Surely he's not pulling this trick again?

Whether you like or agree with Trump or not, the fact is that he was democratically elected.

That there are so many posters wishing for or agreeing with the idea of Trump being assassinated just goes to show that intolerance and fascism today belongs to the far left.

Its ironic that those claiming to be anti fascist are actually the true fascists.

Darker · 26/04/2026 09:03

I just wish the USA would stand him down as president and have a good hard think about where this is all going.

We have a planet to save..,

So lots of people on this thread want a man to be murdered. Comparing Trump to Hitler is silly. Hitler had a clearly stated aim that he wanted to murder millions and take over the world. Trump just wants power in America

I live in Canada. He wants power here, too.

Fuck that, him, and his supporters.

@RingoJuice
If it was last month that the rockets were flying over your head, you can thank your beloved TRUMP for that. If he hadn’t started that shit with Iran, the rockets wouldn’t have been flying. Unless you were in Israel, then you can thank Bibi for that.

I cannot see anybody on this thread saying that you should die. Unless you are actually Trump posting here.
As I said before Trump’s assassination wouldn’t be a good thing because he would become a martyr. However, I will not be sad if he dies and I won’t be sad when Putin dies. My parents were good people but you can bet they were not said when Stalin died.

Well personally I thought it not a great idea to be picking a fight with Iran, particularly when the domestic agenda is more important to his voters.

Hopefully he can pay more attention to domestic matters. With the midterms coming up, it becomes more imperative.

But I admit I have hardened towards Iran, when prior I didn’t really care so much. They are dangerous, and target Gulf cities even when they have done nothing to deserve it. But that’s a thread for another day.

but not someone who they simply disagree with politically

unless i have missed it no one wishes ill on trump because he is a republican…its because he is trump

BIossomtoes · 26/04/2026 08:58

Are you really comfortable defending this man?

Of course they are, they’ve admitted they’re worse.

I haven't said I wish he was dead. I don't condone assassination.

I won't be sad when a stroke or some other natural cause takes him out though.

I don't think he is a good man, or a kind man, or an honest man - I think he thrives on hatred and division. I think he makes the world worse, his own people's lives worse, and his decisions are killing people everyday.

He's been convicted of crimes, his businesses have gone bankrupt, he was bezzie mates with Epstein for years but complained about him stealing one of his girls. He talks about grabbing women by the pussy.

It astounds me every day that a man like this could get elected.

Are you really comfortable defending this man?

I felt comfortable voting for him and yes, I’ll be voting for Vance next time. I’m voting in the midterms as well (and hoping the results will be favorable).

The sentiment is larger than one man

juldan · 26/04/2026 08:57

RingoJuice · 26/04/2026 08:29

I voted for him and support him (but not all things he does, that’s just not possible)

I don’t think I deserve to die just because I want millions of illegals to be removed from my homeland.

And I don’t like rockets lobbed over my head by Iran, which I was literally dealing with last month. IN A THIRD COUNTRY WHICH NEVER ATTACKED IRAN BTW

You’re one type of typical American. There are plenty of other types.

Well somebody voted for Trump besides me.

RingoJuice · 26/04/2026 08:40

Sure and you could say things just shy of ‘wish he was dead, they should have better aim’

How is that gonna help? You have legitimate concerns, maybe the US alliance isn’t working for you, these are all within the scope for discussion. This? This is not ok

Equally, don’t engage on sites if you can’t stand hearing that some of us think Trump is a twat.

You say that all the time, we are used to it. Whatever.

It’s the wishing death on him or suggesting he brought the violence on himself (people were saying the same thing about Charlie Kirk). Thats not okay. That scares me because you’ll justify violence against me,
for having similar ideas (actually I’m more hard line than even Trump on certain things). You think killing Trump will make people like me, idk, change their minds or their votes.

And that’s really not what happens in these cases. Vance would be worse for you

I lived in the UK, am married in so to speak, still post now and again. I guess you can try to get me ‘deported’ from your website if you wish.

But I think a voice from a typical American could help you get a grip though? But maybe not.

Like if you don’t want to hear from Americans like myself, maybe don’t post about Trump or participate in such threads

I bloody hope they don’t send him, looking at their supposed levels of security.

If I was Charlie, I’d be calling Starmer this morning and telling him to bugger off with the visit.

RufustheFactualReindeer · 26/04/2026 08:53

CurlewKate · 26/04/2026 07:58

For me, a big concern is, when hearing about the potential shooting of the “leader of the free world” the first thought of many of us, including me, is “I wonder if it’s true?” That says a lot about the decline in public faith in our political leaders and systems.

This

though quite honestly if it was anyone else but Trump I would be more likely to believe them. Trump and his cohort lie constantly

I also don’t think its a great idea for him to be assassinated, for a variety of reasons but also because he will then be a ‘martyr’

Aberdyfi · 26/04/2026 08:53

What is wrong with these assassins? Why are they so useless?

Bumb13B33 · 26/04/2026 08:51

HelpMeGetThrough · 26/04/2026 08:50

I expect Charlie’s thinking “Bollocks, means I have to go after all”.

If this is a typical American the sooner the special relationship is dissolved the better. I wonder if the King will see this as a good excuse to cancel his visit now?

God I hope so!

AliceNotInChains · 26/04/2026 08:48

I don’t believe it one bit, the guys stood on the stage waving guns into the crowd look like they’re auditioning for a low budget action movie. Nothing about it rings true - even the crowd don’t look too concerned.

Honestly, taking a harsher response on immigration (specifically, from the US) is about the only thing you've ever persuaded me of.
