to ask if you’ve seen clever/funny signs advertising a service or similar?

Hi, I was our shopping etc, and I saw a van that said that refrigeration services were available.

”007 REFRIGERATION.. licensed to chill”

It made me smile, and it got me wondering if any others had spotted an eye catching slogan.

I was told about an outdoor equipment shop in Market Bosworth (near Bosworth battlefield, where Richard III met his demise) that had a glorious sign in its window a few years ago advertising the winter sale: "Now is the winter of our discount tents".

Don't know whether it's true or not, but funny anyway.

Mr Chambers of Guildford has a portable toilet hire (for festivals and similar) called Chamber Pots.

WC in Fields is a moderately amusing name for a portable toilet hire company, and I did see once a floor fitter's van with "Lino Richie" branding. But it was a while back and I am not sure that would have the same reach today for choice of floor covering or music!

Some amusement also to be found with scaffolding companies and the crowbarring of erection into their name

I work in a jewellers and we’ve recently had to start charging people to measure their ring size if they are not looking to buy a ring (or at least pretending to). My colleague wanted to put a sign in the window that said ‘£5 a Finger!’ Confused

Growing up there was a Chinese takeaway called Wok This Way. It was in the 90s so not long after the song by Run DMC and Aerosmith.

A local gym had an ad saying "Fed up of being fat an ugly? Just be ugly" followed by the gym details.

Where I grew up there was a fried chicken shop called "Kent Tuck-In Fried Chicken". It was not in Kent. It was near Wolverhampton. I think KFC were actually trying to sue them. Not sure what happened.

There's a decorator round by me now who has his van all done up like a policy van and has "NYPD" emblazoned on the side. Underneath it says "North Yorkshire Painting and Decorating".

I've remembered another one. The lingerie shop Agent Provocateur in the Royal Exchange used to have a sign up when they had a sale on saying "KNICKERS DOWN" .

We drove past a church the other day with a sign up saying 'seven days without prayer makes one weak'. I loved that, I hope they have congregation who were drawn to their pun based preaching.

Not really an advertising slogan but the other day I was behind a window cleaner's van that had a sticker saying 'No Fairy Liquid left in this van overnight' which made me smile.

A couple of work vans. There’s a window cleaner near me with a van in the Only Fools & Horses logo - his company name is Only Poles & Hoses.

another van ‘The Singh Builders’ with a slogan underneath ‘you’ve hired cowboys - now try the Indians’ 😂 loved that one
