure even MI5 have good enough numbers to give a statistical risk like that.

Obviously there is something going on as MI5 gave raised our threat level to Severe and we have had several terrorist attacks in recent years.

I’m glad you are so sanguine about the risk levels, maybe you don’t have daughters that like to go to concerts like Taylor Swift or Ariana Grande? Or Christmas markets (a favourite target for Islamist attacks across Europe) and I’m assuming you are not Jewish.

Why are you so happy to accept that we have allowed people to come or settle here that viscerally hate us and our way of life so much so that they want to cause maximum death and destruction? Why is that ok in your mind?

Me too. She's got time before the next GE, which is ideal given where we are. I see Reform are doing very well in the locals - which is great for the Conservatives planning ahead.. Reform councils will have had time to show how incompetent / useless they are / will be. Of course few people will ever vote Labour again so that's a help in the GE. Long-term looks positive for the Conservatives.

Uh?
Reform will blame the previous council (often Tory as well as Labour) and if they do totally mess up, the blame will be attached to the Lab Government and Reform will march on.

Kemi Badenoch should be filling the gap Labour have created with some very poor policies and the obvious dislike of Starmer, she isn't, she is failing to cut through & i know why:
She pretends she wasn't in politics until 2024 but people see through this, she was in Govt for 5 years and supported Liz Truss's economic disaster, a disaster mine and many other pensions have yet to recover from.

Vote share so far, is 16%, Labour 20% and Reform on 27%

The party who have time to change things is Labour, the question is: Will Starmer cling on aka Corbyn or step aside?

I feel bullied by you. Bullies usually don't know they are bullies - that's how it works. I don't report (well I did report one post once, concerning a posters comment on a child) but that's all. Usually I prefer to leave records on show.

Well, the records of what each of us has said are very much on show - I’ll leave it at.

Yes, this is a very serious issue and desperately needs sorting. Having those people in the CS is deeply undemocratic and potentially dangerous.

I believe a core problem for the UK is the politicisation of the Civil Servce (CS). The work of those who adopted the approach of the long march through the institutions as a method of weakening the UK is nearly done.

Regardless of her and indeed her parties stance or statements and indeed those of Reform etc, any policy that does not reflect the aims of the Left will be stopped by the Civil Service. The removal of political neutrality from the CS started in the Universities where the current crop of CS influencers from were trained, has now enabled a blocking of any policy that does not help destory the British way of life. This is reflected in other bodies such as the NHS.
The CS and other public bodies need a good clean out and reminding they are Public Servants.

Yes, this is a very serious issue and desperately needs sorting. Having those people in the CS is deeply undemocratic and potentially dangerous.

If you are a fan girl of "Kemi" why are you waving your hands around like a twat to attract her attention on here?

Shes all over twitter and more likely to see you on there.

The tories will be a fringe party by the end of today. Love that for you.

I don’t know if you realise but but you are coming across as a bit tetchy and insulting.

What is the point you are trying to make?

You wouldn't think that 75% MI5 activities cover Islamist terrorism..

And of the 254 people in prison for terrorism and terrorism-connected offences, around 60% were convicted as Islamist terrorists. (CTP)
