What place/city would you never visit that others love?

Paris and New York for me. They don't appeal at all. Not just the amount of tourists but when I've seen of them on tv and videos they don't look attractive. I'm open to being told I'm wrong. I don't like London but would visit if I had to. I've been a few times for shows and sport etc. I always feel grubby after a visit.
I do like some cities. Favourites are Edinburgh and Barcelona. Barcelona is rife with pickpockets though so you have to be on your guard.

My ideal holiday is walking in the lakes but I still enjoy the odd city break.

So is there anywhere that is popular that doesn't appeal to you?

Most of the Middle East/North Africa. Hated Egypt, Turkey and Dubai, so I am unlikely to like Morocco, Tunisia, Qatar, etc.

I would like to go to Israel when things settle though. That’s the only exception.

Interested to know if those saying they wouldn't visit Dubai are also discounting the other Emirates as well? Over the years I've lived in 2 of them (Dubai and Fujairah) and visited the others.
Japan was never on my bucket list....but have been twice and loved it so I guess its a case of never say never.

Not sure why everyone is getting so bent out of shape about what is essentially some idle chit-chat about places you don't fancy visiting...

I have no interest in going to India. Does that make me narrow minded and yawn-worthy? Probably. It just doesn't appeal. No biggie.

Id hate to go India, based on what I see from travellers on YouTube. Bald and bankrupt, Simon Wilson etc show just how hot and horrible and dirty and how grimy it is and getting ripped off and hassled relentlessly

Its my dream to go

I would just loce to go in spring to manhattan and brooklyn and do people / tree watching.

Several times a week, I sit and watch on YouTube watched walker and walking city in New York. It makes me happy and calm.

Yes we have a democracy here, full rights to protest, freedom of expression and free speech but what we do we get for it. It's still absolutely shit here long term.

I loved our holiday and trip to Dubai and made some great memories as a family.

I quite like bits of Hull. Luton on the other hand is a complete shit hole, I was there for work a couple of months ago and couldn't believe how horrible the town centre was.

Tunisia was a massive hassle from start to finish and I wouldn't go to Australia again.

I love London, just love it. Bit of a regret I never moved there when I was young. My son wants to, but it is probably too expensive now
