Will you stay up for the MET GALA 2026 tonight?

Anyway - will anyone stay up to watch the red carpet? They dont film the actual gala which is weird but anyway

This year's dress code is: Fashion is Art and the theme is: Costume Art

Celebs are boycotting because Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are going. I mean, what is the point, none of you are good people anyway 😫

Hoping to see Kim K, Rihanna, Beyonce, Law Roach (i dont think Zendaya is going)

I mean Lauren Sanchez looked rather nice and quite classy - that’s not what we want at the Met Gala! We want DRAMA!

I saw Charlie XCX leave the hotel about 10:30 and she's just walked the not red carpet so we'll get a second viewing in about 45 minutes.

Was that Sam Smith in the black feather frock BTW? He/They looked half decent for once.

I think theyre growing out of their old way of dressing thank goodness - havsnt seen thei look yet

I think that as an event it’s lost it’s USP - it feels like it could just be the dress parade at the Oscars, there’s no real fashion innovation or a strong sense of theme anymore, it’s just rich famous women in long, designer dresses…. all a bit meh

I won't stay up, but I'll really enjoy looking at all the outfits on SM tomorrow. I especially love Fashion Critical's responses to all of the looks.

A lot of them will be newer actors - as soon as youre slightly famous, youre in it seems

I'm on Associated Press. Split screen with the hotels and the not red red carpet. It's a bit grainy for close ups of the frocks.
The hotel bit is hilarious - they pose in their fabulous "creation" then stotter in their high heels to board a bus! The alien art one is not going to manage to sit comfortably!
Beyonce was not in the co-host cohort so she is either a no-show or will be making a grand entrance later.
