Surely he's not pulling this trick again?

When you post on here, day after day, sharing your perspective - despite it being pretty clear that nobody values it.

When you expect us to #BeKind to the man you support, who threatens us.

I'm not espousing violent rhetoric (that's more your president's thing) - but if you want ThoughtsAndPrayers then you're barking up the wrong tree.

I prefer that you do not incite violence. Or DARVO a man that has been unnecessarily targeted for assassination (he will be leaving office in less than three years)

Well personally I thought it not a great idea to be picking a fight with Iran, particularly when the domestic agenda is more important to his voters.

Hopefully he can pay more attention to domestic matters. With the midterms coming up, it becomes more imperative.

But I admit I have hardened towards Iran, when prior I didn’t really care so much. They are dangerous, and target Gulf cities even when they have done nothing to deserve it. But that’s a thread for another day.

@RingoJuice
And when did he give a shiny shit about domestic matters?
The prices have been going up constantly since the beginning of his term due to his idiocy. First he started the nonsense with the tariffs on/off on/off. Now the war and the Straits closed/open closed/open.
I live more than 3000 miles from US and yet my life is affected negatively by Trump every day. Nowadays I cannot go to a petrol station without saying “fuck you Trump” each time. My gas and electricity will be more expensive because of Trump. There is a talk of food shortages. All of this because of one nutter in the White House.
There are some people who must be grateful for Trump though. Canadian Liberals for one. They were on their way out and now are firmly in power thanks to Trump. Hungarians are also grateful for Trump’s support of Orban. They finally got rid of him.

I hope the King now uses this as a valid reason to cancel his state visit.

I don't support anyone being shot in any circumstance but you have to admit that 3 near misses on the same person is quite weird..

I don’t think it is when you consider access to guns, MH, SM whipping people up. If you’re seeing do it posts on mumsnet on a Sunday morning then there’s going to be some people who will be unwell enough or other to try.

Where have I demanded validation?

I’m just pointing out your violent rhetoric. I am not asking you to like him or to get in line with American policy. It is entirely within your power to do things differently.

So lots of people on this thread want a man to be murdered. Comparing Trump to Hitler is silly. Hitler had a clearly stated aim that he wanted to murder millions and take over the world. Trump just wants power in America

"A civilization will die tonight ", listing himself as president of Venezuela on Wikipedia, threatening to take Greenland by force, suggesting the US should invade Canada.... yeah sure, he just wants America.

Fortunately sentiment is turning and a proportion of his followers now view him, literally, as the antichrist.

Interestingly, he's already commented that this is why he needs a ballroom in the Whitehouse, so security can be tightened.

I've only just noticed Ringo saying s(he) "still posts now and again" 😂

They're endlessly posting MAGA-crap, and yet still demand our validation.

The fragility is astounding.

I do find it extraordinary that in my lifetime a President of the USA is seemingly friends with a Russian leader like Putin. An ex KGB man. He has a picture of him in the Oval Office. Best buddies.
America who have you voted into power ?
I am not entirely confident there will be mid terms actually.

I agree about the mid-terms. There are some clauses which allow them to be cancelled, including America being at war. He's either going to drag out the Iran conflict or start a new one, like in Greenland. He's been plotting it since January.

EasternStandard · 26/04/2026 09:14

RingoJuice · 26/04/2026 08:55

You say that all the time, we are used to it. Whatever.

It’s the wishing death on him or suggesting he brought the violence on himself (people were saying the same thing about Charlie Kirk). Thats not okay. That scares me because you’ll justify violence against me,
for having similar ideas (actually I’m more hard line than even Trump on certain things). You think killing Trump will make people like me, idk, change their minds or their votes.

And that’s really not what happens in these cases. Vance would be worse for you

I think if what some are calling for happened did it probably wouldn’t improve much as Vance and those who still do support Trump would react pretty wildly.

in my view, he completely told on himself when he said “It was very unexpected.”

He’s degrading Western civilisation. Regicide should be the most shocking of crimes, not the subject of some lame spoof.

And in Venezuela, iran, Greenland, Falklands and so on and on.....He wants power anywhere that makes him and his odious friends rich..

Yes and his "envoy" is getting rich - and not elected or in an official role - better known as his son-in-law:

Nobody wants him martyed, old age will do, but for gods sake vote someone younger next time and who isn't set on world domination.
Contrary to popular rantings of Chairman Trump the world does not revolve around America.

Someone under the age of 75 would be nice.

Ditto if you don't want to hear British views about Trump. I'm sure the Fox News website has a comments thread you can join.

But seeing as you are on this thread, here's another British take. Trump is a megalomaniac and a tyrant and no better than Putin. He's made it his goal to divide American society and inflame the rest of the world and he does it for his and his family's own financial gain. The day he dies and we are rid of his cancerous rhetoric cannot come soon enough. But I want him to die of old age, in his bed, so he cannot be martyred as was clearly the aim last night.

Well the report is obviously genuine, but from what’s being said he never got anywhere near Trump or the main room, doubtless Trump will go on about how incredibly brave he was though and probably deserves a medal for just how brave he was

I lived in the UK, am married in so to speak, still post now and again. I guess you can try to get me ‘deported’ from your website if you wish.

But I think a voice from a typical American could help you get a grip though? But maybe not.

Like if you don’t want to hear from Americans like myself, maybe don’t post about Trump or participate in such threads

A think you need to focus on your president not giving 2 shiny shits about your nations children needing to do active shooter drills because they’re shot at in school on a regular basis and anybody can get hold of a gun.

You have a gun problem. Maybe if MAGA stopped brown nosing the NRA for funding you wouldn’t have people able to jog into the White House and take aim at your president.

Also maybe take a step back from your arrogance, there is a whole big wide world out there. You enjoy your tariffs, higher prices, third world health care, infectious disease outbreaks, war mongering , woeful women’s rights, guns…..there are plenty of other countries to trade and aline with.
