I was talking about American citizens and people who have visas and were still detained by ICE.
There are people who had green cards and the right to stay revoked with no reason. Ukrainians who fled the war have had their visas revoked under Trump just because.

So you will be happy if someone drags you off the street, revokes your visa and kicks you out of the country without any reason whatsoever.

They had their claim denied recently. They are from Ecuador, it was never going to work. Vast majority of claims from Ecuador are denied because being from a violent or poor country is not an accepted basis for asylum.

I’ve had to go to a paichusuo in China over a visa issue (sorted it, my company’s fault) and have an interview with the police in a second language. Also over some travel that was innocent but seemed suspect to the relevant authorities. It was fine.

Why is that? I have lived in multiple countries and always had a proper visa. I don’t have an automatic right to live wherever I like.

They have zero basis to stay in America and a judge recently denied their asylum request anyway. It would have been better for them to understand that their claims wouldn’t fly in the first place instead of drag their fake claims through the courts and prolong this stupidity
