Could Zack Polanski be any more of an obnoxious twat?

Just seen him saying this:

'I am concerned about the rise in antisemitism and we know Jewish communities are saying they feel unsafe. There is a conversation to be had over whether it's a perception that they feel unsafe or whether they are actually unsafe.'

WTAF? Can you imagine if a politician said that to Muslims after a series of absolutely awful targeted attacks where people have died?

he's an appeaser and a handmaiden - like how some women who think they can be protected from violence and abuse by appeasing / enabling / supporting violent men. They think that if they are allies then it protects them.

I don’t know about that.

What worries me is that his unhinged policies and statements strengthen his party.

What that tells us about the current state of the UK is terrifying.

I agree. He's doing exactly what the entryists into the GP wants him to do. Give them a shield for their anti Semitism- 'How can we be anti Semitic when we have a Jewish leader?' while they proceed to downplay terrorist acts against British citizens. He is either stupid or doesn't care. The anti semites, both Far Left agitators and Islamic fundamentalists are now a far larger group than the cosy environmentalists, so that's who he is playing to.

The Evening Standard already has a story headlined "Zack Polanski slammed for sharing tweet criticising Golders Green terror attack police" on its website
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/green-leader-zack-polanski-golders-green-terror-attack-b1280544.html

And its account on Facebook has the same headline. I imagine it has the same on other social media, too.

The London Evening Standard.

London, where the Greens think they'll do well

Hopefully, people will realise that before they pop their X down. Do we really want more hatred, more terrorist attacks, more marches that do nothing for the people they say they are marching for, more chanting idiots on the streets every single weekend.

Today more crap from ZP.... poor knife attacker. The leader of the green party is odd.

"The Green Party leader has shared a tweet that said the officers were acting 'violently' towards the knifeman who was Tasered after allegedly stabbing Shilome Rand, 34, and Moshe Shine, 76."

So are we the police to be gently, gently towards perpetrators of terrorist acts. What the heck is coming to the UK. Green party is the upside and back to front party.

God, he's desperate, isn't he? Has he ever tackled a man with a knife, intent on murder?
Why align himself with the perpetrator?

Yes.

Re the op what happens to someone who has just stabbed a 70ish year old man who is merely waiting at a bus stop isn’t a priority.

The fact that he stabbed someone else and five minutes later this is really scary for the people targeted.

He is absolutely playing to the left anti semitism brigade which is utterly shameful

but I also think he appealed to more moderate left wing voters, as he appeared to be a nice guy who just wants more fairness in society I do believe many of them will be questioning his motives now

he is extremely ambitious, nothing wrong with that unless you are happy to support divisions in society

The mask is slipping.

Oh they make me sick. Why can't more people just see there is too much antisemitism in the Green party. And their leader is a big part of the problem.

I hope the government sees now where falling for the "free speech" argument has ended up.

Not just this government, the Tories before them too.

Yes, it certainly accelerated because it was enabled.

inamarina · 30/04/2026 08:01

ScarlettOYara · 29/04/2026 20:34

I agree. I've seen it myself in the workplace, the emerging bigotry, the ignorance, the stereotypes of Jews.
It's all accelerated since the atrocities of Oct 7th, which are still minimised and denied by many.

I’ve also been seeing it amongst people I know.
Lovely, well meaning people saying things like “it’s not antisemitic, it’s just anti-Zionist”, using the word “Zionist” in the way they would use “white suprematist”, saying the attacks on Jews in the UK while being unacceptable are consequences of Israel’s actions…

Twiglets1 · 30/04/2026 07:59

ScarlettOYara · 30/04/2026 07:44

Exactly this. Hatred was allowed to grow, and spread. It normalised the language of terror. It was everywhere. It should have been stopped.

I wonder how many of these people go on the 'peace' marches calling to 'globalise the intifada' scream 'free Palestine at all who pass, run into McDonald's shouting at people , march pass Jewish areas causing fear, sit in the road, holding up signs for Palestine action, (who think it ok to whip security guards, take sledgehammers to break in raids, and 1 member took a sledgehammer to.a prone policewoman's back and broke her spine apparently in fear for himself) 🙄.

This building of hatred week by week matters, this obsession with Gaza, above all, over all world problems eg in Sudan, Yeman etc., builds an intolerance for anyone who doesn't join the marching club. Logic goes out the window

Preppyprepper · 30/04/2026 06:21

I think the Green Party carries a stigma now that Reform carries.

If someone votes Labour/Libdem/Tory/SNP etc then they may share different opinions to you, while still being mainstream and not a bad person.

If someone votes Green they are agreeing with the racist antisemitic filth that half their MPs spout. Putting a Green party banner in your window signals you are a racist and dimwit, in the same way as putting up a reform poster, or a union jack with a bulldog on.

Anyone who openly admits to voting or supporting Green is now outing themselves as a racist antisemite, supporter of perverts and drug use.

ThatCyanCat · 29/04/2026 20:45

Ihatetomatoes · 29/04/2026 20:31

It has sown hatred.

What good could come out of "globalise the intifada", calling The Houthis to stop ships, screaming 'Free Palestine ' in the faces of people in the UK. It did nothing good, but encouraged and emboldened hatred against innocent Jewish people here in the UK.

Edited

After a while, when it becomes clear that that's all it achieves, since it doesn't do fuck all for Gazans (nobody who gives a shit about Gazans would fail to denounce Hamas, much less support them, ), you have to start wondering what the objective has always been.
