Noah and Jacobi Jupe are sons of Katy Cavanagh (actress) and Chris Jupe (film maker).

Of course there is a benefit in dad and/or mum already having agents and casting contacts.

"Nepo babies" has always been a thing, but in the past i think most of them tried to hide it by using a different surname. Not so much these days as it seems only Nepo babies get on.

Candace Bergen's daughter Chloe Malle just stepped up to head Vogue.

Chloe Malle's father is French director Louis (he also did some acting). Definitely no one "normal" could have stepped into Wintour's shoes at US Vogue.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Lily Rose Depp.

Nor Isabella Rossellini.

Talia Shire is another Coppola, Francis' sister, mother of Jason Schwartman.

George Clooney aunt is Rosemary Clooney. He's also cousin to actor Miguel Ferrer.

Would Kate Moss' daughter Lila even be considered a model without her famous mother??

Actually it does happen in Local Government. My last employer had a head of department’s
son working as the complaints lead for her team (paid on an agency salary). Warnings went around the around the team to be careful what you said as he worked the same room as us mother. Also elevated to a deputy team leader senior position, a close friend of the head of department, followed from the previous Local Authority they worked at. However does not even know the basic legal positions. Another employee again on an agency wage (£60,000) aged 22 no experience her god-mother another senior manager. Did not do any substantial work it was left it to other team members. This why a lot of employees of that team have left, it is toxic and if it becomes public knowledge it would create a PR nightmare due to the nature of the Team.

Yes I have seen it at local government too - tends to be children of the director /chief exec level as the rest of us have to play by the rules .
But they come in to an admin role fresh from uni then magically get promoted swiftly into roles that are often created for them . Or people are bullied out of jobs so the Nepo baby can take their place

In england maybe. In ireland not so much we dont have the same issues. I know people who went to castleknock college who work in normal jobs. Who dont act up. We dont have the same layers the uk has.

There are people in the UK who were educated privately and do normal jobs. I know one who is a nurse and another who works in HR (admittedly for a large corporation and is very well paid). That doesn’t mean private education doesn’t offer an advantage due to small class sizes, more tailored teaching and, more importantly, fostering connections.

Some of these privately educated actors may not be from a rich industry family themselves, but they are well connected (they likely went to school with someone who knows someone…).

PP's have mentioned Dakota Johnson and her grandmother Tippi Hedren (Hitchcock's The Birds and Marnie). Her parents are Don Johnson (Miami Vice) and Melanie Griffith (Working Girl - the worst acting I have ever, ever seen)
