How many people have you slept with?

I used to know, now I have no idea. Only one or two more than it was at that time but I can't remember the exact number and I can't think of anything worse than trying to tally it up. I wouldn't lie about it but I don't tolerate anyone quizzing me on it. Talking about previous experiences is one thing, trying to put a number on it does nothing but provide a basis for negative judgement. It's a disgusting thing to ask someone.

God, not 100% sure. I know it's more than 10, but fewer than 20. I'm 51, and had 4 long term relationships (from 4-12 years in length.) Only 1 true ONS. I always preferred relationships. I've not had sex in almost 3 years, which was largely on health grounds. I'm single, and wonder if I'll ever decide to try and meet someone again!

2nd was the next boyfriend, once we had (awful) sex the first time I never heard from him. I actually think he was gay.

I regret number 2. Especially since it was so crap.

I was briefly trafficked as a teenager and had poor boundaries prior to that due to childhood abuse, so I don't know, honestly. My husband of nearly twenty years has never cared about the number. That's not what matters to him (and I have no idea how many women he's slept with prior to me either).

If he died and I decided to date again, I don't think I'd want to date a man who was interested in how many people I'd had sex with. The generalities of whether you've had long-term serious relationships or only short-term ones, etc can be useful to know, but not a sex partner number.

Err... go to a GU clinic? Get a full check up. Done that a few times in my life. It's not a big deal. Some checks you can even do and send off yourself.

I just had a think and couldn't really remember accurately... Some relationships, a lot of short flings and a few ONS.. it's between 60-80? I cannot be sure but it's all been a lot of fun. I am faithful in a relationship but if I wasn't in a relationship now I would be still keep adding to the number.. I am 56 and I have genuinely enjoyed a lot of strings free hook up type sex and absolutely have no regrets. I have also never been asked how many by anyone or asked anyone else as I don't think it matters.

I'm 35 and 4. 2 I was dating, 2 were just sex. My own relationship with my looks and body has stopped the number from being higher. It sounds daft, but I wish I had slept with more people when I was younger. One of the ones I slept with abused me, 2 of them were during a crazy time when I was trying to prove that I had power over my own body, and the other is current DP who I've been with for 9 years and can't see myself leaving.

I have no idea!! Not because it is loads, but I've never sat down and counted them. Maybe I should. But....no....I have better things to do with my time.

I'm 60 in June, have been with my wife since 2007, and slept with about 50 women before her. Obviously, only her since, though.

i have zero interest in sex without serious emotional and intellectual attachment. My brain just doesn’t work that way.

I did see him a couple of years later holding hands with a lovely looking girl so he got his happy ending - was genuinely pleased for him. For me the chemistry wasn't there irrespective of willy size anyway.

Also my husband has probably slept with the same, if not more. Neither of us give a shit. Why would I care that he had an active sex life before he met me and vice versa? I wouldn't have married someone who cared about something like that.

He knows my views on casual sex which he agrees with and he knows I had a lot of fun in my youth. As did he.

I’ve slept with five, had full penetrative sex with three. One of those was rape. One was a drunken effort to reclaim my sexuality. The other was my dh of 21 years.

Two stopped short of piv though we fell asleep together - We were all virgins, and enjoying that lovely extended intimacy and foreplay that disappears when you get more experienced.

It’s never come up in conversation. I can’t imagine dh caring - he is fully committed to the concept of equality and probably assumed I was as experienced as him (I don’t know his number either). He does know about the rape because my body couldn’t keep that secret, even though it took me nearly two decades to be able to speak about it.

I have no regrets about the consensual ones. If anything I wish I hadn’t held myself back and had got to experience consensual sex instead of having that violence imprinted onto my body.

Honestly - there are loads of them so not really. I don’t even remember all of their faces so penises? No chance.

In my experience those with higher numbers paid off together. I had a flatmate at uni who was quite the shagger. To the point I had to bang on the wall a few times during exam season… really hard to study with all that going on. My best friend from school who definitely got about a bit came up to see me for a party and they’ve been together ever since! Lovely couple, great fun to be around and they have really sweet kids. I would not want to live next door to them though…

I'm 35, now married, think it's about 25 people? I've never counted exactly though. Could be closer to 30.
