I Googled them and they don't look like a good prospect at all!

Here is Restore's blessed leader with his pound shop Farage act:

Nothing racist about wanting to control your borders.

Nothing racist about wanting British born people to be prioritised when it comes to social housing

Nothing racist about thinking the benefits system should be for British born people only

Nothing racist about expecting foreign nationals to learn the language of the country they have chosen to live in

Nothing racist about wanting the justice system to treat everyone the same regardless of their colour, culture or religion

What exactly IS racist about Reform?

Nothing racist about thinking the benefits system should be for British born people only

This policy is utterly stupid, probably written on the back of one of Farage's fag packets like the rest of Reform's policies. It is also xenophobic and racist.

Farage is an odious human being and his sad little "shadow cabinet" is full of odious human beings.

So you think its not racist that a British born citizen, who is married to a foreign born person, or a foreign born couple, with children born here, hence UK citizens, should be denied Social housing? any form of benefits?

People coming here already have to pass English tests and the law is required to treat everyone equally, though how you get rid of bias in all sectors of society is another matter.

Reform have promised to get rid of the Equalities Act, so treating people of different colour or sex etc would become legal.

Hopefully, they will split the right-wing racist vote and neither of them will get in.

Ill be voting either reform or Restore - whichever one has the highest chance of getting in come election time. Time to stop the nonsense.

Mumsnet certainly has an increase of bonkers threads at the moment. The term suicidal empathy comes to mind.

I get why people want change, Labour or the Tories have hardly covered themselves in glory.

I just don't get how Reform, with ex Tories in many of the positions of potential power, are the answer.

Jenrick, Braverman etc etc etc have all heavily been involved in the "nonsense" you to stop, they haven't changed.

Agreed - either will be better than this horror show of a government.

What an unmitigated disaster they have been.

Welfare socialism does not work.

I think Labour, considering the demands on budgets, are doing ok, not good but better than the last few years of the previous Govt.

Even growth is better than the previous 18months leading into the GE.......we've avoided a Sunak Recession, Tories like to forget about the 6months of negative growth he gave us in 2023..... wonder why?

Tories also don't say how they would pay for things like Defence, SENDs, PO & Blood scandals, fix roads.... fund MH provision, all they do is snipe, nothing constructive to add.....

Inflation down at 3%, BoE rates lowest for many years, that will be helping anyone with mortgage.

I know some say jobs market "decimated" but thats rubbish, an employment rate of 5.2% is about average and its just 0.6% higher than when they took over & it was on upward trend before July 2024.

Unemployment went to 8% within 3 years of the Tories taking over last time they got in..... oh wait, do i hear "that was Labours fault...."😂

UK companies, heavily represented in the FTSE All Share is at record highs, so despite the ENI increases, generally, companies are doing well.

You can ask what you like. I hope Reform get in or Restore. I hope the kick up the arse to the mainstream parties makes them rethink about resting on their laurels.

TroubleHubbleBubble · 18/02/2026 00:51

I used to be horrified at the prospect of a Reform government and to be fair, I still am. However, part of me is slightly looking forward to what a total car crash their going to be in power, and looking forward to their tantrums when subjected to even the smallest amount of scrutiny and accountability.

That said, the impending shambles is going to have a very negative impact on a lot of people, some of whom will deserve it (those who voted for them) and others who are innocent victims of their brainless “solutions” to complex problems.

The onus is not on them to save anything but it's now on Labour. How's that working out?

Well Labour won’t be saving anything either. Also laughable.

Snap!!

Conservatives caused all of this by fucking up so spectacularly over so many years. The idea that they will save anything is laughable.
