Matcha, leggings with socks over, botox, yada yada yada

So bored of it.

This is nearly every mum in my area, pilates & matcha, botox and handyman & cleaner recommendations. No depth, no real worries..basic.

Aibu to want to meet funny, down to earth mums with depth and interesting pasts and conversations?

I wear socks over leggings, go to Pilates and drink matcha 💀 I feel attacked

However I’m also fun and a good conversationalist, I think it’s a bit judgmental to think those things are mutually exclusive? 😂

I mean those just sound like a few ordinary things that people might do/ have but they’re not going to be anyone’s whole personality. Women (like men) are complex people, made up of a lot more than a few clothing items, a hobby and polite conversation openers.

Take time to get to know people would be my advice.

Maybe you haven’t yet met your people in your area but they will be around, and reducing those who do live near you to a series of stereotypes won’t help.

I’m a Pilates girl, hate matcha (tested it in every city in Japan so can attest) and part of a book club plus have a diverse bunch of friends for example one of my mum friends works at a popular fast food/coffee place and another is a scientist working on some ground breaking gene therapy related drug.

I’m an interesting person who can hold a decent convo hence can attract friends but can you do the same OP?

Also not a fan of Botox prefer retinol.

I really don’t think you’ve said anything that awful; we’re all entitled to our opinion and you’ve expressed yours. However it unfortunately seems that you’ve hit a nerve with some of the sock wearing matcha drinkers out there!

Eh I love matcha and Pilates but I have had a very interesting past and am a fun nice person! How judgemental! Do you feel the same about people who drink coffee and go swimming? That’s how stupid you sound

Might get a pair for my gran to use as bed socks. Just the job. Thanks for the information.. She can let the know on Gransnet.

You can fall in them.

They just prevent you from slipping due to the rubbery/sticky bits on the soles. So if your grans a bit of a floor slider then they’ll do the trick.

From a certified basic Pilates girl in Adanola leggings tucked into my socks. (But matcha is rank! And I only get Botox in my masseter to help with jaw grinding)

I’m a basic bitch wearing leggings and socks right now. I’ve been on a hike and they wash and dry faster than anything else if they get muddy.

I wear them to Pilates with grippy socks (mat, not reformer - I’m not just basic, I’m old school) because I’m the kind of basic bitch that can stand on one leg with the other in the air while my husband fucks me from behind. I could hold an in depth conversation about my hip abductors and flexors for days.

I wear them to my strength class, where I lift heavy weights to distract from my completely lightweight brain.

I’d rather be a basic bitch than the mean girl snide nasty sort of bitch, though.

You sound like my kind of gal! 😂
