She is not the first and unlikely to be the last to deny the rapes on October 7th. This should be a fringe extremist view - without rebuttal of this by the green party, does that indicate they silently accept/agree with her views? Or have they distanced themselves and I haven't seen it?
Concerning.

I've just checked and cannot see anything from them. Hopefully, they will respond and not just leave it. If they don't respond it shows us who they are. I did vote Green many years ago on environmental grounds. The party has changed and not for the better in many ways.

Again, hopefully they will respond to the criticism 🤔

I can. It's Jewish men and women.

I think rape of anyone male or female and from any nation is abhorrent and is NEVER 'resistance'. Rape is about control, humiliation and dominance. It is NEVER acceptable.

Horrifying.

Could you go back and find and then quote exactly (word for word) what you did say about 2005 and about the war starting in Oct 7?

Why don't you do it, since you are so very invested in my posts? OTOH
you could just post about what this thread is about - the Green Party and their attitudes towards women who were raped on and after 7 October 2023.

I also completely understood what this poster wrote. 💐
There has been no statement of clarification or denial from either Abi Wilkinson or Zack Polanski, or anyone representing the Greens to clarify, deny, or apologise.

We shall see if they make one.

Maybe they will just wait it out and let other news take over....

There was upset, disgust and anger at the comments made.

Green Party Faces Fury Over Spin Doctor's Denial of October 7 Rapes

Green Party leader Zack Polanski hires spin doctor Abi Wilkinson, who denies rapes occurred in October 7 Hamas attacks, prompting calls for her sacking and accusations of anti-Semitism.

I understood what the poster meant perfectly well.

I'm sure he doesn't need you to defend him and his posts. He's quite capable of telling us we are 'biased' or that we lack 'thinking skills' or 'reading skills/comprehension' as he has done throughout his posting.

Again the thread topic has been lost.

Yes, I find those responses very patronising.

magneticclocks · 06/03/2026 10:13

HappyFace2025 · 06/03/2026 10:10

So you are saying that when Israel as you say left Gaza there was no intention to leave it in peace????

That is not what I said at all.

@twiglets1 and @Ihatetomatoes
Just to let you know as a biological female I find it deeply offensive for you to be referring to "female" and "male" styles of posting. There are virtually no differences between male and female brains other than to do with hormones. Differences in style are to do with conditioning. And men are in fact allowed to post on MN, though the assumption is that most of us are female. Just letting you know, I don't expect you to agree with me.

Their posts have been misunderstood and misread, that is the problem.

Apparently, if we don't understand and we get upset by comments, it's a 'comprehension problem'. I understood perfectly well, as did others, who also shared our disgust. He has backtracked a bit on comments finally when pushed by another poster. That's something I suppose 🙄

Anyway, enough of him. This thread is about a women who is a spin doctor/press representative for The Green party and comments about no rapes on October 7th. It was side-tracked by other comments.

I hope the Green Party at least make a statement or offer their representative some training. I fear they will won't do much though. We shall see.

People on this thread haven't indicated that they think the war started on Oct 7th so you are lying about that.

You are biased against Israel which is obvious in many of your posts and just because you can say that Hamas are guilty of appalling things doesn't change that. It's also untrue to say the "the rest of you think Israel are totally innocent in all this".

Never have I said that or thought that. I have criticised Netanyahu several times in discussions about Gaza on the CITME board, and in particular the more extremist members of his government. I have criticised times when they have blocked humanitarian aid into Gaza, I have criticised the Settlers. Yet still, I am willing to admit I have a bias towards Israel in their war with Hamas.

Hamas are terrorist monsters who don't even care about killing their own people - their own citizens are just collateral damage to them in their longstanding battle with Israel. Noted the way you parrot Hamas propaganda: One thing it HAS done, is raise the profile of Palestinians and their struggle to the world. And I don't think Israel have improved their reputation in the process.

Obviously you see some positives to the war in Gaza. Well I hope you're happy with the extremely heavy price Gazan civilians have paid for Hamas triggering a war to raise the profile of Palestinian struggles.

That’s a very good point. “Let’s raise the profile of Palestinians by wrecking their lives even more”, what a brilliant idea.

OrangeAxolotyl · 06/03/2026 10:05

There is most definitely a comprehension problem on this thread, @IcyPlumShaker .
You yourself felt motivated to clarify your own posts.
Stop with the constant repetitive mantra of "pro Israel bias". It really doesn't further any discussion and is just a blunt instrument to hit people with.

magneticclocks · 06/03/2026 10:03

HappyFace2025 · 06/03/2026 09:44

I have not said that 'Israel had left Gaza in peace from 2005"! Israel left Gaza period, Jews who were living there had to be removed from their homes by the israeli army. 'Peace' was broken by the constant barrage of rockets over Israel sent by Hamas over the past 20 years. The current war was begun as a direct result of the 7 October atrocities.
Please stop with making out I am lying especially after I took the time and trouble to answer your questions yesterday. I note you haven't answered mine.

So you are saying that when Israel as you say left Gaza there was no intention to leave it in peace????

I didn't say you were lying in relation to this and said I might have got your statement wrong.

Re Gaza have a look at my long post quoting from a military magazine - it refers to a project which was put in place by Israel in 2008. So as I said upthread, I think you are factually wrong in your analysis (not lying)
I have now responded to your other post and I did appreciate your reply explaining your point of view, thank you

We don't know for sure. Though I do agree that they appear to speak with a male voice more than a female voice. Given the exchange I referred to above (my post at 9.43).

HappyFace2025 · 06/03/2026 10:01

It looks like I am the only poster who believes the war did begin after the atrocities committed by Hamas on 7 October. The retaliation (if people prefer to use that term instead of war) was the start of what is now commonly called the war in Gaza.

IcyPlumShaker · 06/03/2026 09:59

magneticclocks · 06/03/2026 09:30

@IcyPlumShaker I might be wrong but I think emotions were heightened because I posted the above quotes from a military magazine.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I think you're right.

I do stand by everything I've said. I haven't backtracked at all.

I don't think I ever said anywhere that the Israeli victims on Oct 7th were not innocent, or were ' asking for it ' or anything like that. I can also completely accept that some were raped; I'm not trying to deny that happened either.

I do think there is a comprehension problem for some people on this thread. Either that, or they're not really thinking clearly.

I'm really disheartened by the obvious pro-Israel bias by some people on here, and their refusal to see that Israel has done anything wrong. I'm not pro-Hamas, or even pro-Palestine particularly - if there was a thread where people were saying Palestine was completely innocent, I'd be taking issue with that too.

As the old saying goes, ' there are none so blind as will not see ' - I think that's the territory we're dealing with here.

Indeed. There's just a strange approach to take issue with one poster by attacking another! It really defies logic.
