My Dsis's exH tried to try it on with me (more than once) also my cousin and several other close friends and family over the course of their marriage. Their grown up DC have no idea.

Ex BIL pulled his dingdong out and started jacking himself off in front of me when I was seated next to him in the backseat while Dsis was driving. Dsis denied it for years! When I tried to approach her about it, she kicked me out of our DP's home where she had been living at the time.

Towards the end the shit show of a marriage, he also went on a mad cocaine binge, hired prostitutes for an orgy and withdrew £25k from their joint bank account to pay for it!

This isn't even all of it! Putting this down here makes it feel even more horrific.

Wowzer. And I thought my family were bad.

Full respect to your mum, who has time for baking pies from scratch?

Love it!

A housemate from uni is still with the same boyfriend she had when I knew her. Really sweet guy. We’re now nearing 40. She’d put off having kids for ages when a few years ago he told her he really wanted kids and if she didn’t he’d like to move on and find someone who did. So she said ok let’s try for a baby.

Unbeknownst to him she continued to take the pill while “trying” for several years. Then pretended she couldn’t face IVF and cried it was probably all her fault because she’d had an eating disorder and he felt too bad to push it. So they’ve now given up. I feel so bad for him.

That’s sad for both of them. He’d like to be a dad.

I work in a dagis (Swedish nursery). One of the married Dad's made a pass at my friend when she temped for him. He was quite persistent and constantly inviting her on dates. Next week my friend begins work in the same as his section his 18 month old daughter. Dad does drop offs, mum does picks up. My friends will be shadowing the morning handovers as they are keen on new staff getting to know the parents.

Eww that's seedy. Hitting on the nursery staff while your child is right there?!

Not much thankfully! Have had some shockers in the past best friend involved with other best friend’s DH. Why they thought they’d never be found out I don’t know. Caused 2 divorces. Plus kids involved.

A couple in our street are about to open a swingers club. It’s about 40 mins away. I’ve known for years they were involved in that scene, but others locally are likely just about to start finding out as the opening gets nearer.

There are some people objecting to it (even though it was already a swingers club until it closed for sale and refurb and was so problem free some of the objectors didn’t even realise it was there!) and I think they’ll be mind blown when they realise that the owners - who they seem to be picturing as some wild pair wandering around naked and being inappropriate are actually the very normal couple from down the street

about to start finding out as the opening gets nearer.

Pun intended? 😂

Weirdly this conjures up images of a colossal disembodied vulva approaching through the urban landscape and ppl fleeing for their lives!

Perhaps he’s a pet? Be good to think the balance of power in that house wasn’t one man controlling 4 women.

Perhaps he's a pet 😆

my mums famous home made steak pie that she’s often asked to bring to extended family gatherings is actually from the local butchers. She buys it and very carefully transfers it to her own pie dishes 😂

I used to do similar with shop bought mince pies at Christmas.... Until my late husband's father asked "if I could make some more that tasted as good as the ones from Markies.... ?" Okay Pete, no worries 😁 😋🤣🤣

Approx 10% of men bring up a child mistakingly believing they are the biological father of that child.

Do you have a source for this? This particular statistic is very difficult to measure, for obvious reasons.

Guy across the road is a real fitness fanatic, as is his wife. But every Wednesday afternoon, without fail, Dominos turns up with two large pizzas when I know he’s home alone, working. A few hours later, he emerges with the boxes and puts them in the bin, having polished off the lot. His wife is non the wiser.

This is my favourite ❤️

How did you find this out?!

My sister’s son is the result of a long running affair with her business partner. Both of them are married. Neither spouse knows. She often takes her son to meet her business partner and his children in the park.

Your sister is a horrible person.
I don't know how she can live with herself.

Oh I love this!

Someone I know has raised their child all their life believing they are the biological father, found out when child was 16 that the wife had had an affair abroad at the time of conception and he isn't the father... Aside from obviously being very sad, there is a man out there who she didn't even get the name of that has a 16 year old child they know nothing about 😮

My DSis had my wonderful DN 23 years ago with donor sperm. Both she & BIL have no intention of telling DNiece at all, as 'Her dad is her dad & it won't change that'. Well, yes, but i think she should know. She's training to be a doctor, so I wonder if she'll work it out somehow via medical information as BIL gets older. They're super close & it bothers me she doesn't know.

That reminds me of a couple I know, let's call them George and Mildred. Mildred got pregnant by her then boyfriend. They split up early in the pregnancy and she started seeing George. They subsequently went on to get married and have two more DC. To this day, the oldest DC (now in his late thirties) still doesn't know George isn't his biological father.

Aworldofmyown · 09/04/2026 02:59

My sons PE teachers wife is having an affair with one of the mums at their daughters school.
Hes a really nice man and everyone seems to know but him 😔

PetsPalace · 09/04/2026 02:59

When I started my first job a male manager and female colleague were having an affair, not hiding it very well and I walked in on them kissing anyway. I knew he was married but didn't know whether they were separated etc.
A few weeks later at a family gathering my partner's cousin's teenage son introduced us to his girlfriend who turned out to be the male manager's daughter. It became clear that no, they didn't know he was having affair.
I didn't know anyone well enough to say anything (I suppose I wasn't 100% sure it was the same Mr Manager although the details I did know matched). It played out quite quickly after that with them getting a flat together near work and him moving out. Horrendous.
I don't think anyone knows about this weird coincidence.

Evidemment · 09/04/2026 02:55

HelenaWaiting · 09/04/2026 02:06

We can be dismissed for accessing medical information for non-medical reasons so I would say it's highly unlikely that she would find out through her work.

Why would she suddenly go looking though medical records if she has no idea? Think you've somehow managed to get completely the wrong end of the stick there.
PP definitely meant she might work it out through acquired knowledge of (e.g.) genetics etc as her training continues

He must have, but I can't imagine how.
I met him once when he picked her up from work, and he was just a little, beige middle aged man.
Must have oozed charisma when he turned it on....🤔

Can I ask how you’re sure it wasn’t religious? My exDH tried to use religion as an excuse for bringing another woman into our marriage, and we’re about the last people you would expect - when people are dealing with religious abuse, they usually keep it very quiet. ExDH cut the bullshit religious excuses when I left and is now finally “out” as his true self - a sociopath and Mensa member, and he’s enormously proud of both.
